villas situated in the unique Moonhole community are not generally
close to the beach itself. This 2 bedroom villa is the first property
located near the Moonhole entrance and enjoys a rare beachfront
position. There is white sand at the entrance of this lovely beach house and the sand meets fringes of palms and the ocean thereafter. This idyllic and unique beach house has become available for guests to enjoy at this stunning location.
Perfect for 2 or 4
A romantic interi...or carved from the landscape sleeps 4 guests comfortably or can provide a unique hideaway for just 2. The curved windows open to the delightful caribbean climate are cut from local island stone. A dining area hugs the curved walls and allows guests to snuggle into comfortable nooks and crannys whilst entertaining.
Gaudiesque Forms
This
unique community sculpted from the local stone and curved like the
headland itself offers guests a unique vacation experience. The
architectural style, reminiscent of Gaudi's Barcelona curves blends
beautifully into the natural landscape.
Breezy Organic Interior
The
villa is cooled by the windward breezes that are constantly ushered
into the villa by the large, arched windows and open balconys facing
the sea.
Hammocks outside in the shade amongst mature palms are perfect for guests to relax and unwind.
The Beach
Moonhole
Beach is a quiet and simply beautiful white, sandy beach perfect for
swimming and snorkeling. Indigenous cedar and sea grape trees fringe
the beach providing much needed shade from the caribbean sun.
Stone Steps
Beautiful,
hand carved, asymetrical stone steps form the major routes to and from
the accommodations at Moonhole. The propertys are situated inside a
peninsula that opens onto a virtual cliff face overlooking the sea.
Due to the height of the drop this house would not necessarily be
suitable for guests with children.
Romantic Solar Lamps
This charming environment is further enhanced by solar lamps, solar flashlights, lanterns and candles.
Natural Showers
Guests can cool off after a warm Caribbean sun under the natural rainwater showers.
Moonhole History
The
Moonhole Community was formed over 40 years ago when these properties
were constructed from and using the indigenous environment. An
association was formed to preserve the properties and restrict any
further development. Staying at Moonhole allows guests to feel part
of the environment, cooled by the ocean breezes and warmed by the
Caribbean sun.
Moonhole Wildlife
This is a nature
lovers paradise with a wide variety of indigenous creatures to be seen
including Green Turtles, Fruit Bats, Iguanas, Lizards and Tree Frogs.
Some wild birds have been known to nest inside the houses at Moonhole
due to their proximity to the ocean, birds like Carib Grackles, Egrets,
Blue Herobs and Ground Doves are frequently seen.
Housekeeper & Cook
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
will be prepared and served throughout the duration of guests stay at
Moonhole. This service is included in the rental. Provisions are
provided and guests will be invoiced for these at their departure.
Full staff services & consideration of a appropriate tip
Due
to the full staff services at this property the owner suggests an
consideration is made from the outset to tip the staff accordingly . So
a 10 - 20% tip is recommended.
