Description from the owner

Completely renovated century old farmhouse in Vermont. Located on 75 acres with brooks and waterfalls, we are up on the mountain ... yet only 14 miles from Montpelier, Vermont's capital city.

Skiing is close by with Sugarbush / Mad River Glen just a 20 minute drive and Stowe is only about 35-40 minutes away.

Our Guesthouse has a private apartment on the second floor that can be rented as either a one bedroom (queen), or a two bedroom (second room is double) unit.

We also have guest rooms in the main part of the house. These are double bed, and share bath, kitchen, and living area with owner and 1 kitty...well, no kitty in...Read more

What a lovely place! Dawn is a caring and welcoming host. The guest house is very comfortable, well provided and very calm. The perfect place for a retreat and for nature lovers and bird watchers. Thanks for everything Dawn. We loved it!

      Fantastic property, Perfect host

Left on 06/17/2013 for a stay in April 2012

My wife and I stayed at Dawn's guesthouse with our two kids. It was a great secluded location, but not too far from Burlington, Montpelier or any of the numerous hikes in the area. Dawn was the perfect host; our boys adored her cats. They also ran around the whole property, finding swimming holes and crossing wooden bridges.

      We had a great time!

Left on 06/17/2013 for a stay in September 2012

Expect a warm welcome at this wonderful guesthouse!Located in a truly natural environment, this charming residence provides comfort, peace, and an exceptional view of the lush surroundings. Dawn, the hostess and owner of the property, couldn't be more pleasant. She had home-made goodies waiting for us in the fridge and made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. She was there if we needed her, but we were mostly on our own, free to explore the grounds, or sit quietly outside, in a kind of Zen garden surrounded by a colorful array of plants and trees. Expect to do some walking or low-level climbing up the road, or take the car to the next town over, because this is located in a sparsely populated area. We had no qualms with that fact and enjoying walking down the gravel road.

Staying at the Three Covered Bridges Guesthouse was a great experience. The location is perfect. It's just 10 to 15 minutes from Montpelier, in the nature. Driving there is relaxing, as you get out of the city and drive between the mountains et follow a beautiful river. Don't worry though, there is a grocery store five minutes from the guesthouse. The guesthouse is surrounded by waterfalls - you car hear them when you are outside or open the windows. When we arrived, Dawn welcomed us with a great smile. She is a very friendly person, always available to help us. She made sure we were okay and confortable. We loved everything about our stay and would recommend the guesthouse to anybody.

      Beautiful, tranquil guesthouse in Vermont

Left on 06/09/2013 for a stay in July 2012

We had such a lovely stay at Dawn's beautiful guest house. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and Dawn has done a great job taking care of it. We loved roaming around, dipping our feet in the brooks, and enjoying her secluded piece of nature. Montpelier is close, and we bought groceries from the co-op there, cooked dinner and breakfast in the guest house, and enjoyed our meals outdoors on the patio and in the garden. We spent our days roaming around some small farms in central Vermont, and hitting up Burlington, Shelburne Farms, and even Battleboro on our way back to New York. Dawn was a great host - helpful, friendly, welcoming, but un-intrusive and hands off. Her cat, Katie was a delight too :). Thank you so much for having us!

Fresh, crisp, ambient and much much more

Dawn's cabin is amazing. It is furnished with exquisite taste making you feel right at home. The pictures do not do justice to the place. The 75 acres of land are gorgeous, with pretty waterfalls, a gentle creek, an abundant vegetable garden and one of the sweetest most soft spoken hosts you will encounter on airbnb. My eight year old slid down the waterfall over and over again and my 5 month old splashed around in the waterhole. Perfect for families! We had dinner with Dawn our second night and she made us an amazing vegetable casserole fresh from her garden. We found the fridge stocked with orange juice, milk, and home made cake complements of your hospitable host. The area is gorgeous too, and there is so much to do. Just ask Dawn, and she will provide you with options tailored to your interests. Amazing place, amazing host. We will definitely come back again.
