We enjoyed our stay at Wilscot Ridge Lodge very much. There was lots to do there without having to leave. The gameroom was great for entertaining our family. The fenced area was nice for our dogs to play. The home was lovely and provided comfort in every room. The beautiful outdoor countryside provided privacy for a family walk or just a breath of fresh mountain air. In conclusion, we didn't want to leave this beautiful mountain lodge.
Management was wonderful in helping with any inquiries that we had. We plan on visiting again soon.Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats - 01/14/2013

Sarasota, FL, United StatesBest Vacation Home in Georgia!
Left on 12/12/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We have been vacationing in Georgia at Thanksgiving for the last 5 years. I would now definately stop looking and always want to return to this location. Not only was the home beautiful inside and out but the property was incredible. Hiking trails, the pond, the fenced in dog area were great! Our dogs really enjoyed their stay as well. The staff was exceptional. I was called by the staff within minutes of arriving to let me know that I could contact them for any needs. I would highly recommend this home to anyone vacationing in Georgia.

Left on 11/09/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our family of 8 takes annual fall vacations to north ga and I always look for weeks on-line for a place that has ALL the amenities my family desires, This one has it ALL. We had wonderful family meals around the gorgeous dining room table, we fished and caught a large catfish, brim and bass and our 3 year old grandboy caught his first fish ever. We had a monopoly game going for two days, the grown children spent quality time together laughing and reconnecting. On the last night we had a smores hotdog roast outside around the campfire and we even were welcome to bring our family dogs with us!!! Times like we had at Wilscot are Priceless. We drove up on wednesday and didn't get in our cars until sunday. No need to go to town, just enjoy the home, It has everything.

Our family of 7 easily fit into this great hideaway. There were tons of things to do on property with a pool table, ping pong, hot tub, and good fishing in the large pond just a few steps from the lodge. The great room was very roomy so that the family could spend time together. We also spent one evening around the fire pit telling ghost stories and roasting marshmellows. Our master bedroom could be closed off for privacy and we really enjoyed coffee in the morning on our private upper deck. My wife loved the decor and especially the stone shower in one of the guest bathrooms. All in all, we had a great time getting away from the rat race and taking time to unwind.

With a combined family of 4 adults, a 4-year old and a baby, there was plenty of room for everyone in this beautiful lodge. It was quiet and peaceful, yet fairly close to activities. The staff was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the natural setting and the ping pong table. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Do Not Stay at This Property! The beds were infested with bed bugs!

It is very unfortunately that you are not telling the true and worse is your attitude to heart a beautiful property imposing your negative agenda. I like to take this opportunity to talk about the facts of your stay. Your arrival was on Friday and your departure schedule for Monday Morning; it was on Sunday afternoon when you contacted us to let us know you and your girlfriend expend time in the woods and she have some bites; I told you that probably were chiggers bites very popular in the woods this time of the year; you also told me that only she had those bites. In the hypothetical case there were bed bugs in the property, what is definitely not the situation at all, both of you were going to have signs of bugs bites, not just your girlfriend and you will notice the situation since the first day of your arrival and not 2 days later. We have the property schedule back-to-back, the other party arrived on May 28 in the afternoon and their departure was on June 14th, these guests never reported anything, I spoke with them several times during their stay. Is obvious that if we have bed bugs infestation in this property we will have the same complaint from guests more than ones, and I want to assure anyone that if we have a problem in any property we will assess and target the situation immediately. We don’t appreciate at all your comments for the only reasons that are not true and we don’t appreciate misleading other guests under false premises. Very nice home - wonderfully large family room and dining room for large family gatherings. Built a fire and made smores. Was told the house sits in the middle of 13 acres - not actually true we could see Highway 60 and a subdivision road from the front door. Was also told there were hiking trails right on the property - never found them. All in all - very nice home but would have preferred more accurate information from rental company.

We took our grown children for a long fall weekend, and we so enjoyed the Wilscott Ridge Estate! The bedrooms were comfortably large, there are plenty of bathrooms, and although there are houses closeby the yard is very quiet and private. We played horseshoes and croquet and lawn bowling and had a campfire in the fire pit on a clear, cool night. The hot tub was wonderful as well. Having no cell service at the house meant no one could interrupt our family time, and having wireless internet access meant that we could check email at our own pace. If the kitchen were big enough to gather in, it would have been absolutely perfect.
