The house is charming, beautifully set, chic and everything you would expect
with a little more... The wood burning fire in the front room features strongly
in my memory with countless glasses of wine and hours chatting in front of
it... You can go wine tasting a short drive away and if you have developed a
taste for Cognac well you are in for a treat as it's only a short walk away!
Finally - if you fancy a midnight swim - this place will do just the job! This
place is perfect for you to enjoy the best of this amazing region of France...
and come home with memories that will live on with your friends and family
forever!

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Les Claveaux in the middle of winter to celebrate the New Year with friends. There is plenty to see and do even at this time of year. Our stay included a visit to the Hennessy factory where we were able to sample and learn more about their lovely Cognac. We were also able to visit a number of neighboring towns which included a visit to a local black truffle market. These were purchased and savored later over dinner back at the house. Walking through the local vineyards and farms was scenic and not too taxing for the entire group which consisted of adults and children. The last day we were able to drive all the way to the beach (circa 1 1/2 hours) and enjoy lunch and a walk on the sand.
I highly recommend a visit to this beautifully renovated, charming house in the French countryside.
