This quality country home is a short walk to tennis courts and a shared beach at Kilnwood on Lake Kanasatka. There is a bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed. There is a bedroom upstairs with a set of twin bunkbeds, another bedroom with two twins, and a third bedroom with one full. The carpeted lower level rec room has a ping pong table. This house has an open, yet cozy, feel, and is in a great neighborhood to walk or ride bikes. There is a trout pond in the front yard and the fish are fed daily. This was a very good rental. We had a great vacation - the house is in great location. Lake Kanasatka was closer than I thought it would be - very easy walk. We canoed and kayaked every day. Lake Winnipesaukee is very close as well, you can easily go there (5 min drive) and swim at the Center Harbor town beach. The beach area on Lake Kansatka was a bit small but it was sufficient. We saw Loons every day. Easy drive north to Conway and attractions up there and easy drive to Weirs Beach, Meredith and other areas. The one disappointment with the house was the gas grill - it was terrible, too small and just about out of service - get a new grill! I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to get a way for a casual lake vacation and have easy access to Lake Winnipesaukee and White Mountain area.
Things we did while we stayed there - ms. Mt. Washington Boat ride, Castle in the Clouds tour, Weirs Beach, Shopped in North Conway, Hiked Mt. Washington, Loon Center visit / hike, Hiked Red Hill. -

Another relaxing & peaceful vacation at Lake Kanasatka.
Our 2nd year in the Trout Pond Home. A very comfortable
and nicely furnished home. Convenient to walk to lake
to kayak and also close to hiking trails and many other
activities. Would recommend this home to others who are
ready for a relaxing time at the lake.

The Trout Pond Home is a comfortable, clean
place to stay. We enjoyed the quiet area and feeding the fish. It's a short walk to the beach & lake where we kayaked every day. The weather was a bit warmer the week that we were there, but the house has sufficient fans to make it comfortable. The bedrooms and living area is furnished nicely. The kitchen was nice as well, the only thing it lacked was enough pots and pans considering that we made the majority of our meals. We would definitely recommend
renting this house and would consider staying here again if we come to NH. -

This is our 2nd year in a row with Preferred vacation rentals in the same house. Preferred always gives incredible and friendly service. The house itself is perfection. We have been renting homes in NH twice a year for 10 years now and always plan little day trips. At the Trout Pond House the kids(ranging in age from 3-20 years old)would love it if we did nothing but play by the pond and lake all day long. It is serene enough to just sit and enjoy the wildlife while the kids play hard all day and sleep great at night. Perfection!

I have rented houses in the White Mountains twice a year for ten years and decided to try the lakes region this year. We were not disappointed. The house was much larger than we expected, the trout pond alone provided hours of daily entertainment and we walked to the lake twice a day every day for a swim. It was heavenly. We will be back.
