The cabin is charming, clean, well-equipped and more than we hoped for. All three of us, this includes our dog, were very happy and we plan on returning next year. We fell in love with the lake, the neighbors, and the entire state of New Hampshire. The only very minor problem was when we arrived it was cold and there was no dry firewood to be found locally for the woodstove. So the first night we did what we could to stay warm and then worked it out the next day.
Thank you for a wonderful experience right down to the row boat. -

Enfield, CtWe had a great week at this lovely cottage.

The cottage was perfect. The stove was dated but worked very well. Everything was very clean. The dock was great. My family got up every morning and went out on the boat fishing. The lake is absolutely beatiful, hard to believe we only saw about a quarter of it on the baot. Grocery shopping about 20 minutes away in center harbor but Skelly's just down the the street had almost everything you needed including fishin licenses.

Andover, MAThis property is a keeper

This was the first time we rented this property and we were not disappointed. The property is well maintained and has been recently updated. It was very quiet the week we were there; the weather was fabulous and the water inviting. One of the reasons we chose this property was so that we could bring our 13 year old golden retriever with us to enjoy - and enjoy she did!!! Once she got into the water she forgot that she has bad hips and swam until her hearts content. The rooms were ample in size and we had plenty of room to "spread out". I would definitely recommend this property and we intend to return year after year.

Manchester, NHEnjoyed cozy updated cottage with wonderful lake view and great
Left on 07/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The service was good! The home was cozy and updated to a cabin which we loved. Great views of lake throughout home. Great breezes. The best is that it is right on water and mostly level ground; gentle slope. You can walk right into the water on little pebbles, not a mushy bottom. Location is great for activities in Wolfeboro and Meredith, and Weirs if you want to drive a little farther. It is 2 houses down from a little marina, which ads neglect to say but it doesn't matter as the water is still clean and it is very very quiet. It is nice to be able to see boats come and go. It is a well stocked home also. You do need do bring linens, but we rented them and clean linens and towels were delivered! If you are fussy and want big luxury and all fancy stuff this isn't a cottage for you. If you are down to earth and love water and a cabin in the woods feel, this is the place for you!

Nice house, dock was excellent, no issues with the nearby marina. Bed mattress left something to be desired. Could improve the beach area by adding a little sand. Saw a few loons, and the nearby Loon conservation center is worth a look. The Woodshed and Canoe are recommended places to eat.

Salem, NHPeaceful cottage on the lake!
Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We stayed for a week at the end of June and have a very pleasant stay. Cottage is really cute and right on the lake. Screened in porch is really nice for all times of day. Neighborhood was quite and secluded. Our 2 dogs had a great time too! The only thing we would have liked is an air conditioner as it did get hot.

Preferred Rentals was great. No problems with them, the cottage or the location. The cottage was very clean and the renovations and upgrades the owners have made really make this a great vacation rental. We had a great restful weekend and the fact that this property is pet friendly made all the difference in the world to us as we always travel with our 2 small dogs. If you didn't know this was a pet friendly property you would never be able to tell!! Everthing was so clean. We will be back!!

Overall very pleased with property. Very clean, comfortable and more updated than expected. The screened in porch, big front yard, and proximity to the lake would make us consider renting this property again. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient too.

North Attleboro, MAA step up from camping, sort of...

One of the last rustic (and pet friendly) lakefront cabins left in Winnepesaukee- which will probably soon be toppled and replaced by a large home much like its neighbors. Nice location, but the amenities and cleanliness need an upgrade. Just because a rental is pet-friendly doesn't mean I want to see residuals of previous pets who stayed. After all, we pay an extra $75 cleaning fee for having a pet with us - what exactly does that cover? Apparently not simple vacuuming. In terms of cleanliness, I had to thoroughly scrub the black mold and mildew from the shower curtain before I would step foot inside the shower. Other minuses, the living room furniture reminded me of a frat house front porch and was just as uncomfortable. On the plus side, the cabin had a new HD tv with cable, but it would be nice if the owner would spring for wireless too - it is 2011 afterall. On the plus side, the lake view is beautiful, screen porch and dock are nice, and fire pit and gas grill were great in the evenings. This property is small, but sufficient - I just wish the owners kept pace with maintenance and upgrades a little more- it's clear that the property is vintage.

I loved the charm of the house and lake winni!I did not like the attitude of the woman at preferred rentals whe I called to tell her that there was a lot of trash because the fridge did not stay cold so items froze and then defrosted. Both freezer and fridge.Preferred Rentals need to realize the people that leave when thier week is up still could come back so they should not stop thier customer service! They didn't seem to care.

Danbury, CTGreat Location & House
Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Our rental experience was great! The house was very cute and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The property was very nice and well maintained. The dock was an added bonus so we brought our boat - so convenient to pack lunch, walk out the back door and head out on the water every day! The folks at the Marina, which is a "few doors down" from the house, were super nice and accommodating.
A washer & dryer would have been nice but we certainly managed just fine without it. The only "con" would be that we seemed to have an ant infestation mid-week (made worst by opening windows?) and the water was a little funky. But all in all we would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone. -

This is the perfect cottage for those that want a serene setting-watching the Loons and other wildlife, boating activity and gorgeous views. We vacationed after the summer season so did not rent for the water activity-except for the views. We were expecting to have use of the paddle boat, but that was not there which was disappointing. The house is very well equipped and clean. Lovely area to walk or bike. We enjoyed the many antique stores and many lovely shops. The restaurants were wonderful.

MAClean pet-friendly home
Left on 08/12/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The house was very clean and pretty. The bathroom was just remodeled and is very nice. The screened in porch was our favorite as we enjoyed our meals overlooking the lake from here. The yard was large in the front and good size in the back. It was a nice place to walk the dog through some side streets as well.
The location on the lake is on a quiet cove and the swimming access from the beach was nice and sandy for the kids and the dog. It is next to a marina, however, so we had some concerns about gas spills from boats filling up and us swimming as it was two doors down from the house. We noticed some gas smells in the water once or twice. The tv and sound system definatley need updating but overall we would recommend this home to families.
Thanks, -
Bob
