Located right in-town Somesville just up the street from the town landing access, Lilac Hill will delight you with it's incredible interior. Spacious and bright, the home is elegantly appointed with granite counter tops in the kitchen, all appliances, and a family room with flat screen tv and gas fireplace, as well as a formal living room with an additional flat screen tv and fireplace. The dining room has seating for 12, a wine fridge, and a wet bar.

We stayed here in July 2012 for our first vacation to MDI. We were 2 families - 4 adults and 5 children. The house was renovated with an addition put on and the workmanship was beautiful. It had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen, to the family room with tv/dvd, dining room that could seat us all, to the bedrooms and bathrooms that were the perfect size for our group. The location was very convenient to acadia and Bar Harbor. We took advantage of the dock and kayaks down and across the street from the house. The one disadvantage was the house's location on the very busy main road. All vehicles including 18-wheelers must pass this house in order to get to the rest of MDI. We couldn't keep the windows open because of the noise and the trucks started early in the morning. I would have rated the house excellent except for the road and the noise.
