Blueberries and lush green ferns are gifts for deer and guests alike at Deer Crossing in Somesville. Just a half mile from the ocean at Somesville Landing in one direction, and half a mile to fresh water swimming and kayaking at Somes Pond in the other, this is a perfect location for your vacation.

Deer Crossing boasts delightful sunlight from morning to night and the screened-in porch allows full-time outside comfort any time of day.

From the drive, enter a small mudroom for shoes-off. Deer Crossing's kitchen is well-appointed and has a pass-through to a lovely dining room. Through the dining room, access the porch for enjoyable... dining and entertaining. Off of the kitchen is a half bathroom. Follow through the hallway into a cathedral ceilinged living room where a generous stone fireplace is the centerpiece among folksy art pieces, hand-woven rugs, perfect lighting and coziness to savor. Off the dining room is a short hallway between the dining room and living room that houses a laundry closet.

From the living room, enter a cheerful foyer area that has a separate front entrance as well as a door to the terrace. In this wing are two bedrooms with twins, and a full bathroom with tub/shower.

From the kitchen, upstairs is the master suite; an open loft bedroom with a queen bed, large wall closets, a work area with desk, and a private bathroom with tub and shower.

Deer Crossing's slate terrace features Adirondack chairs and patio seats as well as the charcoal grill. Sunset views plus the crossing of deer will delight everyone. Paths from the house make blueberry picking simple!
