Los Angeles, Californiaa wee tiny but quaint and antique room upstairs at an lovely inn
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Ok look the room is very small. Like there is a bed and enough room to walk around it. Perfectly nice little bathroom and the shower is separate, which can be nice in such close quarters. ( I think you know what I mean )
The bed is soft, like a giant fluff pillow and very squeeky. If you need lower back support, if you need a firm mattress for your back, this could be a problem. For me, it was awesome. Why?
Since you asked, it's because I had slept on my daughter living room floor for two nights prior. (neck just cringed think about sleeping on that floor)This bed is soft, like a giant fluff pillow and very squeeky. Um, if you ...um ..."move around " a bit in the late hours so to speak, the bed will squeek squeek squeek, until you are um, "finished" moving for the evening.
We didn't know if there were any other quests next door. So we um...tried not to move about so much it would squeek so much as to disturn anyone. Which was kind of difficult to be so nija like as to not be a squeeking the night away. Ok this place is very very cool and authentic. It what we call, in my area of Los angeles., "O.G." meaning original gangsta ...meaning its "old school and cool. They make really good breakfasts. They are real folks. The women running the cafe were there late when we rolled in and thankfully. Because I think the dear owner is dyslexic...or is it me? And we didn't ahve the combo on the digital lock right. But these ladies rescued us and got us in to the Inn. Ok it's right next to the road, but like, no noise at night except for the bed was squeeking for a bit before we fell asleep. Because no one is driving around up there late at night! It's at the entrance to Ranier. It's not on like on an interstate, so don't worry about that.
The inn has I think, three rooms. We stayed in the ultra tiny room. It is a great deal!
I reccomend the pancakes. For like a small group of people. In other words one regular order is enough for two people unless you are like, one of those olympic athletes that eats 6000 calories per meal.
All in all, I mean, look the syrup is sweet, the place is like made out of logs or something, and it was a squeek inspired sleep. So I give it a hearty thumbs up.
Oh yeah and the home baked bread is awesome! Also they have pie but we didn't git to eat it this trip!
But I bet the pie is great based on the bread and pancakes. Also they have wine. And dinner, but we werent there for dinner.Response from Phil Freeman and Catharine Gallagher - 09/26/2012

This review is actually for Jenny's Sleeping Room in the Copper Creek Inn, not our Sky and Snow cabins.

MelbourneVery small cabin, but lovely location.
Left on 06/16/2012 for a stay in September 2011
The Mt Rainier area charges a premium for accommodation and the Snow Cabin we stayed in was no different. It is worth staying close to the mountain however.
The cabin was well equipped with a comfortable bed and effective heating on a very cold night; their photos do represent just how cosy (small!) the room is. Unfortunately its a long-ish walk to the bathroom. Its not too clear where to park your car but doesn't matter too much I suspect. We had enough equipment in our kitchenette to prepare our own dinner.
The surrounding forest is delightful and it was very cosy to watch the rain come down from our little cabin.
Never saw a single staff person - its self check in, and prepaid so self check out too. (Didn't need any assistance however, and I believe we were advised to see the staff in the main hotel if we had any problems.)Response from Phil Freeman and Catharine Gallagher - 06/20/2012

Thank you for you nice comments. Sky and Snow bathrooms are private to your cabin, not a "shared bathroom down the hall" The bathrooms are detached because the cabins are within 100' of Copper Creek,..30 to 40 steps. There is a fire pit and picnic table at the creek for your use. We believe $95/night is an excellent price for a cabin located well off the road at the forests edge providing quiet relaxation and a good nights sleep with the spring Air mattresses, feather pillows and down comforters. All our cabins are self check in/check out to provide maximum privacy for our guests. Guests are welcome to ask for information at Copper Creek Inn or call us on the numbers provided in their confirmations.Thank you again for staying with us.
