CarmelColorful decorated nice house
Left on 08/07/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Lots of room and well stocked and convenient. Back yard was not useful to rest in in the heat. No lawn, just a Zen maze, although there is a picnic table. Main bedroom's bed is a double and would have preferred a queen. Good house for family of children.

Thank you both for your reply. Our healing home is designed with fung shei colors to bring in more energies of Mount Shasta. The walking labrynith in the backyard is part of the garden as the ground holds water during snow melt off, thus by design we had the creation done in the backyard. The heat can be warmer when outside. Zen Garden in the front yard for viewing Mount Shasta Mountain year round. Thank you Jackie

Wonderful Home- perfect for our stay
Left on 07/29/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We enjoy our weekly stay at this peaceful well equiped home. We loved our kitchen to do some cooking. The house was clean and spacious. Two fully working bathrooms were very helpful in the morning. We enjoyed the back yard for morning meditations and evening dinners in the view of Mt Shasta.. This home surpassed our expectations. We have already may another reservation.

Santa RosaGreat home for great value!!!
Left on 07/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My family of 9 all stayed two nights while we were in town for a family wedding. House was spacious and had all the amenities and needs for our family and stay. Great location close walked to town, quiet street. Clean and comfortable! Backyard was great for our BBQ dinner, just one small issue after dark there was no outside light and it was a little rough for the older folks to navigate through the rock zen garden, but we did find plenty of candles inside for a nice ambiance! All in all great house enjoyed our stay and would defiantly stay again!

Thank you for your kind response. Our lighting suggestion has been updated with small lights that were replaced due to the last winter months. We have put in small lights that line the inside of the gazebo on the back deck. Our current onsite repair man has been assisting our vacation home to be safe and a fun place to visit. The walking labrynith was designed by T. Corsini a licensed contractor. Whom suggested improving the yard for safety as the yard had erroded over 50 years and the ground needed to be raised 3 feet to be level with the existing foundation. We appreciate your comments and suggestions. Jackie, Owner Heart of Shasta 650-952-5362

bend, oregonsomewhat convenient location, some problems
Left on 02/12/2011 for a stay in February 2011
somewhat close to downtown. shower in one bathroom broke (or was already broken) with first use, and maintenance man never responded to come fix it. no shampoo provided, and no soap in showers except partial bars left over from last tenants. no microwave, but a huge toaster oven/convection oven combo (that took up 1/3 of the kitchen table) and a regular toaster--would rather have a microwave instead of the duplication of toasters. no coffee as advertised, and no sugar provided. one full bath, but second "full" bath was a toilet in a separate room adjacent to the laundry room, where a laundry sink and stall shower was located (not that nice). toilet in unfinished basement--not really convenient to use. did not use the sauna. small wood stove, but no kindling or newspaper to start it. heat hard to adjust--either cold or broiling hot. one bedroom downstairs for couple to use (next to bath), and second bedroom with day bed. upstairs: 3 bedrooms, but have to walk through one to get to the second one--odd layout. quiet street, even though next to school. train noise present. beautiful view of mt. shasta from in front of the house and from one of the upstairs bedrooms. rented with another couple; lots of space for 4 and reasonable price. christmas decorations still up in early february. would recommend with reservations.
