Located on the south coast of the “Big Island” of Hawaii, Sea Mountain sits halfway between Hilo and Kailua-Kona, and extends from the black sand beach at Punalu’u and the fishing cove at Ninole to the rain forests of Mauna Loa. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen, furnished, private lanai that provides expansive views of the shoreline and ocean, spectacular sunsets and the luxurious tropical gardens. This is a long way from everything. That's great if that's what you want and not so great if you want something in downtown Kona or Hilo. Enjoy the beach just down the hill and the volcano "around the corner."

From the time I checked in was pleasant and easy. The room was just what we were looking for. The view the ammenities and accomidations. However there was an ant problem that the front desk was aware of. I was not too happy that I felt like a little prisoner in my own condo by ants. They should have and exterminator come in and clean up the place. Also there was a man that came to the condo while we were in it and ask to come in and take measurements because they were planning on a renovation soon. I wasn't happy about that, not on my time. The check in and check out time are a little too short. Check in at 3:00pm and check out at 10:00 am. No good if you ask me! Overall we tried to make the best of our stay. We already had made payment and wasn't looking to make this situation wreck our weekend.

Thank you for pointing out these issues to us. I don't blame you for being upset. We spend over 2 months/year in Hawaii and there will be bugs from time to time. When we've contacted the front desk, we've gotten immediate service. Having someone come it to measure seems unreasonable as well as the units are all virtually the same size and they should wait for a vacant unit. I'm sorry that the check-in and check-out times were frustrating for you. It takes time to organize the maid service. Your comments have been passed on to corporate and these are taken seriously. You'll note our reviews average 4.7 out of 5 at our resorts as a whole so do give us a try both at Sea Mountain or one of the other ones and I'm confident you'll have a better experience.

The perfect place to get away from it all. Located right above the island beautiful black sands beach. Enjoy the turtles well they relax on the sand. The condo was prefect for me and my family. Thanks to rick for accommodating us on short notice. The checkin process went smoothly. I would highly recommend stay at the Sea Mountain. This condo was awesome! Thanks again rick!
