Our Big Island, Hawaii vacation rental houses have all the facilities needed. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, family time, or experiencing volcano adventures, enjoy all the comforts of home. Of course, all of our rentals are on their own private properties, so you don't have to share a house with any other guests.

Boy and Debra’s Place is a private cottage located in one of the prettiest parts of Volcano Village. This one bedroom cottage is perfect for honeymooners, a special anniversary, or as a writer or artist's retreat.

Architect-designed, this unique retreat is nestled in an ohia tree and hapu’u fern forest... where only the ali’i (royalty) were allowed in ancient times. Refresh your spirit with the sounds of native honeycreepers and the whisper of the high elevation breeze through the trees.

Enjoy natural beauty and incredible privacy. Step out your door and into a quiet time and place. Stroll down the canopied lanes located less than a half-mile from the heart of the village or take in some of the many sights of the island easily accessible from here.

We are just five minutes from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. Hike across the floor of Kilauea-Iki crater or to Halema'u ma'u, home of the fire goddess Pele, or take a night hike to see the active lava flows.

Your Volcano Village location puts you 40 minutes from Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, where you may see turtles nesting and swimming, one and a half hours from from the City of Refuge, and only 40 minutes from historic and beautiful downtown Hilo with restaurants, shops, museums and nearby snorkeling beaches.

Amenities in the village include several diverse restaurants, 2 grocery stores, 2 gas stations, launderette, gift shops, art galleries, post office, a nearby local winery, 18-hole golf course and "da" best Sunday morning farmer's market.

Owners Boy and Debra live next door and are either quietly invisible or available to share their love and knowledge of the island. Boy, sometime actor, sometime small-event chef, was born and raised in the islands. Who knows, the sounds of the ukulele you hear just might be Boy practicing! Debra is an artist and yoga instuctor. You will see some of her paintings in the cottage.

Come and share the magic of this land where the mornings are usually bright and sunny, the evenings cool and misty, and the colorful native Hawaiian birds sing all day long.

Cost:

$120.00/Night double occupancy; One night deposit required to hold reservation. All reservations have a 2 night minimum stay.

30+days prior to arrival date will receive a refund less a 15% cancellation fee. 15-29 days prior to arrival date will receive a 50% refund. 7-14 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 25% refund. Cancellations received less than one week to arrival date will forfeit payment.

There's a $15 booking fee. A $30 cleaning fee for 1 night stays, otherwise no cleaning fee.

There are beautiful sunny, warm sandy beaches in Hilo, only 20 minutes away by car. And the other direction you'll find the exciting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, also only 20 minutes away! I can help you with all the places of interest, as my wife and I live downstairs. This tranquil setting is located in Eden Roc Estates, Mountain View, between Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Hilo, approximately 20 minutes in each direction.

  A wonderful hide-away in the rain forest...green, lush and beautiful. Very quiet. It is decorated nicely and the most well appointed place we have ever stayed. The bed is comfortable and the offering for breakfast was tasty. Our only reservation was that we never saw the owners. They weren't there when we arrived nor did they ever stop by to welcome us. And this cabin is right behind their home. We had to call the management company to find out that we could just walk into the cabin.

  This was a nice cosy Cottage for two. It had everything and more that you would need while on a vacation in Hawaii trying to explore the Volcano National Park. Location was pretty much 5 mins from the park entrance so perfect if you are planning to explore the park on your own.

  We loved our time at R&Ds; place. It was exactly as advertised, except that the oven didnt work. Everything else was splendid, especially the hot tub we enjoyed each evening, as it does get chilly up there...~50s at night. Ron and Debra were very pleasant and helpful in sorting out what to do while there. The budda-nature of the grounds gave it a very peaceful feeling. Down a long tree covered lane its a bit tricky to find, but very much worth it. We would stay there again.

  Clean bungalow right next to the Volcano. Hard to get to, so make sure you go during the day. Extremely cold and secluded. Make sure you bring food to the house and warm clothing. House has a heating blanket, fire, and heat spacers. Overall, very nice!
