Hat's Barn has a traditional farmhouse look with a wealth of beams and timbers. There is a double room upstairs and a twin room approached by a second staircase. There is also a downstairs double with wet room en suite, and a separate bathroom. We have had wheelchair users staying in Hat's and using the downstairs bedroom. The barn is comfortably and stylishly furnished and has all the facilities you need, including dish-washer, wifi, wood-burner, central heating. It has a sitting out place in the front for eating al fresco or enjoying the sun, and there is use of a large shared garden across the lane with BBQ and sitting area. Hat's Barn is... on the edge of Mullion village - a 5 minute walk to shops, cafes, pubs etc but bordering fields and close to the spectacular coastal path. It takes 10 minutes to walk down the valley to Polurrian Cove (no vehicular access), and there are sandy, rocky coves every mile or so all round the Lizard peninsula - at least 8 within 10 minutes driving. There are also plenty of activities - walking, cycling, riding, boat trips - and visits to country gardens (Lost Gardens of Helligan, Trebah, Glendurgan and many more) as well as the Eden Project, Minnack theatre, Flambards Leisure Park, Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Goonhilly Earth Station, Poldark Mine, Lands End, St Michael's Mount and many other places of interest. You'll love Cornwall - and we think Hat's will touch your heart too. Our guests come over and over again.Read more

We had a lovely time at Hat's Barn. We have 2 kids aged 9 and 10 and a dog and there are loads of fun things to do even in winter and autumn around here. We love body boarding, collecting shells, cliff walks, pasties/cream teas, maritime museum, fish and chips, lighthouses, St Michael's Mount, St Ives, Mousehole, Cadgwith crab sandwiches and loads more. The barn is beautiful and so cosy to come back to. Everything so nicely done and lots of care taken over the details. Sleep peacefully. Definitely recommend.
