Birdsong Cottage is perched atop a 200-foot cliff and offers a breath-taking panorama of sunsets over the Tasman Sea, Oaia Island seal sanctuary, beach, forests, and links golf course.
40 minutes west of Auckland, 1 hour from airport
Suitable for 1-4 adults (one bedroom with queen bed and one with two bunk beds.)

Muriwai Beach is located at the south end of Muriwai Regional Park, which includes 50 km of unspoiled beach, dunes, national temperate rain forest and Woodhill Forest.
Birdsong Cottage has beach access via 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk on bush trails down the cliff.
Muriwai is home to towering cliffs, Maori Bay and the gannet colony, swimming, extreme fishing, tennis, golf, bush walks, hang gliding, café, and marked trails through the temperate rain forest. Local horse hire for riding along the beach and dunes. Only Fools and Horses swimming pool is also within a short walk.
Depart the quaint community of Muriwai Beach through a valley of picturesque, rolling sheep pastures for a half-hour drive to numerous wineries of the Kumeu region, or to nearby Waitakere Ranges Regional Park.

All rates and fees below are based on New Zealand dollars.
$180 per night, for use of 2nd Br with 2 bunk beds (3-4 adults total).
Stay for 6 days, get 1 free. Linen and towels can be supplied for a $30 charge.
1-night rentals may be accepted, but will incur a $220 rental fee ($240 for 3-4 adutls), plus cleaning fee.
Minimum 3-night stay for long weekends.
From Dec. 23rd to Jan 5th, pay $200 per night for 1-2 adults, $220 per night for 3-4 adults (still stay 6, get 1 free).
