Fox River Cottages have a 3 1/2 star rating by Canada Select and are located on a secluded waterfront property overlooking the Murray Islands.
Weekly rentals only during high season, Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday, from June 30th to August 31st.
The cottages are fully equiped with everything you will need for an enjoyable vacation. You can dig for clams on a sandy river beach in front of the cottage and it is a great area for canoeing and kayaking. There are several great beaches nearby and we are close to several top quality golf courses, just mile from Rails to Trails and minutes from the picturesque fishing village...Read more

We first stayed at Fox River in 2009 just as an over-nighter, and as we were leaving the next day, Belinda said "See you again!" and we were counting down the days until we could go back!
We were so excited about this trip this year, and we booked up for two nights at the very start of the season. The cottage is wonderful, the area is lovely, the people are gracious and friendly, it really is heaven on earth.
Even the girl at the local shop said "Welcome back".
Everything you need is there, even things you wouldn't expect in a holiday rental. There are canoes, laundry facilities, and a fabulous BBQ. You could literally turn up with just the clothes you stand in and spend a week there, without running out of things to keep you occupied. There are plenty of places to walk, hike or row out to, and lots of wildlife to see.
This is one of those places everyone should go to once in their lives, however, the very fact that it is not on the "Tourist trail" is part of the charm. -

We'd come here several times a year if it were closer to Florida! We love "our" cottage and the Machons are the best hosts you could ask for. Comfortable cottage, beautiful setting, great hospitality. Feels like our second home.

We couldn't have stayed at a nicer place. The location is beautiful. Belinda and Glen are the nicest of hosts. The cottages are sparkling clean. We will be coming back for our 5th year with them.

Staying at Fox River Cottages is always a delight-Glen and Belinda do everything in their power to make us feel at home and their welcome is something special to anticipate. The cottages have a sense of privacy and quiet that we rarely feel elsewhere and each has a prized view of mowed field and lawn, red soil and rock, the tidal Fox River, a heron rookery, and islands beyond the river mouth. Having stayed in each cottage over the years we know that our accommodations will be spick and span, furnished to the nth degree, and with attractive touches inside and outdoors. This was my sixth trip to Fox River Cottages & my wife's third. We never tire of the experience. The cottages are wonderful & you are always made to feel welcome. Its a great part of PEI with lots to do & see. Whether you head out for the day or just stay back at the cottage its simply a great experience.

I stayed in cottage # 2 in 2008 & 2009, and coming back in august 2011, again staying in cottage # 2. The view is incredible and the cottages & property are very well maintained. I traveled alone so saftey is very important to me. If anyone is planning on staying in the Eastern part of the Island, I would highly recommend the Fox River Cottages. Belinda & Glen are wonderful hosts.

We try to come every year for a week or two of relaxation in a beautiful and private spot that is still not far from activities we like. The Machons provide us with suggestions and attentiveness with a light touch. We canoe and read and sightsee and, every year, we can't wait to get back!
