Description from the owner
The house (100 sq.m) is situated at Ktima Lino (Paraga area, 5 minutes drive to the town center), in a small complex. It is surrounded by a wonderful garden with palm trees and it has a large communal swimming pool.
The house’s veranda has a magnificent sea view, overlooking three beaches (Paraga, Agia Anna and Platy Gialos). The house faces the south and so it is protected from the famous Mykonos wind. The distance from Paraga beach is 5 minutes by car. The house is very near the ring-road which leads either to the port or the airport and the other beaches.
There are 3 bedrooms; 2 with en-suite bathrooms, and 1 small room with...Read more

ATHENSI had a fabulous time
Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in August 2012
I stayed at Summer Breeze House for 10 days last summer from 10/8-20/8/2012. We enjoyed our holidays tremendously and especially our stay at Catherine's house which offers everything one needs for a relaxing vacation. We loved the really big and extremely clean pool, the unobstructed sea view from the veranda, the homely decoration of the house and, most of all, the help and advice of our host about what to see and do. She provided us with maps of the area, she gave us useful telephone numbers and also the use of her landline phone for local calls.
If you want to spend your vacation in a 'home away from home' and make the most of your holidays, then Summer Breeze House is the place for you -

Hong Kong, ChinaGreat host, great views, but house a bit small for 5
Left on 09/25/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Catherine is a great host -- picked us up from the ferry, and even gave us a list of numbers to call for taxis plus a simplified map for guiding taxis. The property is very near Paranga beach, which is a big plus. However, it is a little far from city center, and you must taxi your way around as there is not much reliable public transport (~Eur10 one way). The property is quite secluded, such that even taxis get lost too. It is also just 5 minutes away from the Mykonos airport. Beautiful views of the sea, impressive swimming pool, but still a tad too cold for use in May.
The house is not without problems though. First, it is too small for 5, let alone 6. One of us had a 30 inch suitcase, and can hardly get it through the ground floor bedroom door. The other room on the ground floor with the bunk bed is really just large enough for the bed plus a small bedside table. The upstairs room with a double-bed is normal sized. The living room is small, and if all 5 of us decided to sit we'd be pretty cramped. If we all wanted to eat together we can only be at the outdoor table. Otherwise, someone has to eat on the sofa while the rest eat at the dining table.
Second, the decoration is cozy and homely, but perhaps a bit too homely and a bit dated.
Third, two of us had sensitive skin, and had some trouble with the bedding. Not sure if it's because of the washing powder used.
Not exactly the most outstanding place we stayed, especially compared to the property we rented in Santorini for roughly the same price. Really hate to say this as Catherine is a great host, but I'm sure there are better rentals!Response from Georgios Papadofragkakis - 01/22/2013
Owner
Hi Casey,
I would like to thank you for your very kind words about me. I would also like to take this opportunity to clarify some points you made regarding your stay.
The house and its location are described in detail and shown in maps, both in this listing and in the written directions I give to all guests prior to their arrival. The house is within a complex of ten other villas, it is barely 3 minutes away from a large & well known super market, and the road leading to it is full of more villas. I don't think it can be characterized as secluded or hard to find. As for your taxi driver getting lost, are you sure he/she was given the right instructions? Mykonos is a small island and taxi drivers here know how to get around well.
You mention that the pool was cold when you came in May, but let me point out that unfortunately May temperatures do not always favour pool swimming in Greece.
Concerning decoration, the house is photographed in every detail and its decoration and dimensions are depicted in every way in this listing.
It is true that the indoor living room is not very big, but as this is a summer holiday house, people eat, relax and spend most of the day outside in the very spacious veranda (where the larger dinner table is located), as well as the big garden and the large swimming pool. I believe that these very spacious areas (all overlooking the sea) more than compensate for the smaller living room.
Regarding the bedding, I would have gladly used special washing powder for very sensitive skins, if you had mentioned your particular skin sensitivities at any point prior or during your stay.
Thank you and best wishes!

Lyon, FranceDétente, vue magnifique et maison très agréable
Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Manama, BahrainBeautiful villa in Mykonos
Left on 05/09/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed in this charming villa over spring break, and had a wonderful time! What really made our stay wonderful was the great customer service we got, even before we arrived Catherine was very helpful with information on the ferry, even arranging a rental car for us. While we were there it was a bit chilly and we needed more blankets, we asked for them and they were there within an hour. Catherine did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. The location was good, not far from town but you will definitely need a rental car to get around the island. Beautiful views of the sea, and a nice swimming pool (although it was far too cold in april to use). It was perfect for my family vacation!

Groningen, Netherlands10 days in Greek heaven!!
Left on 03/01/2012 for a stay in August 2011
My stay was absolutely awesome!
I was looking for a nice place to retreat after having quite a hectic year at work. The 10 days I spent with my girlfriend and another couple were exactly what I needed, a quiet place in the Greek sun but not that far from a city center where we could find all the taverns and entertainment we needed. The house was perfectly maintained, Georgios and his family were incredibly helpful and pointed us in all the right directions.
Thanks for everything, by the time I left Mykonos I was full of energy for the year to come! I hope to see you soon again Georgios and Katerina! -

Athens, GreeceRelaxing and comfortable stay in Mykonos!
Left on 12/17/2011 for a stay in August 2010
All Greek elements of sea, sun and hospitality have been absolutely depicted in our stay in your house.
The house offers fantastic views of the site and holds the island's traditional architecture combined with modern facilities (great pool, Internet access, TV and many more). It is roomy, comfortable and clean, providing a relaxing (still remember the sun beds in the balcony!) and luxury experience. In terms of location, it is accessible by public transportation and taxis(own-vehicle is also recommended), restaurants and great beaches can easily be accessed!
Ideal for romantic couple stay, great for families and groups of friends!
Hope to visit again soon!
Thank you!

London, UKClassy Mykonos experience
Left on 12/13/2011 for a stay in July 2003
The assumption in visiting Mykonos is that it is a place for partying. Although this is at large true, the island has a lot more to offer to potential visitors and the house is an excellent example of this.
It is very comfortable, clean and benefits from an amazing pool. The location ensures superior view, relaxing stay and access to Paraga beach which is one of the most beautiful in the island. Public transportation and taxi services are available but, especially during peak season, having your own vehicle is advised.
Overall, highly recommended for families, groups of friends or couples. -

I stayed in the house for 10 days in august 2010 and I enjoyed it very much.
The house is lovely, the view breathtaking, there are works of art everywhere created by the owner, the swimming pool is very big and very clean and the palm tree garden makes one feel like being in the tropics.
I would definitely recommend it for a fantastic holiday.

This is the true meaning of a doll's house!...
Big veranda overlooking the pool, the sea beyond and two more islands.
Peace and quite when you need it, but also very convenient for a drive downtown or going to the airport. Great for kids due to the big garden which surrounds the property. The owners are extremely friendly and they helped us create an itinerary for things to do which made our holiday really marvelous.
We will definitely repeat this very soon.
