Left on 11/20/2012 for a stay in October 2012
The location of this Condo was excellent, not only for the activities within walking distance but for the view from the room. Everything was very clean and well maintained which made the stay very comfortable. If time permits, I will definately make plans to stay again.

Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Overall, we enjoyed our stay the location was great, view was awesome and the condo was relatively clean. Somethings need to be updated and the kitchen could use a few more supplies. It really was more for warming up or bringing food it, not to actually cook in. For the price, it was great!
Response from Taft & Glenda Mills - 09/20/2012
Owner
We just went to the condo this past weekend in response to this review and were horrified to find how much had disappeared from the condo over the summer that had not been reported by the housekeeping staff and therefore had not been replaced. It had only the basic items that all the other condos in this resort have and we pride ourselves on offering our guests more than everyone else. Needless to say this has been rectified. The kitchen is now fully equipped again with not only dishes, glasses, cups, pots and pans and utensils but pyrex bakeware & bowls, muffin tins, pie pan, loaf pan, cookie sheets, salad bowl & tongs, a colandar, pizza pan, wine glasses, kids plates, cups & utensils and more. We replaced the worn out non-stick frying pan with not one, but 3 new frying pans of various sizes. We replaced all the utensils & glasses. We stocked it with everything we could think of. Of course it already had a blender, toaster, coffee maker and full sized appliances (fridge, stove & microwave). All of the beach chairs and the umbrella were also replaced within the last month (other condos in this resort don't have these at all). The condo is in tip top shape again! Housekeeping has new marching orders!

The unit was located in the heart of downtown. Great area if you have teenagers that want to hang out on the strip. It was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the beach chairs and cooler. The Wi-Fi code was almost impossible to get out of the office staff (Thank God, you don't have to deal with them!) Glenda, the property owner, was very prompt at returning calls and text. Overall great quick weekend get a way.

The kids[8,10,12] loved the ocean with their boogie boards, the pools and the Murphy Bed. My 40 y.o. dgt. thought tile floors would be better than the carpet for cleanliness. I was happy not to have to cross a road!! We rode the 20 story ferris wheel-fun! The board-walk was great!

Left on 05/20/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This small getaway was an enjoyable spot. Child had a blast in the indoor pools as it was March and a bit cool. Lots of Canadians! Fun things to do at Boardwalk, Skywheel, etc.. Very clean unit and comfortable bed. Great beach views. Bar across street loud in evening. Some kind of local apts.? adjacent provided some interesting people watching-might have been spillovers from the bar across the street. Front desk folks pleasant. Not much of a kitchen but we didn't eat in much. Weather was great!

Owner
Thank you for your review and we are glad to hear you made great use of the indoor pools. Given the uncertainty of the weather it makes this resort a good choice year round!
We wanted to add some further details about the kitchen for future guests who may not have checked out the pictures of it yet. It has granite countertops, a full sized fridge, a full sized stove & microwave, a double sink, a coffee maker, toaster, blender, pots & pans, plates, cups, glasses, utensils and a few other items. -

Service was excellent, my endless questions prior to arrival were answered promptly by owners.location: quiet end of complex, keyless door wonderful.I think Kitchen was too sparsely furnished for people who cook.
I think Brookgreen Gardens is a must see, tickets are 6 days passes, wish we had taken advantage of earlier in stay, wonderful oasis, even 6 year old liked the sculpture garden and the fountains. -

We had the most fabulous time at this condo! From the keyless entry to the view from the balcony - everything was perfect! The beds were comfy, the water hot and everything we needed was there. Great time of year to go - no crowds, easy parking, everything was still open and the weather was fabulous! Thanks for allowing us to rent your little piece of heaven!!

Davidson, NCNice condo in great location
Left on 07/18/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We enjoyed sitting on the couch that the owners brag about and watching Dvds while looking out the living room window to a great view of the beach and ocean. The small adds such as beach umbrella and toaster were nice. It is right between the 14th St Pier and the SkyWheel with the downtown activities right there. The only downside is the street noise at night but the 9th floor is not too bad. Actually the hotels are not quite as dense there as just to the north because the boardwalk shops are on the beachfront, so the beach is enjoyable.

Radford, VAGreat location!
Left on 05/24/2011 for a stay in October 2010
We stayed at this condo in October 2010. The weather was still very nice and we were able to enjoy the beach, but unable to frolic in the ocean, as the water had turned cold. The location was wonderful and the condo was very clean. However, one of the main indoor pool was not heated and we had to complain numerous times before they finally turned the heat on. The lazy river was great and my 5 year old had a great time playing in it.

MIssissauga, Ontario, CanadaDowntown Myrtle Beach Condo a Very Good Choice
Left on 05/21/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This unit was at the end of the floor, meaning little or no walk by traffic, which was appreciated. The combination lock entrance also very useful. You enter into the bedroom, which featured two beds and a tv. Comfortable. This room is on the street side. The only minor problem was noise from the bar directly across the street. A classic car show was in town and every time a nice car went by the patrons would scream for a tire squeal. Wonderful. This and the drunks made it noisey until about 2 am on a couple of days. Had the bedroom been on the ocean side it wouldn't have been an issue. Still the condo itself works very well. A small gally kitchen and washroom (bring your own toilet paper) are adequate. The living room area had a very comfortable leather couch and murphy bed (we didn't need it). Another tv as well. A small balcony overlooked the beach and condo grounds, which includes an indoor and outdoor pool. Overall a very pleasant condo.

Left on 05/17/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We arrived april 15 and left May 14, 2011. The condo was perfect for my wife and I with access to indoor and outdoor pools and loungers. The salt water pool was refreshing and kept very clean. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The condo was well equiped and well furnished. Bathroom facilities were very adequate with very hot water always available. Parking was convenient with 15 minute loading/unloading spots. Views of the ocean as well as the street were both convenient and welcomed as we could keep an eye in both directions. The condo is located right in the heart of the tourist section of Ocean Blvd. and a new ferris wheel called the "SkyWheel" was being constructed right next to the Condo. An added bonus was the new Boardwalk which passed directly in front of the condo and stretched to Pier 2. A very interesting feature is Pier 14 in front of the hotel where one can dine on early bird specials of prime rib or fresh fish for bargain prices. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely and overlooked the rudeness of the front desk. We rented directly from the owners who were very hospitable.

Left on 10/13/2010 for a stay in October 2010
I have been to Myrtle Beach 11 times in the past 4 yrs. and have stayed at several different places. The Taft's condo is most definitely the nicest one by far! The decor is just beautiful! They have furnished it with style! Also, there are necessities provided for you that most places don't think of...cooler, beach chairs, umbrella. These are a real convenience.
Also, the Taft's were very friendly and always responded in a timely manner. The whole reservation process was easy and fast. We will definitely stay with them again. -

Came to go fishing and this condo was just what we needed. It was spacious and very clean. Beds were soft which is always a plus since I have slept on some very uncomfortable beds. It was great being on the boardwalk, anything we needed was within walking distance. The establishment was great and very friendly and always willing to help. You have to eat at the resturant at the pier.

We stay at the Pavillion twice a year, every year. You cannot beat the location. We barely drive while there. We like the lowrise building which is older and doesn't have all the remodeling as the big building but has a great view. The new patio addition is a big plus.

Just a note to clarify, our ocean front condo is in the tower and not the older lowrise building that has not been remodeled.

This was a great place to stay, perfect for our family of 5. Room was very clean, beautiful view of the ocean, and there was so much to do within walking distance. We parked when we arrived and didn't move our vehicle for 3 days! The murphy bed in the living room was surprisingly comfortable, my husband and I slept great, much better than a sleeper sofa. This place is right on the beautiful new boardwalk in Myrtle Beach, I recommend it highly to anyone, couples, or families with kids!

Atlanta, GAFantastic family vacation with tons to do for everyone! Great c
Left on 05/04/2010 for a stay in March 2010
We had a great family vacation at this resort. The kids went from pool
to pool to the beach and back again. The adults enjoyed frosty drinks
from the pool bar:-)! We walked to the surrounding shops and
restaurants. Then we went to Broadway at the Beach which is literally
less than 5 minutes away where there was even more to do for everyone
(kids, grandparents and parents).
The condo was perfect with an
incredible view of the beach, the pools and pool bar, the ocean and Pier
14. The sunrise is incredible! The full kitchen made things easy with
the kids for breakfast, lunch and left overs from restaurants. The
murphy bed is by far more comfortable than any sleeper sofa and as
comfortable as the other beds which was surprising! The leather recliner
couch was a treat! We stayed here before the leather couch and this is
a huge upgrade that the other units don't have. We also enjoyed having a
DVD player for the kids at night, which wasn't here before.
The
family that owns this condo also added beach chairs, an umbrella and a
cooler which was a huge help so we didn't have to figure out how to
bring all of this stuff, or worse, rent/buy it.
Overall I would
definitely recommend that you stay not only at this resort, but in this
condo if you want the best condo in the resort! They made reserving and
checking in more simple than we could have imagined renting from private
owners and they definitely thought of everything that the other condos
don't have.

Left on 04/29/2010 for a stay in April 2010
This condo was extremely clean, the price was very reasonable, and the
views and location could not be beat. If you have small or teenage
children there is alot to do in walking distance. If you have teens
this is a very good area for them to be, much to do within just a couple
of blocks such as arcades, a sling shot ride across the street, dance
clubs if they are 18 and up (non-alcholic for under 21). The restraunt
at the pier (two minute walk) has the best prime rib sandwich and you
can dine outside or in. The beach bar by the pool had great frozen
drinks. We had a very relaxing stay and our son had a great time.
Parking overall not a problem, but if you are parking late-after
11:00pm, can be a slight walk. -
