The suite had a balcony on the Ocean and the sunrises were amazing. The furnishings in the suite were comfortable but old. The fabrics were faded and the appliances outdated. The price was very reasonable.

Cons:Parking is a challenge. Elevators are slow and not convenient. Getting belongings and groceries to the room is difficult. The front desk will not lend movies to us. The sofa is very old and sinking down. The refrigerator runs constantly. Pros: The view of the Ocean is wonderful. Repair to the leaking kitchen sink was done right away.

My room was wonderful #807. Clean, beautifully furnished, roomy (especially for just one) the view was outstanding!.
This was my first trip to Myrtle Beach and first trip to this property. I must say, after reading many of the reviews, I was a little concerned. I shouldn't have been. This was the best place for my R & R. The staff was wonderful, food at breakfast was great and although the parking garage does leave a little bit to be desired, if you take your time...it works fine.
Front desk staff was wonderful and very helpful. I have no complaints except that I had to finally leave to get back to work and the "real" world. I hit the weather just right (before Hurricane Sandy) and have no complaints about the resort at all.I slept like a rock the whole time and didn't hear any outside noise at all.
If my unit were for sale and I could afford it...I would be there a lot through the year!
My only complaint is about the fee for the chairs on the beach. They must be rented for $30 per day which is excessive for a crappy chair. And...on the 2nd day I rented a chair, I only gave the man $25 and he didn't say anything. Makes me wonder who really gets the money from these. I wish I had known about this I would have taken my own chair. Perhaps that would be one thing the resort could add. Otherwise...want to go back next year! -

Very nice location, but the room was not very clean and had many problems. Wek rented this condo over others because we believed it to be a one bedroom not a studio. While the rooms are separated by a door there is a huge opening in the bedroom which leads to the living room offering little to no privacy. The kitchen was also very small and not well equipped, I felt like I was doing dishes every meal. Overall I was satisfied with the condo but words of advice to others, if you want privacy rent this room by yourself. If you plan on cooking bring knives, plates, and pots & pans. Otherwise a good location, had a great time.

Traveled to Beach Colony with my three young children, ages 2, 5, and 10... And of course the hubby. We loved it so much that we are going back next month!! The resort is in a quiet area, not around all the hassle, noise or aggrevation that is Myrtle Beach! We arrived at 4 and were checked in quickly by a polite front desk clerk who was very friendly and courteous. When we got to our room, after our somewhat "tight" drive through the parking garage, we were very happy to see we lucked up and recieved a great room! The decor was "beachy" but isn't that to be expected?? Clean beds, bathroom with everything you would need to "make yourself at home"! It's a kid friendly place... with tons of activities and fun things for them! There are plenty of pool options, restaurant, bar, arcade, helpful staff, laundry room, Whirl pool, raquet ball, and the list goes on!!! I cannot wait till next month!!!

Beach Colony is located at the north end of Myrtle Beach, which means you are convenient to both Myrtle and North Myrtle areas attractions and shopping. Beach Colony is an older condo but they are well kept, management stays on top of everything. They had repairmen coming in after 7:00 pm to fix a problem in another unit, I know this because I met him the elevator after we returned from dinner. The management seems to everything they can to keep up their standards. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels left. I will definately be staying here again in the future.

The condo was wonderful great view very quite plenty of towels sheets all amenities. The activities, shows, drink an food were all excellent the pool and lazy river were also great a little crowded at times but it's to be expected other wise loved the experience

My two friends and I enjoyed our stay here. The ocean front view was perfect. The condo is laid out nicely. Updates of furniture, kitchen utensils, and mattresses are needed to take this property up to the next level. The elevators were on the Fritz the whole week which, at.times, was very inconvenient. However, overall, the property is in a great location and quite lovely.

We were very satisfied with this unit, hated to leave. We originally had reservations at The Palms Resort and had a terrible 18hours there. Fortunately the management co. took great care of us and was able to accomadate us here at the Beach Colony!
