The Guest Cottages are raised beach homes with parking underneath for convenience. Swim in your choice of several pools, or take a short walk to the oceanfront. Guest Cottages are centrally located in the northern end of Myrtle Beach along shore drive and are close to major attractions, shopping, dining, golf, plus much more. 4 night minimum required. I was very disappointed that the owner of the property thought so little of his paying guests that he left the property in need of a complete cleaning when he vacated the property LATE on Saturday. This lack of courtesy caused my family to wait around for approximately an hour while the staff cleaned the unit. The photos in the advertisements show the units surrounding a swimming pool - false advertising - we overlooked an alley. The unit was to have had DVD players in ALL the rooms - only one in the living area. I was told that property association banned golf carts - WRONG - golf carts were all over this property. I was sent an e-mail on check out procedures while I was in the unit - got to open that e-mail after I had returned home. We were told that the unit was approximately two blocks from the pier.
On a positive note the unit was spacious. It was well laid out. It was comfortable. Would have perferred to have had one bath accessable from main room rather than only the bedrooms.Response from Myrtle Beach Vacation Rentals Inc - 07/31/2012

Golf carts are permitted for owners only. The pictures associated with the pools are simply pictures of the pools. Our office will try it's hardest to make things right when they go wrong. The unit is as it appears on the web-site.

We had a wonderful vacation in this rental, the space was perfect for our 2 families and the short walk to the beach was nice. The only complaint we have is that the beds were very uncomfortable, woke up very stiff--even my 8 year old. Otherwise this property was perfect and we would consider staying in this house again.

Will have to say we had a wonderful stay. The only problem we had was no confirmation before we left and did not know how we were going to get in touch with the management on the weekend. But the turned out great after we got there and everything was fine.

The house was a pleasure to stay in!!! This cottage was the most updated cottage I've stayed in since renting the Guest Cottages. There was plenty of space for my family and I! Would love to get the same cottage again next year!

We have been coming to the summer cottages for over 20 yrs. They can accomodate a big family with grandkids. They are getting older though and the last 2 vacations the cottage needed air conditioning repair and the rug was very dirty. The grandkids feet were black from the dirt on the rug. The ceiling needed a paint job from repairs to the air conditioner. We would still rent the cottage next yr. because of the size of the unit and proximity to the beach.
