My husband and 2.5 year old son stayed at the resort the week after Labor Day. I used to come to the Myrtle Beach Resort some 20 years ago with my family as a kid. I have a lot of great memories of the place. We decided to come back to the resort because it was right on the beach, had multiple pools, and has a splash park area. We had a great time at all three and have no complaints about these. Since most kids were back to school the resort was pretty empty, definitely a bonus! There is also a playground area, but we did not use it.
The location of the resort is convenient. We were a short drive from downtown Myrtle Beach, but also close to the Murrell's Inlet area. There were several restaurants and shops close by including multiple grocery stores to stock up for the week.
There are a couple different food and shopping options at the resort. We did not eat at any of the snack shops or at the Quarterdeck. The small restaurant and gift shop in the Renaissance Tower are pretty miserable and don't offer much.
The room itself is very outdated and overpriced for what we got. I definitely expected a lot nicer. It's the kind of room you don't feel comfortable walking around barefoot in. The bathtubs were dirty and the shower curtains were moldy. The master bath filled up with 4" of water while showering. The furniture in the living room was stained and dirty and we preferred to put a sheet over it before we sat on it. The microwave was very small, which was just a little inconvenient for cooking. I haven't stayed at other resort condos, so I'm not sure what is typical, but it would be nice if they would provide some dish soap, paper towels, and similar stuff. We had to buy all of it when we got down there.
It is possible we would visit the resort again, but we definitely would not stay in this room again, or recommend it to any one. We would be much more selective of rooms in the future. Overall, the whole resort could use some updating. -

very nice unit, nicely decorated. tile floors and tv's in all bedrooms. new applainces in kitchen made it easy to entertain and cook meals. very close to ocean, balcony overlooks large oceanfront pool and of course the beautiful atlantic. could sit on balcony and see kids in the pool! walks on the pristine beach were very romantic. rental company was terrific from the check-in.

We thought the place was clean. It had a nice view of the ocean and pool.The master bedroom was clean but, it is in need of an upgrade on the furniture. the bed was not comfortable. We would have preferred a queen rather than a full size bed. the second bedroom was very nice. The kitchen was nice but also needs a upgrade. All in all, it was clean unit that needs alittle TLC.

We reaally enjoyed our stay at Myrtle Beach. The apt. Was very nice and very well equips with everything we needed. We loved the pools and the beachfront bar. We also enjoyed the tennis courts and basketball court. We had an awesome stay!!
