We rented a home in Nags Head. Milepost 19. The linens and towels being available was awesome. The fact we did not have to stop and check in for keys was fabulous. The location was terrific. The cleaning person was excellent and very polite and helpful.
The weather was terrible. It was only sunny 2 days Friday and Saturday. There was some sun 2 other afternoons. We had 6 children with us! No one can control the weather but unfortunately it colored the whole vacation. The majority of the mattresses were terrible!!! -

We were 3 families with a mix of adults and 7 kids and we all had a wonderful week! Our kids want to come back year after year. The house had everything you could want in it and was extremely clean. The pool and hot tub were open and ready to go when we came during the off season. Loved lounging on the dune top deck. Very much appreciated the game room at night and had many tournaments going on through the week. We'll be back.

I didn't think the pool would really be warm enough but it was wonderful. Well worth the extra money!! The house was accomodating and very comfortable. Few things needed the staff were prompt and courteous! I would definately recommend this property and would stay again!!

Check-in and check-out were very accomodating and easy!
Home was very clean and comfortable.
All questions/issues were handled in a very quick and professional manner.
Lots of room, even with a group of 18, so we all had our own privacy! -

the house itself was in a great location . but the air conditioner on the top floor was broken the whole week and we were told it would be fixed. The temp on the top floor where everyone hangs out was 85 the entire week. That put a hugh damper on the whole week!!! The refrig on the top floor stopped working half way through the week. The air as far as we were concered should have been fixed the second day we were there!!!

The reservation in question was for from June 19 thru June 26. Both the fridge and the a/c were reported not working on June 24th. The same day we placed 3 window units on the top floor, and that particular air conditioning unit has been replaced. Smith Appliance came the same day and made repairs to the fridge.

The cottage was very nice. The only problem we had was the air condition on the top level. Three window units were finally put in on the top level which made the stay better.

We had a great week at Reel Life. The house was well equipped and we especially enjoyed the heated pool and the outdoor speaker system. The three levels provided plenty of room for our family of 16. The house is located closely to many shops and restaurants in addition to the manteo aquarium which was great for the kids. The beach is wide with soft sand and few crowds

House was okay, some minor problems, no password was given for wireless internet and the owner was on the road. One dishwasher was broken and lots of nails & splinters sticking out of the deck. The house needs a bit of work but otherwise it was perfect for us loved the deck by the beach & pool was very clean. Early check-in is really nice!

We stayed from Sept 26 to Oct 3--a very wet week in the OBX. Fortunately, the interior of the house is fabulous--exceptionally clean, well maintained, excellent wireless and many TV options. Additionally, the pool table could actually be used (unlike other properties we've rented). The layout of the house is very thoughtful as well, with easy access to the pool and dune deck. If one is going to be stuck inside at the beach, this property made the stay very pleasant.
I have to comment that the exterior of the property looked a bit run down---definitely in need of some trimming and spraying along the driveway. We also reported a torn screen on the upper deck sliding door which was not repaired during our stay---it would have been nice to open the door without letting the bugs in.
Overall I very much enjoyed staying at this property and one family member commented this is the first house we've rented that we would consider returning to. -

Our first day we encountered our refridgerator not working and our first floor air conditioning not working. The response from the realty company was that they had not received any complaints before. As time went on only one dvd player worked. Tvs are old and small. The remote controls lacked batteries or they did not worked. Rails on deck were shaky. Pool and hot tubs were dirty. There were many other things. On a positive note the views were amazing.

The house worked at perfectly for our needs... only complaints were the size of the hot tub and the quality of the towels! They were a much lower quality than we have ever had at a Resort Realty property

My family of 13 (9 adults-4 children) looked
forward with great anticipation to our trip. This
would be our last spring break together since our
oldest grandson would be leaving for college in
August and his break would not coincide with the
other children in the future.
We were somewhat limited on what we could rent
because we wanted a house that would allow the pool
to be heated in early April. I had the
misconception that being we were the first renters
for the season that all would be in good working
condition and the house general cleaned (cleaned
carpet, restocked pots-pans, sofa-chairs steam-
cleaned, etc) but to my dismay this was not what we
found.
The house smelled musty when we entered. We opened
doors and aired it out before moving in. The carpet
was dirty. The sofa was dirty; we turned the
cushions hoping the other side would in better
condition (WRONG). We had to call for fry pans as
the ones there were without a doubt the nastiest
one could imagine. We had no air-conditioning on
the first level until Wednesday. The washer was
broken when we arrived. When we called the
maintenance dept. we were told it was being worked
on. Tuesday it was fixed and on Wednesday the pump
broke on the washer and saturated the area around
the washer and back bedroom. We moved everyone to
the second level because of the lack of A/C and
damp odor from the broken washer. We were not happy
campers as each family came home with suitcases of
dirty laundry. The house needs a good general
cleaning.
I called the pool service on two occasions and
never got a return call. Resort Realty staff acted
quickly when I called and within two hours the pool
was cleaned.
We loved the location, the beautiful sunrises, the
large crow's nest overlooking the ocean.
Resort Realty and maintenance staff (thank you,
Donna) were quick to try and help each time we
called. I thank you for the effort put forth to
help with our abundance of problems.

We rented the house for our annual fall family beach trip. Overall, we liked the house and enjoyed ourselves greatly. The house was conveniently close to the Outer Banks Pier and all our favorite haunts within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore (the Bodie Island Lighthouse, fishing on the Bonner Bridge, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge). Although they turned the light off to prepare for lighthouse renovations, my being able to see Bodie Island's flashing light from the screened porch on the top level was a special plus.
It was great to be able to check in early, and we loved the floor plan and the fact that there were enough larger beds for everyone. We also loved the hot tub.
What we didn't like so much:
The driveway was narrow and parking was thus tricky (we had more than three cars).
There were some stains on the curtains and family room furniture, and one of the couch pillows was ripped.
A couple of the deck chairs were broken.
These were easily overlooked, however. The house is great, and we all had a great time. -

The house and the vacation was great except for one problem. We paid for an early check-in and fully expected upon our arrival at 12:30 to enter and start enjoying our vacation. But much to our dismay, when we arrived - housekeeping was still there cleaning the house. While waiting for her to complete the house, she took several "smoke breaks" and therefore, didn't complete and give us access to the house until 3:00 p.m.
Once the house was finished and we were allowed to enter the home, we were very pleased with the house, the location and the amenities provided. -

Resort Realty was excellent to deal with. Check in and check out were simple! The house was beautiful and well taken care of. This was our first time to Nags Head but I guarantee we will be back and use Resort Realty again!
