This home sits one lot back from the beach in a quiet neighborhood but has great ocean views and is a short walk from the wide beach. I really like the South Nags Head location that prevents having to walk across busy roads to get to the beach. Bedrooms downstairs are nice with comfortable beds and the open floor plan upstairs was especially liked by our family. The kitchen was the only drawback as our family likes to cook on vacation. One oven burner did not work and the amount of usable pots and pans was limited. Thankfully we brought a large pot with us. Overall we liked the house and would stay there again.
As always, check in is easy and the people at Resort Realty are nice and helpful. Checking out by telephone is a convenient new feature. -

first time I've ever rented a beach house for the week, and spent a lot of time researching various locations. The #1 thing I was looking for was a house very close to the beach for around $2000, and I found just that here! The location was terrific. The beach was beautiful, and the lifeguard station was right there as we stepped onto the beach. Even though this house is one lot back, it felt as if it were beachfront! The hottub was great - we all enjoyed that every night. The rooms were great. My only caution is to really adhere to their sign about the a/c not working if the doors are open. Really watch those doors and keep them closed! Super place!

The house was not that impressive, but it was about as close to the beach as you can get without being "beach-front." Nice clean beach, perfect for the family.

Castle Bleu was a well appointed home with great open spaces that accommodated our family and the friends who vacationed at a near-by property. Easy access to the beach, very clean with perfect bedroom space. The upper floor area was spacious and open with great views of the ocean. Great, clean outdoor shower and BBQ area on the first level. Decking on all levels with great window space made the home bright. This was aa great vacation home for us.

I have already sent my review via a different email. The house is comfortable but the living room furniture a little saggy, needs a new refrigerator and the beds mattresses are not great- except for the king. The house was spacious, clean and again, you can't beat the view. Loved the hot tub and providd plenty of games with a nice table to play on and sit by the ocean. Neat perch to relax and enjoy the good life!

My husband and I went with 1 other couple. We had wonderful weather during our stay at Castle Blue which made our stay that much more enjoyable. The house had everything we need...Coffee pot, showers and Tv's. The Kitchen was bright and open.
When we were not on the beach, we were enjoying the lovely views. Quiet area. The only negative was that the beds are very hard and uncomfortable and the sofas are very dated and worn. Could use a mini face lift with beds and sofas. Other than that...we couldn't ask for more!
