      The view and location to the beach made up for any shortcomings

      We had 6 adults and were a little crowded as we couldn't use the room in the basement. The location is outstanding though... The house would be ideal for a small, young family or maybe 4 adults. We would probably go back!

      every thing was good, location to beach excellent,bathroom needs to be updated and tv in other rooms.Question i am still waiting for my 500 dollars refund for insrance.How long does it take i was here on vacation on 8-25-12 and as of 10-3-12 I have not recieved it,could someone please look into this.Thanks andrew amabile

      Very comfortable house.

      This is the first time we stayed at this house and stayed semi-ocenfront, this being the first year we came without children. We have always stayed right on the beach. The house had a great view and was very comfortable. It was a bit of a hike to the beach tho. The kitchen was very nice and updated. The bathrooms could use the same TLC. We greatly enjoyed our stay at 2 Sand dollars.

      Great week at the beach

      We usually rent an oceanfront home in august/September when rates are lower. We tried this semi oceanfront to get the reduced price for our stay in July. We were not disappointed at all. This house has a great view of the beach and is steps away from beach access. The open floor plan was great and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The outdoor shower was great too. The only downside was that we could not do the fast checkout since the phone in the house did not work.

      Great Location!

      Great ocean views and plenty of room in this house. Usually we stay a little north of this location right in the middle of Nags Head which mixes residential and commercial. This home is located in a area that just has residential so it's much quieter. It's also off the main road a bit which is nice. It's a 30 second walk to the beach which is awesome. One thing that annoyed my family (but secretly thrilled me) was that there was only one television and it's in the living room. Something that annoyed all of us however was that the bathrooms were extremely small. To be frank, the toilets in two of the bathrooms were nearly unusable for anyone over 200 lbs or over 6 feet.

      Cozy comfortable house with a Wonderful View

      We stayed at this house last year also. The kitchen was much better outfitted which I was happy to see since we cook in much of the time. We did have a problem with the a/C for which the rental co sent out a technician who solved the problem. The DVD did not work - would not power on at all and the telephone never worked (we used our cells). We called this in but it never got a dial tone. The location is quiet and just a little away from the shops and restaurants. We went to Manteo a few times. Enjoyed Darrels restaurant in Manteo and Barefoot Bernies in KDH the most. We really enjoyed the ocean view and was wonderful to have our yellow lab with us.

      Our stay S Nags Head marks the 32nd year we have vacationed on the Outer Banks. Your onsite listing, as well as the check-in receipt states that checkin is between 4-6 pm. Arrived slightly early & were told we could not get the keys until 4 o'clock. Returned to office at 3:50 pm & had to wait til 4:50 for keys pm, This is extremely poor customer service. Kitchen,well stocked & remodeled, dinning area needs up-dating.Living room area had slightly newer furniture, but was uncomfortable for watching TV, TV was mounted above fake fireplace, Ihad to bend neck to view TV. The hall bath, was extremely small & dark ~~ wall paper was old & the mess-mash of bathroom facilities~~small, bluesh-green toilet, powder blue tub & off-color blue sink made the dank. Two small bedrooms were simialerly decorated with "shabby-sheek, thrift store" furniture.Bedroom 3 was supposed to be a master; it contained an old dresser, a bed covered with a torn bedspread & three un-matched side tables with small lamps; a small door lead to another extremely small yellow bathroom, was so small,after showered-had to dry in the bedroom.Laundry area was on the ground level. Carpeted with TV, couch & desk, washer & dryer ~~ so musty, mil-dew smelling that I could'nt stay there while doing laundry.

      Also, on two occassions, a repair man came to this house. On Sunday, a man came to change conditionar filters & shower head in hall bathrooom. Late afternoon Thurs or Fri, just as we were leaving for dinner, another man came to check shower head. We did not report any repairs.

      Suggestions: paint inside covering old-out-dated paneling; paint mix-matched furniture or get matching newer furniture & remove carpet, replace with flooring. And, remodel bathrooms.

      After comparing this house to similar houses in the area, this house was very over-priced ~~ espically in the off/ pre-season.

      We had a great time.

      The couch and chair needs serious cleaning, The bed in master needs replacing.and head board.cleanup from hurricane lots of sand in windows and around shelter area. In all the house is very nice and really enjoyed it close to Z beach.It had all the amenities of being at home.We enjoyed some fine eating and shopping and exploring.

      Not the best

      First off, this was our anniversary trip. So we were hoping for a nice get away for a few days. Once we arrived shorty after dark, there were no outside lights to turn on so we could see. Once inside we notice we were covered in Mosquitos, not a few, but between all of us hundreds!! Thank God we have our dog on heartworm prevention, but it's not 100%, so now we have that to be concerned about. It was really terrible, that every time we wanted to go out we had to be ate up bt mosquitos. It would have been nice if we were made aware of the problem, so we may have come prepared for it. Mainly for our pet! Every place we looked was sold out of Mosquito spray, & you can't put it on your pet that has to come from the vet. The house was nice, but it did have ants. Which we found out the next morning after them getting into our food. So a lot of it had to be throwed away. Things weren't as great as we had hoped. Everyone at the seaside was very nice. Sorry to have to complain so much, but it would have been nicer if we had of been told about how bad the Mosquitos were so we could of been prepared.

      An awesome week at the beach

      This vacation was everything I dreamed about. Everything came together. The house had a ocean front view of the waves and beach. Loved the sound of the ocean. Missed Hurrican Irene. I saw Seaside Vacations listed on a web page. Saw that there were pet friendly housing. Started looking, found a semi-beach front that made the price reasonable. Both children got to join us (not an easy task) The house was comfortable. I really liked the outdoor shower. Seaside #1 in customer service.

      Nice View for semi-ocean listing

      A great deal for not being considered oceanfront. the walk was about 20 yds to the beach. the view was great from the deck. The house was small, but enough for us. the only issue was the bathrooms are small. We also used the outside shower the most. Would definitely return and the Management was very nice and accommodating.

      Great beach access and wonderful ocean views

      The home is very comfortable and the location provides great beach access and wonderful ocean views. The living room is very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed having our dog with us. The neighbors are very friendly too. Some improvements could be made - mostly in the kitchen. Some of the dishes were not clean and they look like they were 30 years old and chipped. We could not find a blender and the kitchen didn't have a broiler pan. Since it was very windy several days we wanted to broil instead of grill, but there was nothing to do it with. The handles were severely loose on the frying pans - I would have tried to tighten them but I couldn't find a screwdriver anywhere. There are nails popping up on the deck, and you need to be careful when you are barefoot. The bathrooms are very tight on space and need renovation. We used the outside shower the whole time.
