  Pebble Beach and Seaside Vacations = an amazing vacation

  We've vacationed in OBX several times and always book with Seaside Vacations! This was our first stay at Pebble Beach and it was a beautiful home! Right on the beach and there were plenty of extras included, from boogie boards to beach chairs to cots. By far this was my favorite stay yet! Loved the large bedrooms and the large dining table. We were able to have "family" dinners with 12 of us and we didn't feel crowded. Even though this is a "pet-friendly" home, it was very clean and well furnished. It is located within walking distance from several restaurants and a small grocery store and is within short-driving distance from anything you could want or need. Highly recommended and I hope to stay there again soon!

  We really enjoyed our stay at Pebble Beach. The only issue, but a big one, was the fire alarm. We were in the Outer Banks for my sisters wedding and the house was used for the bridal party to prepare themselves on wedding day. The alarm went off because of a steamer, the fire dept. came and checked everything out and the only thing they could gather was the steamer caused the alarm. It was quite fun and we had a laugh with the firemen and even got a picture with them behind my sister in full gear and her in her wedding dress. Oh yeah, we also have a picture with the fire engine blocking the limousine in the driveway (Priceless). All that said, the alarm went off 3 more times during our trip and it was not as enjoyable. My terminally ill aunt was not feeling well around midnight and decided to take a hot shower, this set off the alarm for the secord time. Not pleasant. The firemen said they have been called to this house many times for false alarms. They other issue we encountered was the water company coming to shut off the water. After speaking with them, they decided to wait until we left to turn it off due to unpaid water bills. Despite all the issues, we really had a great week and the house met the needs of everyone. I feel what we spent was high for the time of year, but I reserved it in april for September. I would stay at Pebble Beach again, mostly because of the memories we created there...

  Second Time around--Still Good

  Second year in a row for us. The first issue was handicapped friendly, which it handled nicely. We liked the number of bedrooms (not all as big as their pictures imply, but still OK) and that they all had their own bathrooms. The owner upgraded the TV access, so that the master bedroom & the common use rooms had DirectTV, which was great, but the multiple remotes necessary for those were confusing & there were no Instructionb! To make matters worse, there were notes saying you would be charged if a service call was necessary to fix something the guest messed up.
  When we were cooking one night there was enough smoke (not much) to set off the alram & we had not way to turn off the security system. Finally got the code from the rental agency, but not before we called them & said we feared a fire truck would show up. One did--and the firewoman said this was a common problem at the beach.
  Two things we reported to Seaside while were there: the big refrigerators had a damaged parts that made the bottom door shelves unuseable, and they were also lacking some of the adjustable door shelves; and the landline phone would not charge & could not be used. They were not taken care of while we were there. We also had a problem connecting to the Internet wireless, and were told we had to use the common unsecured system rather than "Pebble Beach;" instructions would have saved us a lot of grief.
  Final complaint: the fitted sheets did not fit well for the larger beds.
  All these points aside, we would co there again, and recommend Pebble Beach to others.

I see that you noted you had contacted us about damages to the refrigerator and the phone, and received no service. It’s possible that parts needed to be order for the fridge, and the phone company contacted, but someone should have told you that.

  This is a beautiful home! Great for family; many living areas. Beautifully decorated and the kitchen was the best equipped that we have ever had.
  The beach is so easy to reach. The pool is superb.
  
  The only negative is the furniture around the pool, not very comfortable, but we came for the beach mostly!
  Great , great place to rent! We booked immediately for next year!

  Great Time With Family - minor problems with house

  We had a great time with family - weather was great - pool had a little problem keeping the heat on and we did not have any TV on the main floor. We could not get into the house at 4:00 but once we were in we really glad to have the elevator. The home is basically in good condition. A TV was finally brought to us Wednesday (we were not to happy about that) not having a TV on the main floor was a big inconvenience. Seaside Vacations were very accomodating to our needs and usually had someone out the next day with any issues we had. We would definitely rent this house again.

  Lots of space, well appointed house. Great relaxation spaces. Was great that each bedroom had a private bath. Very clean throughout. Elevator was a real plus for certain family members. On a negative note, the entertainment system in the main living area was old and didn't work at all after mid-week. The multiple remotes in both living areas were not user friendly and there were no instructions. Even though it was great that linens were provided, the quality was terrible. Bed sheets were poorly fitted and towels were old and paper thin.

  This is a beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well-decorated home. Lots of space for the four teenagers we had. The experience with Seaside was great - love that you don't have to check in or out at their office. My only complaint is that they need to put a table and umbrella poolside so that you can eat or get some shade (my 84 year-old mother can't sit in the sun). Also, please, please put a decent grill at the home.

  We had a group of 16 at Pebble Beach and we had a great stay. The beach had been restored prior to our arrival and it is in a great location. Keyless entry with the number of people that we had with us was so convient. No need to go to the office or keep track of keys. The indoor/outdoor sound system was a great bonus for us music lovers. Dual dishwashers and washer/dryers were a huge bonus. We all fell in love with the ice machine. A few things that we would improve on would be to add a gas grill. It was a challenge to grill at times when the weather didn't cooperate. A minor thing, but we would suggest coasters on the kitchen level. Also it would have been nice to have toilet paper left in the bathrooms. There were some left in our package, but given the number of bath room we all felt it rather odd that there was none! The sheets on the master king bed were too small and didn't fit right and one of the queen beds could have been more comfortable. However given that, everyone really enjoyed their stay. The pool was cleaned mid-week. I wasn't expecting much of the pool but we were pleasantly surprised by it's size and design. Lot's of space for the sports fans to hang out by the poker table. Great Memories. Thanks for the great stay.

  We were not told about the huge pipe in front of our home until 3 wks prior to our stay, the pipe leaked continually and really ruined the beach. The inside of the house was very nice and clean with all necessary amenities. The pool area was smaller than we expected with difficulty even walking around if someone was sitting poolside. The pool/deck furniture was terrible! Solid wood with no cushions and many were falling apart with loose screws. Seaside vacation was good to deal with except for the issue with not being notified regarding the beach restoration pipe. The ocean water was quite cold and to top it off the smoke from the wild fire was prevalent at times. We did enjoy the less crowded roads and dining experience but overall we were not pleased. We have vacationed in Myrtle Beach for 15+ yrs and thought we would try something different. Overall I doubt we will return and despite the increased traffic in Myrtle Beach it is a significantly better destination and value.

  We are truly sorry about the inconveniences that occurred due to the beach nourishment project in Nags Head. There are many benefits to beach nourishment including the widening our recreational beaches and providing protection to homes and businesses, but clearly there are some temporary drawbacks while it is occurring. The proposed schedule wasn't published until late May, and we notified our guests as soon as we knew the plan was finalized.
  
  We unfortunately have a double-whammy with the Pain's Bay Forrest Fire. There are many days where we have no issues at all. Everything depends on the wind. It would be great if these two events were within our control, but Mother Nature is really in charge here.
  
  We will address your feedback regarding the pool furniture immediately. In the future, please let us know of any issues as they arise, and we will gladly fix them while you are here.
  
  Our goal is to provide an excellent vacation experience, and we are sorry we fell short with your stay. We hope you will give us another opportunity to meet this goal.

  The house was absolutely great! We all agreed that the only negative was Nags Head was a little busier than Corolla and avon where we have previously stayed. The kids said "Can we rent this one again?" It had everything we could wish for. We already told several friends about it.

  We traveled with extended family, including young children and elderly. The house was great. We all enjoyed the pool and the access to the beach. We were also within walking distance of some touristy locations. We would definitely stay in this house again!!
