This cottage is approx. 58 yards to the beach on a private street. Relax and enjoy the great ocean and sound views from the upper deck. Fish cleaning area is great for fishermen. The cottage has been totally upgraded to include flooring, carpet, interior paint, bathroom, furniture improvements and addition of washer and dryer. The Good: Wonderful location, about 100 steps to the beach with a great sundeck and grill. Living room tv is a nice flat screen (although the furniture is not very comfortable). The kithchen is nice and spacious, dishwasher and w/d are great!
The Bad: One note, however, is that although Resort Realty charges a $90 cleaning fee, most of the cleaning is left to the previous tenants (e.g., vacuuming, sweeping and washing dishes). Resort Realty comes in and places a piece of paper wrap around the toilets to give an illusion of cleaning them, but they were absolutely filthy (both of the bathrooms), so you may want to bring some toilet and tub cleaner with you. We also washed the bedspreads because they smelled (these things are true of all Resort Realty properties we have stayed in, so this one having a w/d made it easier). -

We loved the Whale Inn!! We loved how family friendly the house was, all the little touches that made it a perfect place for us to stay. We definitely plan to stay at the Whale Inn again in the future.
