This is a great house--well kept and clean. The best part of the house is its location, but the awesome balconies are a close second. The beds are comfortable--we had no complaints. The views are stunning in all directions. I would certainly recommend this house again. Be wary that the rental company that manages this house has lots of fees which will increase the rental price by about $500 or so.

The house could use some updates such as the windows which appear to be rotting, a broken sliding door which apparently the owner doesn't want to fix. Overall it was enjoyable and a terrific location by being right on the beach and just a mile or 2 away from the main road. The people at the rental office are always friendly and efficient. Read more

Overall this property is clean. However it is not maintained very well at all. Several key things that stand out; ice maker does not work and is corroded, all the sliding glass doors were very hard to operate and the main door on the top floor is broken and falling apart, the wooden built-in benches on the back porch had planks falling off due to corroded screws and had exposed rusty nail heads that you could easily cut yourself on. Three of the four burners worked on the stove, the DVD player did not work, the wall paper was peeling off the walls is several areas and lastly, several pieces of the deck furniture were in disrepair as well.
On a good note, the house is right on the beach with magnificent views. The air conditioners were new so we had cold air. The beds were comfortable. Read more

We stayed at Turner for our second time this year. It is a great house right on the beach in close to everything. Perfect place for 10 to 12 people or so. Not a monster house so great for like two families.

My mom, sister, 2 dogs and myself had the pleasure of spending a relaxing week in Turner. Great location. ...right on the beach. House was very clean. Lots of room. Absolutely loved the wrap around porches. Also was nice to have partially covered porch...still sat outside and enjoyed the ocean even though bit was sprinkling. Couches in main living area had a musty smell so would suggest maybe having them cleaned or febreezed.Well equipped kitchen.
Location of house was great. Close to restaurants, rental agency, stores and grocery store. Everyone at Resort were great and communicated quickly. My mmom liked it so much she wants to pre-reserve for next year.
Thanks again for an enjoyable family trip. Read more

Great location, but needs updating

The proximity to the ocean is wonderful. The rooms are spacious. The decks are great. The place needs a thorough cleaning and painting. All of the furiture, bedding and carpeting needs to be replaced. The advertized ice machine only serves to make the laundry room unbearably hot. Windows & sliding doors are in awful condition. Working with Resort Realty was very easy and really a pleasure. We have stayed elsewhere before but plan to make this a regular spot. We had two minor issues, linens and an aC, that were both handled with a phone call. The house is great with its location to everything like the grocery and seafood market. The beach was amazing. We now understand the beach was expanded a year ago which made this beach fantastic. The waves were great for everyone and it was our best OBX experience. Beds are the only shortcoming. Somewhat hammock like and very noisy to just roll over in.
The location is amazing

The location is great. It is a bit run down but worth the location and beach. The biggest complaint I have are the Queen beds in both rooms are horrible. Both mattresses are shot. Need to be replaced. I can deal with run down, but a bad night sleep every night is not fun. In our queen bed you both roll to the center. Not great. Otherwise we spent many hours on the beach and the deck so we could overlook the other things, except the beds. You just can't beat the location!!!

we stayed in the turner. we had 2 problems while there. one the air conditioning went out and had to be fixed with window units at 5:00 pm then they had to come back the next day to check it again. the other problem we had was the dog hair. i did not think that the floors would be so dirty. i must have swept that floor a dozen times while staying. we have a 6month old crawling and it was just gross the large amount of long white dog hair that was everywhere. other than those two things i thought everything was very nice and would recommend the turner to anyone. i really thought it was the best view on the part of the beach. we will be back and probably to the turner.

A relaxing getaway on the ocean

The Turner house is a quaint, cozy house where you step out the back steps right onto the ocean. The first morning we woke up to a gorgeous sun rise to find it was only 5:30 a.m.!!! The kitchen on the upper level made domestic work more enjoyable with the wondrful view. The living room was cozy and the art work throughout really brought the beach inside. The house gave you the necessary amenities and what you had to get was easy drive with the house near many wonderful restaurants and shopping. The week flew by and we hated to leave.
We had the best beach vacation ever!

The house is a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean, and lots of great outdoor decks to allow you to be outside as much as possible. We have been staying here for years and we simply love it!
