Yes, this house is not as modern as some others we have stayed in. and yes, it could use another bathroom. But, if you want a beach house to take your dogs, this house is great. The fenced in yard was what sold me while looking online. It was so nice to let the 3 dogs we had with us out the back door and not worry about leashes. My one complaint about the property that week was the grass was extremely high when we checked in. I called the management company on Monday and they did not come out until Thursday to cut it. The excuse was that the house was vacant the week before we were there and the scheduled day is Thursday. We didn't want to hear an excuse and no real solution. That is the only reason I am not giving this house a 5 star rating. Even though this is a pet friendly house, it did not smell like pets when we got there. If we take our dogs back to OBX, we will stay here again.

We never got to stay here, When we arrived we were told the house was being treated for fleas, but would be ok for us to enter at 5:30 PM. We did not feel that we wanted to go into flea treated house that soon. Asked to be moved to another house they said they did not have one. They said we could either stay there or lose our money. So for the safety of ourselves and our dog we drove seven hours back home. Found out later they had several homes available. Not how we would expect to be treated by a reputable rental company.

The hot tub needs to be accessible by everyone in the house, not just the master suite. Lights should be added in the back yard. Loved that it was fenced in but lacked lights for evening & night time play. Carpets needs a good cleaning, dog hair & smell was a bit much.

We had a great time! The pool was very nice our kids really enjoyed it. The grass really needed cutting it was cut on thur. 2 days before we had to leave. The grass and weeds were very high. One bed was given the wrong size sheets someone did come and give us a new set the same night. The hike to the beach was closer than we thought. We enjoyed our stay at seaside vacations.

It was our first trip to Nags Head. The house was nice. It met our needs. The dogs loved the house and fended yard. The house was a bit dated. The cleaning could be done a bit better. The gas grill did not work and the house phones were very hard to hear on. A lot of static.
With that being said we had a wonderful time and everyone at sea side was great. -

The location of the house is perfect. It was a very short walk to the beach. The house was very nice. The king size bed could use some bigger pillows. There was black dog hair on the upstairs living room carpet. However, someone from Seaside did bring us a vaccum right away and that fixed it. We loved the lounge chairs by the pool. Overall, it was great and we would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay and were so happy we were allowed to bring our 4 small dogs. The house was closer to the beach then I thought. Enjoyed the fenced in yard with grass and the extra fence around the pool. I wish I could go back tomorrow. Lovely home. Very neat and tidy. It might be a good idea to add a little more cushion on the king size bed. Love the staff from Seaside rentals.

Everything that Cathy has said is true of this property. The fence was leaning and propped up by a two by four. The pool lady came checked the chemicals; could of used a good cleaning did not clean. The door leading outside on top deck did not lock. My dog had briars in her paws everytime she went out. The beach access was horrible, but you can't really blame that on the house owner. The shared bathroom was horrible, do not care for shower and tub doors, too much dirt gets caught. Need some lounge chairs by the pool. Little tables would have been nice on decks but no big deal.

I have commented before on this house, Carolina Breeze. Management's comment back to me was that I should have notified them as the problems occurred. I did. They kept telling me someone will be there. Reference the ice maker. Prior renters commented on this same problem and it still was not fixed.

This is a very nice house but here are some complaints/suggestions:
- no sand toys as listed
- fence was down (we had a dog)
- phone did not work
- ice maker did not work
- sand spurs in the backyard that we had to keep getting off the dog.
- the shared bathroom the toilet did not flush correctly.
- not really semi-oceanfront. With all the houses in front could barely see the ocean from the top deck.
- It took 2 days after checking in for the people to come and check the pool for safety. We were told it would be the next day after check in. When the lady did show up she sat in the truck for 30 minutes talking on the cell phone. Needless to say we could only use the pool for 2 days of our vacation. Wasted money on getting a house with a pool.
- The description is miss leading. It should state "Master Bathroom and one shared bathroom".
- There should be a half bath on the top level. There is a nice area to put it between the living area and the dining room.
- Need small tables on the decks.

suggestion- outdoor table. Thought there was a wooden walkout to the beach, so there was a little struggle getting onto the beach through the thorny walkway.

Liked the house. Lots of great space and necessities. Would like to have a 1/2 bath on top level. Hard on the older folks. The street was busy and not real safe for little kids.

Overall the home was good but there are few things that I believe Seaside is responsible for...I called about the refrigerator the 1st day that it was not cooling she said someone would call me back but probably not until Sunday never received a phone call back at all. Granted it did start to cool down but the knob was broke on the temperature gauge therefore have no idea what it was set on and I told Seaside this.. the fact is my call should have been returned. Also for a dog friendly home the yard was horrible I constantly had to pick little briars out of my dogs paws and this would definitely be preventable had the grass been cut and yard weedeated. The hot tub is not in a good location to serve all the guests since the only way you can get to it is through the master bedroom. The outside shower did not work at all.

Loved the layout of the living-dining area, but needs a half bath upstairs. It was difficult for my mom, who is 83, to go up and down the stairs multiple times per day. Ice maker did not work, either.
did not like the fact that u had to go through the master bedroom to get to the hottub. no other access from inside or outside.
loved the yard, and pool area. definitely needed the outside shower to work, though. Hard to get all the sand off before going to pool, just by using a hose.
did not like that the house was listed as semi-oceanfront, when there were at least 2 house in front of it, after u crossed beachroad. No ocean view at all.
we have been coming to Obx since 1980, every summer. so I have rented several beach houses. We have returned to a few of them, but I would not return to this one, unless some changes were made.Response from Seaside Vacations* - 07/09/2011
