The home does have the potential to be nice but you can tell this has been neglected for some time. The carpet is ripped in many spots, stained and just looks dirty even when just vacuumed. I really should give this home a one but everything did work and we did have a good time once we were "used" to the condition of the home it was okay.
the House was very nice

First off, I am going to book again for next year!! We loved it. The house has more than enough for us in that my wife and I stayed on the top floor it was just the two of us. It felt like we had come "Home". The House is clean, as can be expected with going to the beach each day. The carpets are worn but with the bare feet, beach and salt, what more can you expect. We did not want for anything, as the kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, dishes, pots and pans. We brought our own linen, so we did not experience the linen service but there were lots of balnkets and pillows for the cool nights on the couch.
Little things, not biggy, the phone n the kitchen did not work but the other cordless worked so I could complete a teleconference for work while sitting on the deck. The TV in the lving room had numerous remotes, but all labelled and once the sequence was down, all worked fine (A guy thing having all the remotes.)
The shower heads could use replacing. I like a nice heavy shower, not a spray, but water was hot and worked well. Again, getting picky.
We had no kids with us but with the xbox, playstation, Fooz ball, board games, puzzles and complete library of books there is no reason for the kids to say they have nothing to do. Besides, the beach is about 120 steps away and the water was 75-80 degrees every day.
The area is perfect. It is not crowded the first few weeks of September, but the location is far enough away for all the shosp and restaurants that there would be no crowd issue anyway. Minutes to groceries, seafood!!! and the outlet stores (Yuck, another guy thing) The location is perfect for the day trip north or south taking in all the OBX sights, sounds and surf.
The beach was wonderful, clean and no crowds. Lots of room to roam and be on our own.
All I can say, I will be back, whether it bee to Parradise or another house. Best vacation in a long time!
Crazy about the crow's nest

We loved it - there was plenty of room for all 7 members of the family and the dog. The kids slept in the crow's nest when it wasn't raining because it was so neat!!! The phone didn't work and the TV controls were a nightmare, but everything else was terrific.

Close to the beach, short walk across the street, and not that far from all the shops and restaurants. Clean and spacious inside and plenty of well sized bedrooms.
Relaxing renewal at Nags Head

This home was perfect for a family of four to spread and enjoy togetherness. We used every inch of this house - playing games, having dinner together at the big table, splashing in the spa, and just relaxing in the living room or on the deck.
The location was ideal for access to Manteo, the southern lighthouses, the outlets, the beach, and much more. Sooo peaceful and the private road allowed us to practice bike riding each day!
This house was easy to spot from afar because it has a crow's nest and is red - so we never lost our way back home. We look forward to coming back next year :)

The house had plenty of room for five adults and our two dogs. Check in and check out took no time at all. The hot tub stopped working during our stay and there was a repairman there the next day to fit it. The decks offer great views, especially the rooftop level. My family and I enjoyed the home and will probably stay there in thr future.
Good for families, very convenient for beach lovers.

Overall, a nice experience. House is a short walk (across an unbusy road) to the beach. The outside, enclosed shower was great to have, and the grills too. Our favorite "extra" of the house was the excellent wi-fi; we really expected to have spotty network, but it was super. Now for the not so great aspects. The pictures posted of the house made it seem way larger than it actually is, particular on level 2 where 3 bedrooms are tightly clustered. The "master bedroom" is among these 3 BRs on level 2, but its bathroom is by far the worst and smallest of the house. Zero counterspace and just a shower stall. The upper level with kitchen and main living space has a bedroom and bath that are considerably more spacious and modern -- jetted tub & shower, plus large counter. The kitchen was relatively well equipped, but they aren't kidding when they say you must bring lots of supplies -- no dishsoap or kitchen sponge or decent oven mitts.
We chose the house primarily for its location, wi-fi, and allowance of dogs, and on balance I would still recommend it fairly highly. Just don't expect a lot of space or modernity beyond the wi-fi. It officially sleeps 8, but it can be very claustrophobic beyond 5 or 6.

We stayed with our 2 dogs and had a terrific time! The house was clean and well-equipped, but a few things were dated. We loved the outside decks and proximity to the beach, but the biting bugs were awful. Wish we'd known that ahead of time. Upstairs television didn't work and even maintenance couldn't fix it. We were without tv for 2 days, including Sunday football. Aside from that, house was great!

Service was good, professional and timely. The home was at best, OK...we were a little dissapointed with the back yard (lots of cactus!!)Did not really care for the swamp in front of house (mosquitoes in abundance) but...loved the overall location. The beach in near the house was being worked on most of the time, but nice . I think next time we will research our house a bit more, but will stay with Resort Realty!!
