My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Thunderbird...the peope at Beach Realty were pleasant and efficient...the check in was smooth and fast. The house was great...plenty of space for all and it was a very comfortable home...the amenities were outstanding...couldn't have asked for more!!! The owner stopped by to check the pools and hot tubs and was very nice...he even took the time to take our family picture on the beach for us...even though the weather could have been better, we enjoyed our stay and would pick the Thunderbird for another vacation. Thanks for everything...Janet

Always love being right on the water. the idea of a pool and hot tub on the roof is genius not to mention the indoor lap pool and tub in basement. Some of the mattresses were a little lumpy but nothing like taking the kids out to Boogie board on a not too crowded beach with the life guard being right in front of the house.

The Thunderbird has a hot tub on roof with the best 360 degree view in Nagshead. There is a pool on the roof and several tables for dining. Very unique for the outerbanks. Lots of spacious master bedrooms. Having an ocean view while playing pool was an exclusive experience to this house as it's located on an upper level instead of the usual ground level. Nice open kitchen with everything you need to cook indoors or grill outside. Two refrigerators and sinks in kitchen. I am a neat freak but the floors and some of the bathrooms could have been cleaner. Several TV/game areas throughout the house. Very nice gazebo on walkway to beach. Balcony/windows off kitchen offer great views. Located next to a motel and public beach access is a few houses away but beach was surprisingly not crowded. Wings store and several restaurants within walking distance (1 to 2 blocks). Lots of board games, books and VCR tapes for entertainment. Also indoor hot tub, lap pool and treadmill on first level - very rare for OBX rental. Master Bathroom on second level made up of two separate rooms - vanity,sinks and closet in one room and shower and toilet in the other. I found that to be uncommon but this house is one-of-a kind. The owner was on site when we arrived working on house. We have been renting for years and never met an owner before this trip. My husband had a nice conversation with him that day and on Thursday when he returned to service pool and hot tub. If you are looking for a change from the usual and want a view that is unbeatable, stay at the Thunderbird.

Wonderful house with 2 hot tubs. Every room is a master. All family members raved about the house. We enjoyed sitting in the rooftop hottub looking at the view and the stars. Teenagers and Mom loved the close proximity to the Mall. This house was great in the off season. Going during a warmer season when the 2 pools are warmer would be even better!

Nice house, but alittle pricey. The "heated" indoor lap pool never got warm enough to use, but I'm sure it would be nice in the summer. Needs a big screen TV but all else was very nice. Lots of parking for multi-family gatherings and proximity to beach is convenient. Would stay there again.

We had a very enjoyable stay! The views from the roof were spectacular! The home is very spacious and has a lot to offer. The home was well stocked and had everything we needed.

We choose this house for the indoor pool. We did not realize that the indoor pool is really not fully indoors. The pool was un-useable (to cold), our kids swam in the indoor hot tub. The living room furniture smelled like urine and the floors were so dirty I threw my kids socks away after that trip. The kitchen was nice and roomy and having two refrig was very helpful. The layout of the home was great and the view from the roof top hot tub was incredible. This could be a great house with a few things updated and a really good cleaning!
