Dayton, OHGreat week just a short walk from the beach
Left on 08/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012
First off, working with Resort Realty was very smooth. Check in and check out were both easy, and we had no problems there.
This was our first time staying in this area, and we found the location to be very convenient. Grocery store is only about 1.5 miles up the road. Many restaurants and shops also relatively close by. You can walk to Jockey's Ridge if you want. There is also an ice cream shop just around the corner, but we werent big fans - just soft serve and it melted very fast. If you go, I recommend a bowl and not a cone. The house is third row, so one full block off the beach, but it is the second house from the corner, and that road is a beach access, so the walk is not bad at all. Do note, however, that there are about 14 steps up and down to get over the dune at the beach access, so it was a little difficult with a stroller or beach cart, but not unmanageable.
The house itself was very nice. Everything was clean and in good condition. Bedrooms were a little small, but okay for a vacation house. Kitchen was pretty well equipped, and having the second fridge on the ground level was a big plus. We did have some issues with the kitchen fridge not holding the temp in the freezer, which we could not figure out, so beware that ice cream and similar items may not stay frozen. Other complaint would be the older tube tv in the living room - you can get a nice 40" LCD for under $500, and that would be a much appreciated upgrade to the house. Living room does have surround sound, and there's also a small stereo on the ground floor by the pool table.
Outside, the pool was a great size for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. The hot tub was also very nice in the evening. There is an outdoor shower, but be careful because you might give the neighbors a show - needs a shade on the side.
Overall, our entire group really enjoyed this house. We had a great week, and would definitely keep this house on our short list and stay here again.

Waldorf, MDIt was a very relaxing, fun, and memorable experience.

Everything was excellent. There were a couple minor problems, however. The first was with check-in. We went to pick up our packet from the Outer Banks rental office, and there was no key to our house. The other was that when we went into the house, we found no linens, washcloths, or towels. However, calling your after hours service quickly resolved the key issue, and the linens were taken care of early in the week. The house was airy, beautifully decorated, had a great pool, and in a very convenient location. The house was adequate for guests, whom we had over.

We had vacationed in this home a few years ago with family, and we loved it. The pool is terrific - very large! The walk to the beach is short. There is even an oceanfront view from the top level. We enjoyed shooting pool in the evenings - the pool table is in great condition. The house has modern upgrades and is very clean. Also within walking distance to the Snowbird Ice Cream Shop. The only change I would request would be the check-in time - the house wasn't available until after 4pm.

Fantastic getaway. This cottage has all the amentities of a home and the comfort that forces one to relax during their visit. Great views of the ocean and a pool that you rarely find at any beach cottage this size. Conveniently located with easy access to both the beach and the bypass, making it very easy to get to anywhere you need to go. We will definitely return again in the future!

North Canton OHWe enjoy the Outer Banks tremendously
Left on 07/18/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We liked the house. It didn't have the configuration of beds that we are accustomed to, but it worked out. Usually one of the bedrooms has bunkbeds or a trundle for the boys. We had 2 19 year old boys sleeping in one bed. The one downfall was that the master bedroom had no TV. The kids were upstairs and we wanted to watch a different show, so we had to sit on the bed in one of their rooms. Also, adding an ice machine would be a great plus. The pool was great and the kids enjoyed having it to themselves (we've stayed with community pools in the past). Loved the location and the easy walk to the beach. Porches are great for looking at the dunes.

We enjoyed a fun family vacation! Since our children are now grown, it's so nice to find a house without twin/bunk bedrooms. The house was very comfortable for everyone, well furnished, kitchen well stocked, and we loved the game room, large pool and hot tub . It's a perfect location - within walking distance to the fishing pier and Snow Bird ice cream, also close to sand dunes, shopping, and many of our favorite places to eat. (Sugar Creek and Sam & Omie's always great)

C-Fun was a great house in a good location. The home itself was clean, very comfortable and well decorated. Kitchen was well stocked for dishes but cooking utensils were somewhat depleted.
Family loved the pool and hot tub. While there was not alot of rain during our stay...a dry deck would have been nice for when it did rain.
Overall we really enjoyed the service from Resort and our stay at C-Fun.

location was great. enjoyed the house, but the pool was to cold to enjoy even with 90+ temp. will look for a house next year w/o a pool to save $$$. we would rent this house again, IF it did not have a pool.

Greensboro, NCgreat place to stay
Left on 07/16/2009 for a stay in May 2009
We loved this house. It's in a great location, close to the beach, Jockey's Ridge, and stores. The house was well-kept and very clean. The furniture was nice and it was a very comfortable place to stay. We felt like we were home.
Weakness: We love to grill, but the park grill is in a windtunnel and is impossible to light. We had to bring our own grill this year. It would be nice if the house had a gas grill.
