Nice place
It was a nice place and had a well stocked kitchen. Our first night we had to sleep on the mattress covers because we had no sheets. We were not to happy about that after a 10 hour car ride. The air conditioner in the living room was very noisy and needs to be replaced. As far as the house itself it was nice and great setup to access the beach.

Rustic
Gillam is a family ready experience on the beach. For two couples it was large enough but when we arrived there were 3 towels for four people and no toilet paper. As you can imagine it was not a welcoming experience. We found the housekeeping sadly lacking and were unable to sit in certain chairs due to dog hair and the like.
If we were a young family driving in with all of our own supplies and willing to clean up the place on arrival it would have been a nice place.

Restful
We purchased the linen package but our beds ere not made when we arrived. We love the location, the house is great, and it is an excellent value. This is our second stay at this property and we will return.

Great location, nice layout, needs better cleaning, AC & linens
You should know that this house has a great layout and location, but the management company needs to do a better job of getting it ready for use by renters paying this much money, especially since there is no washer, dryer or central aC.
When we arrived around 8:30 PM, the house was over 80 degrees inside (it was over 90 outside). Of the four window aC units, one was broken and spewing hot air ,one barely worked, one worked but was too small for the room it was in, and all four had lots of mildew on them. It took several lysol sprays and wipe downs to remove the awful moldy smell.
We found a big fan in one closet and started to try to cool the house off. None of the beds were made, although a print out from Resort Realty said they would be. When I started to make the beds with the sheets provided, I found that the quilts had big stains and the mattress covers were full of hair. Gross. I removed the mattress covers, shook them out on the deck, and put the clean sheets on the beds.
The next morning I called Resort Realty and they sent a terrific guy who replaced the broken air conditioner. He also tried to repair the TV in the living room which stopped working just before he arrived. He couldn't figure out how to fix it and no one ever came back to take care of it. For the rest of the week, managing the heat in the house so we could sleep at night was a constant issue.
The owner's family uses a small residence under the house while renters are there. The hot tub is located under the porch where they hang out, and so you'll have to use it while their down there or wait until they are gone.
The owners of this house seem to be nice people who have worked to have all the conveniences.
but we won't rent this house again.

Really good time!
My husband and I never rented a vacation home before and the service we encountered with Resort Realty was wonderful. We decided to take my stepson for a weekend gateaway at the last minute, meaning just two days before going, and the girl we dealt with on the phone was great. Also, when we got there to check in, they were friendly and helpful. The house was not glamerous, it's a beach house right on the ocean. It was clean and comfortable, but if you plan on doing any cooking, best to bring your own pots and pans. They had seen better days. We were also disappointed in the TVs as they were quite old and the living room TV was too small for the room. Not to say who watches TV on vacation at the ocean, but when it is raining or late at night, it is something to do once your gamed out. We didn't have much luck with good restaurants. We ate out every night and didn't find one we liked. Definitely stay away from the Mexican one. For a little siteseeing, the Wright Brothers' museum was very interesting. Even though it was cold and wet, we had the best time buying kites and flying them in very windy weather. Overall, we can sum our experience as having FUN, FUN, FUN. We would not have a problem renting the same house again and definitely recommend Resort Realty.
