We enjoyed our time at McLendon and recognize that for the current rental market dictates the pricing of an oceanfront cottage. However, the kitchen needs some updating (the drawers and cabinets need adjustment). Of more importance however, is the fact that the cottage does not offer internet access via wireless. In 2011 the cost of giving a cottage/home internet capabilities via wireless are so low and when spending over $3000 for a vacation, renters are likely to be disappointed at having to hoof it to the local coffee shop to answer emails/conduct business. Overall the time was enjoyable.

Ants in the kitchen, leaks in the ceiling in main livingroom, the end of the walkway was never shoveled and it was difficult to get to beach. check in was the worst, do not recommend the resort.

House is basic and fine for a beach vacation. House is dated, but for the price range of oceanfront property...just about what I would expect. Did have a water leak in one of the downstairs bedrooms, but had a quick response from Resort Realty, so no harm done.

We have stayed in Nags Head several times over the years but this was the first time I've ever had anything stolen. My new beach chair and shovel were stolen in the 10 minutes or so I went up to the bathroom. It made me feel on alert and uneasy the rest of the week. The house was fair it had the basics but needs some major TLC. The owner could spend a couple thousand dollars to spruce the place up and get more in rent. I would rent through your agency again but not the McLendon. I did like however, that it was Oceanfront and had tv's in all the rooms.

This summer will be the 4th year that we have stayed at this house. The house has great ocean views and is pretty centrally located to restaurants and shopping. The house is always clean when we arrive and in good condition.

I loved this house. We come to the Outer Banks for a July vacation every summer. Every summer we have chosen a different house so we have seen it all. This house was our favorite in the last 6 years. We loved it so much we were going to choose it to be the home we used every summer but we lost one of the families that share the vacation with us and can no longer afford it. My only disappointment was that the picture showed stairs that touch right down to flat beach and upon our arrival the stairs were covered with sand and my handicapped mother was unable to walk to the beach with us. Other than that the house was very comfortable, clean and in a great beach location. The beach was wide with soft sand. Sunrises were a God given gift. The covered porch made enjoying the view that much sweeter. The house needed a new iron, a few bigger pots and pans for cooking and the stairs to be cleared of sand for elderly and small children.

I am a business executive and it's tough for me to relax even on vacation. This cottage was wonderful for my wife, myself, as well as my daughter and son in law. There was more room than we needed...we intentionally rented this luxurious, large beach house to have extra space. It was fantastic. Sitting on the rear deck looking out over the ocean put my mind at ease. The lower deck was perfect for relaxing in the shade. My daughter loved the upper deck because she could get more sun in the afternoon. The location on the beach was also great for my son in law who enjoyed both fishing on the beach and the pier. We were close to restaurants, shopping, and the dunes. It was a perfect place to spend one of the best week's of my life. From bedding to kitchenware to overall cleanliness...everything in the house was perfect.

Simple accomodatgions for a simple family vacation. Price has been better than most other places we looked at. Love being just a walk from the beach
