The only negative was the distance to beach access and no info book at the home as we have had in the past with church times, recommended attractions, etc. the other disappointment was the pool light was inoperable making evening swims impossible. We called and were told it would be handled but never was. I was surprised as we have always had excellent service before. Otherwise a great vacation.

This rental was definitely not worth the money.

I was very disappointed with this rental. It certainly was not maintained as it should have been. I was told the property was for sale and it was obvious that the owner did not want to put any money into the property. The online pictures must have been taken years ago. I had to call the rental agency several times for various reasons. The hot tub did not turn on, the ice maker in the freezer did not work, the pipe under the kitchen disconnected and we had water over the floor, there was no handle on the microwave, the element in the oven caught fire and as we stripped the beds before our departure a blood stain was found on one of the mattresses. The cleanliness of the house was also questionable. When we arrived the kitchen floor was filthy and the handrail for the stairs was sticky. We had to mop the floor and wipe down the handrails as soon as we entered the house on Friday. The best thing about the house was the pool but a service never came to clean it the whole week we were there. I did like the location of the house but in the description it should mention how far it is from public access to the beach. This vacation was my Christmas gift to my family. I was disappointed and a little embarrassed with the condition of the house. This was our very first trip to Nags Head. We will be back, but certainly not in this rental! Read more

On behalf of Resort Realty, we apologize for the maintenance issues and any inconvenience you may have endured during your vacation. In looking at our maintenance records, I do see that a number of these issues have been addressed. We have forwarded the information you supplied to the property manager and housekeeping supervisor for their consideration and information.
Yes, you are correct. This home did just sell last week. I am not yet aware of the new owners plans for the home.
We do mention the distance to the beach in each home description, and I apologize that may not have seen it. Thank for your comments, and do hope to assist you again with your vacation needs.

It was a very short walk to the beach and having the pool and hot tub were great options with kids in tow. The decor was a bit dated, but we were focused on enjoying our families' time together and Queen anne's allowed us to do that. There was plenty of room for dining all together. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the beds. The pool was great. The hot tub wasn't always hot and we were given an incorrect wireless code, but once we figured that out, all was well. We had a great time! We had three families share the space... 4 adults and 8 kids. Would have liked recycling options as far as trash went. Overall we decided we would stay there again.

House was clean and well maintained. The access to the beach was very out of the way. Hard to carry coolers, chairs, and canopy each day that far. Didn't like the kitchen all the way up 3 flights of stairs, carrying groceries was hard. The view from the balcony was not a good one. The motel across street blocked you seeing sun coming up. You could see alittle, telephone and electric wires in way of a good picture. I thought the motel should be asked if anyway possible you could access the beach from the house. It wouldn't hurt him one bit to walk through his parking lot! Don't think I'd rent here at this house again. But Resort Realty was very nice and all needs were met. Pool was great!

The house was roomy and very well furnished. Beds were uncomfortable from just about everyone's view point. Funny, but everyone also commented on personal photos of home owner and family everywhere. Weather was nice and everyone had a pleasant vacation.
The only real issue was all the extra service groups showing up during our stay (someone to try to fix lock on sliding door, yard service mowing was very noisy around pool w/grass coming thru fence on us, and receiving phone call saying the house was going to be shown on Sunday @ 10 am and not receiving notice that no one was coming until approximately 5 pm later that day. Thought there could have been a better time to show house without having guests renting the house at that time.
First Family Beach Trip
Plenty of room but not as convenient as it seems :)

We had a great time visiting Nags Head for the first time! The house provided our family of 15 with plenty of space; however, we experienced some inconveniences during our stay, which I think need to be spelled out for anyone interested in the future. The kitchen being located on the third floor (something we were aware of) was more difficult than we realized. Carrying groceries up the stairs as well as food down to the grill and back up to the kitchen wasn't desirable. The park grill was rusted through the bottom so luckily someone had left another charcoal grill we were able to clean, cover, and use; however, it had to stay on the ground floor. Only four chairs were located around the pool so we didn't hang out there much as a group of 15 and the only tables are those in the dining room (so no eating outside when grilling). Overall, the main inconvenience was the beach access. In looking at the photos, it seems as if we could just walk across the street and directly onto the beach...wrong. The hotel located across (which is actually more infront of this house than photos show), continually warned that we were trespassing on private property by using the stairs located in their parking lot. We then had to truck our things down several blocks to the public beach access in order to get to the beach. Having younger children and teens, we hoped to be back and forth a bit more from the beach with a more accessible access. The house was nice and clean, kitchen stocked well, and most rooms very spacious, just poorly layed out. This twins all being on the bottom floor meant that all children were on the 1st floor with the main door access and adults on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The wireless connection continued to be a problem and required calling the cable company several times to gain access. For the most part, everything was enjoyable with our stay and time here but when planning again, I would look for other housing possibilities. Read more

Thank you for your review of “Queen Anne’s”, and we are sorry you were unhappy with your accommodations. Many homes on the Outer Banks have a reverse floor plan with the living area and kitchen on the top floor to take advantage of the views. Please know that Resort Realty does offer rental homes with elevators. Also, we are in the process of adding aerial photos for all of our homes on our website, so that will help to locate the nearest beach access. The inconveniences you experienced with the home have been brought to the attention of the individual property owners and we hope you will vacation with Resort Realty again.

We had a wonderful week at Queen anne's. The house is well laid out, very comfortable, and had some nice extra's, like the ice maker. We loved the Friday turnover. The check-in and check-out procedures were easier than we have expereinced in prior years with other companies.

The house was great. I just have one suggestion and I understand why the current owners haven't done this (the house is for sale) a large screen tv in the main room on the third floor would help all view a show or movie. The location was great. house was neat and orderly. we had a wifi issue that we were able to correct ourselves after a few calls to the realty, who was very nice each time I called.
Good weather, big house with water problems

House was big and well furnished, however a water floor leak in basement prevented use of one bedroom for 4 days. Maintenance man moved beds and installed large fan dryer - all of this on the day of my son's wedding.
No adjustment of rental fee although bedroom was unusable and mildew smelling for 4 days.Left detailed evaluation at rental - no response. Would not recommend resort Realty.

The house was really nice. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and dinnerware, but in a disorganized way so items were difficult to locate. The inside of the refrigerator was a little beat up, making storage of food items a bit difficult. The ice machine was awesome!
The 2 bedrooms on the first floor smelled rather musty. Febreeze helped a little bit.
We had issues with going to the beach. We were told that we could access the beach by going through the parking lot of the hotel located across the street. We were informed by the hotel that that is not the case and needed to walk to the public beach access located about a block down the street. The hotel never said anything about returning from the beach through their parking lot.
That being said, it was near the beach, near the stores and attractions, the house was clean and in good repair. We would stay there again.

Layout of bedrooms and baths was nice. Very functional with little wasted space. Loved the Fri - Fri rental. Wish there more Fri rentals. It was the main reason we chose this cottage. A/C worked well. There were small ants in the kitchen. Not too bad but we did have to store everything in ziplock bags. The kitchen is not setup to cook for large groups. Pans too small and too few. Not enough silverware - this was our biggest problem. Post grill needs to be upgraded to gas. This would have made cooking much easier. Loved the icemaker. TV size was small - all the guys complained. Only one DVD player and that was in main living area. It would be nice to put one in the kids rooms. Also maybe add more TV's to bedrooms. Some of the interior doors had holes in them on the back side. When there are 2 or more showers running at one time there is absolutely no water pressure. It was a little walk to the beach and the beach was very crowded. Overall for the money it was okay but I will chose a different cottage for next year. Read more

This home is located in the heart of Nag's Head. Very short drive to restaurants. Very easy walk to the beach. Pool was ideally situated on the other side of driveway, totally enclosed with a privacy fence. Very secure for small children staying in the home. Had some compaints from those that did not have t.v.'s in bedrooms. Also kitchen could have been stocked better with appliances and gadgets. Otherwise, we enjoyed our week immensely.
I enjoyed my vacation in the house very much.

Resort Realty was great in helping reserve the house. I do feel that for the amount of money you pay for a house, it should be a little cleaner than it was and the living furniture should not be the worn out and ripped wicker. The kitchen floor was discusting. They need to use grease lightening on it to get it white again. Overall, I did enjoy my stay there with my new husband, son, three step-daughters and my mother. The kids loved the hot tub and the pool. The location was really great being a short walk to the public access to the beach. Nice size house where you cannot get in each others way!
