We really enjoyed our time at this home. The views of the sound and surrounding area was more than we anticipated. Not only did the home exceed our expectations the staff were very professional and more imporatly friendly. Great experience!!!

House was perfect, a wonderful view of the would was more than we could ask for.
The only negative was the house was very dusty, when we arrived foid was left in the oven and the dishwasher was not unloaded.
We called resort realty and they sent housekeeping right away to take care of it.

Nice views when the weather was bright, a couple of caveats
Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in August 2012 | Beachgoer
The house (back is pictured, front is totally obscured by trees) was all it claimed to be, but we found it dark (not enough lighting in the living area especially) at night as well as during the day (in fairness, our weather was gray all week which didn't help). Also, we ran out of hot water far too quickly (one long shower or two people taking short showers at once), which is not ideal in a beach house. This is our third time renting in OBX and the first time we did not have oceanfront accommodations. It is a big difference. The sound is not really usable except to look at, as it's pretty much marsh up to the shore. Pretty when the weather was nice, but not like the ocean.
As to the amenities of the house, there were games, which was nice, but a lot of things seemed to be worn. For example, the stereo kept skipping / repeating lines on the Cd's we put in (every few minutes somebody would have to push fast forward to the next song). Also, the cookware's nonstick coating was in terrible condition.
Service was okay. I called at 9am the morning after check-in to ask them to change 5-6 lights that were burnt out on property, including the outside light by the front door, a light in the already dark living room, and one of the only two lights in the kitchen. They did not come that day, so I called again the next morning. They came some time that afternoon and, while I was wrong about one of the two lights in the kitchen (it was actually hooked up to the switch next to the disposal and maybe didn't need replacement after all), they took their time about the others and did not even fix them all (the bunk bed room has just one of those light fixtures with the two bulbs and one was out, leaving the room darkish, and they didn't change that one, even though I asked and they were already changing other lights). Living room decor nice but kitchen and bathrooms dated. All in all, I would rate this place good (3 1/2 stars). Some nice features but not an upscale feel.

We had a great time, the location and the view is great.
House needs a better cleaning. Had a roach in the masterbath. Kitchen and appliances need to be cleaned.

Our family had an amazing time at Views for You! Our kids range from 22 to 12. Even though there were 6 of us - there was plenty of space. We had a great week reconnecting with our kids. I enjoyed mornings on the patio and my husband enjoyed fishing in the sound. It was great that the sleeping area was on a separate floor - especially since our teenagers enjoy sleeping in! There was great access to the beach via the beach club with a pool.

We loved being at this cottage the second week of June. Our son was in the hospital last year the same week so this was our escape to forget our horrible experience back home.
A couple of things, we were promised a grill, there was none, so we went and purchased a portable charcoal grill. Management has been notified. Cleaning leaves something to be desired. There were inches of dirt on the mini-blinds, the toilets were not as clean as they should be, floors in bathrooms and in kitchen needed a good mopping...they were sticky! Also, window decorations (slats) were all stored under the master bedroom's bed. Poor place to put these when you have a curious two year old boy running around the house. These would be better stored in a locked closet downstairs.
Overall, we loved the cottage, location, and views of sunsets were absolutely amazing. I ran daily in the neighborhood and adjacent neighborhoods and felt safe. We loved our stay and plan on returning next year. Read more

We could not have asked for a better stay. Our son was in the hospital (two year old) last year on this same week, so this was our escape to enjoy and try to forget about it.
Our one disappointment was there was no grill on the property when one was promised. I found the house to be clean, but not spic and span. There was enough dust on the mini blinds to start my own microbiology lab. The toilets also had mold under the rim. Under the master bed we found all the slates (decorative) for all the windows in the house. My two-year-old thought it was the best thing in the world to play with them. These should have been stored elsewhere.
Our stay was great other than these few items. I tried to get the rental company to reimburse us for purchasing a portable grill while we were there, they refused, which I don't understand when one was promised to us in the property description.
On a more positive note, the sunsets and sunrises were spectacular, and I enjoyed a morning run daily in the great subdivision. The cottage was convenient to many stores and restaurants, which made our stay great. We have not been to the OBX in over ten years and enjoyed our getaway. Thanks for a good time.

Loved the house. The sunsets were spectacular. Bed was very comfortable. Having access to a pool and Beach Club was an added benefit.

we were able to get back to whats important in this amazing property. We forgot about the world for a week and focused on our love and the family. The house was just perfect. The only thing that could of been improved upon was an earlier check in and a noon check out.

We enjoyed staying in this beach house but with these exception. 1) we were unable to bring our boat because the regulations did not allow us to park the boat in the driveway even though there was enough space, 2) the comforters and the couches were pretty smelly, 3) the branches along the driveway needed a very bad trimming which scratched our truck and 4) there were no trashcans in the bathrooms.
One of the best properties we have stayed at on the outer banks

Views for You is one of the best properties my wife and I have stayed at on the outer banks. It is very hard to find a property for a small family or couple that the furnishing are in good condition and the kitchen appliances do not look like they are from the 1970's. We would highly recommend.
The views from the deck are awesome.

Location was perfect and house was very nice and
clean. The blinds kept falling off the window.
We really enjoyed the community pool also.
We had early check in this year which made a big
The only downside is paying for early check in
otherwise you lose the whole day.
The AC on the 1st floor was a little tricky.
If you raised or lowered it, it would blow hot
air and tech had to be called. The Frig also
leaked water from the front and had to call service.
Great House with an Awesome View of the Sound
Left on 08/26/2009 for a stay in August 2009 | lccms
This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and we were completely satisfied with the house we rented (Views for You). The price was excellent for the quality of the House and the view of the Sound was absolutely awesome.
We arrived on a Saturday evening (after a long drive from PA) just in time to see the sun set on the Sound. It was breath taking and beautiful.
I'm not sure if we will return to the OB (because the drive is so long for us), but if we do, I would definitely choose this house again.
A week of splended views and relaxation.

Views for you was a lovely rental.? The view is magnificent.? The house was beautiful, well kept.Location was great for access to all areas of the Outer Banks.? We enjoyed the vacation.? Mosquitos were kind of a nuisance, take a lot of bug spray, otherwise PERFECT.? I wish this rental would've had a private pool, the community pool, extremely crowded and closed early. Beach access ok.

Beautiful home with all that any family could need. The views from the deck in the morning were worth getting up early for. The sunsets were indescribable. The master bedroom was big enough to have a party. With the bedrooms on the second floor and the living, dining and kitchen area on the third anyone that wanted to sleep in was not disturbed. The beach and pool were excellent. I would recommend this house to anyone.

My family had a great week in this home the last week of August. The only problem was it went by too fast. The view is really nice of the bay. The shuttle bus will take you to the pool or beach whenever you want them to come. Had fun catching crabs with the kids.
Awesome views and quiet, peaceful setting.

The house is clean and beautifully decorated. The deck facing the Sound offers amazing sunsets. We enjoyed perfect weather during our stay at the house and spent every evening on the deck watching the incredible show! The soundside area is peaceful and quiet -- by far our most relaxing vacation ever!
