The house was very clean. There were only a couple of things we did not like. First, there was only one way to get to the pool area from inside the house. It would have been nice if from the deck on the second floor there were steps leading to the pool area. Also there was only one way to get the fenced in area for the dogs. You had to go thru poison ivy to get there. We called and complained and no one came to clean it up. The only other problem we had was the dryer did not work. It was fixed within a day.

The house was well stocked. We didn't receive a welcome package this year like in previous stays. The hot tub Jets didn't work but everything else was really nice. We love the outer banks and will return.

My family and I loved the house. It was extremely spacious and well-apportioned (we have never stayed in a house with an elevator before), however, the proximity to the highway was sometimes loud and unpleasant while outside on the deck or with windows open. Several of the bathrooms did not have toilet paper, most did not have soap, and the first floor bunk beds did not have sheets. There was a problem with the heated pool at one point, but we called and this was literally fixed within a half hour.

Our family had a wonderful time staying here. The only thing that needs to be improved is new mattresses in some of the rooms. They make alot of noise when you move. The housecleaner could do a better job cleaning. We noticed dust on lamp shades, ceiling fans, vents, light fixtures. Time for a good pressure wash on the outside house.

We have stayed in this home before. But this time there was moderate water damage, mold issues. The largest cockroaches I have ever seen in the kitchen. The lower level has stains on carpet and smelled like urine/mold. I did not feel comfortable having my children sleep in this room. The furniture was uncomfortable and the beds were very noisy and uncomfortable. Not the owner's fault but the housekeeping was poor. There were large cobwebs and the bathrooms were not very clean. We expect when paying this much for a vacation rental to have a home at least as nice as what our normal home is.

The weather was perfect and the house was a nice size, but the beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on, and I've rented houses for years! :( The living room furniture was also dirty and worn. Otherwise I had a pleasant vacation.

Where should I begin...had to have housekeeping come the first hour we were there (food under couch cushions, black gunk in jets in tub, etc),elevator didn't work until Monday, pool pump went bad Sunday evening and screeched to the point we couldn't hear each other and disturbed neighbors..wasn't fixed until Wed. afternoon, water dripped through light fixture in game room..never was fixed, beds uncomfortable and squeaky. It appears housekeeping only surface cleans. Overall layout of the house was nice. Very nice, quiet neighborhood. House was very easy to find. Seaside Vacations staff was very friendly, and although they were apologetic about the issues we had, they never returned my call from the following Monday when I returned and requested management to call me. I have stayed in many beachhouses, and this is by far the worst one I have ever stayed at.

That's, unfortunately, normal wear and tear. The water mark from the water was dry upon inspection, and therefore addressed after your departure so you weren't inconvenienced.

Disappointing conditions

The house itself was nicely laid out for larger groups. Pool was decent a bit small for large groups. It is quite a walk to get to community access to the beach. Volleyball court was unplayable due to weeds and holes with rocks. Pool furniture was in dis-repair and uneven legs rusted out this made some chairs unuseable. Beds were absolutely horrible we felt every spring in the mattress. Couch and chairs in main living room are really run down and in need of repair. Carpet in lower level needs replaced badly. Seaside Realty responded quickly to any issue we had removing the chairs that were unsafe around the pool and replacing a decfective TV in one bed room. House was marginally clean and looked like it had just been run down for repairs. Landscaping company came and took care of branches and limbs hanging over privacy fence ancd cleaned pool deck and driveway which had been covered in pine needles. The house itself is not bad it just needs updates to the furniture especially mattresses.

Do not pay extra monies to have the pool heated. We were in this home for a week and the pool tempenture did not go above 72 degrees the entire time. The maintenance & office staff were top notch when responding to our many complaints about the pool heat but were unable to adjust the heat higher because it is electric heat. We were unable to use the pool after sunset due to the tempenture.
The home itself was very nice. Great family neighborhood very secure & safe for families. The homes backyard backs directly up to the main 4 lane highway which is very loud when trying to sleep in. We would definitely move one street closer to beach & away from highway due to the noise on ou next visit. Home very nice elevator and extra bonus. This was the first home we stayed in that did not provide any bikes, chairs, umbrellas and sand toys. I would recommend this home if you do not need a heated pool. The management company was one of the best we have dealt with to date. -

The home was wonderful. We loved the location being close to everything. Having a keyless entry was great especially after shopping. The private heated pool and hot tub were conveniet to use at any time of the day. We really liked that the pool door could not be reached by our five year old. The elevator was very nice to have on move in and move out day. Having a private bathroom for every bedroom was an added bonus. The house was large enough that everyone could spread out and play pool, watch tv, swim or just take a nap. We really would like to rent here again.

Just wanted to leave a few positive comments on our stay there. We loved the house-- had 17 people in it and we were all very comfortable. Linens provided was a huge added bonus. The pool was so nice after a long day at the beach. The staff at Seaside was very accomadating.We had a few minor issues and they had someone out to help us w/ in the hour. Noise outside was a bit loud, but not unbearable. Neighborhood was quiet and clean. The elevator was very handy when unloading after arrival then packing up again at the end of the week. All in all, our stay was awesome and we would love to go back again. One downside to the trip was the traffic coming into town on a Saturday afternoon unbearable!! Get in early and hang out somewhere instead of arriving at 3 to check in. Our 5 hour drive took about 8. Thanks for the beautiful house to hold our family vacation

Great house for the money. It was really nice to have the elevator to carry things to the upper floors. Nice quite neighborhood located in the center of the Outer Banks. Area pretty built up as far as shoppng but sub divison still felt secluded and close to the beach. We did have acouple of minr house issues but Seaside was totally on top of it and resolved quickly.

Three Generations Under One Roof

The spacing of the bedrooms allowed Grandpa and me to enjoy the grandchildren and still have the quiet we are used to after years of living in an "empty nest". The amenties of an elevator, swimming pool, and computer connection were able to give us all something to make the stay more pleasant. The kitchen had everything we could have asked for to enjoy family sit down dinners.

This is the second year we have stayed at Isabel's and we couldn't be more satisfied. The house is clean and maintained well. The neighborhood is quiet except for the highway noise (only noticable when you are outside at the pool).
My 80's something parents vacation with us and the elevator is great for them. It also helps with move-in and move-out.

After reviewing a number of homes in the Nags Head and Corolla area, we picked Isabel's Hacienda for several factors:
-dog friendly
-relatively near the beach (five block walk)
-heated pool and hot tube (need that in March)
-beautifully appointed home (the pictures don't do it justice)
-ample space for kids to play
-fun amenities like Foosball and billiards table and volleyball court were a big plus!
When we arrived, we were also pleasantly surprised to find an elevator, which alleviated our having to carry groceries and heavy luggage up four levels in a narrow, winding stair case! Each floor has both front and back decking that allows for outdoor enjoyment.
The only item we would change about the week we stayed at Isabella's Hacienda, is the level or road noise. The property backs to Hwy 158, where there is constant traffic. Without a doubt, we will be giving SeaSide Vacations a call again and again.Response from Seaside Vacations* - 04/20/2010

Isabel's is a nice place for a family vacation. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us to enjoy our vacation. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing.
The house back to the Bypass and can get very noisy in the backyard. Also there is no lanscaping and the outside perimeter area are unfinished which disappointed my wife.
Our major hiccup was housekeeping. The house was horribly uncleaned prior to our check in. Everything from dirty blankets and sheets, un vacuumed floors, food in bedrooms, dirty bathrooms, moldy shower curtains, missing light bulbs.... They claimed the house was cleaned and inspected, NOT. I went back to the office the next morning, and they dispatched a real cleaning crew who fixed most of the problems.
Overall a good value, beyond the initial issues.

We really enjoyed the home, it had all the amenities we needed, and is close to activities and things to do at night. We like to be able to walk to the beach, but this home was too far to walk with all the beach gear needed, plus we had 9 kids under the age of 13. We drove to the public access area each day to be able to bring everything we wanted, i.e. chairs, umbrella, cooler, toys, etc. The only issue with the home itself was the housekeeping. Upon arrival, it was not as clean as other homes we have rented in
OBX. If this house were closer to the beach we would be repeat renters. -

Isabel's Hacienda was a wonderful place for our family vacation. There was plenty of space for everyone (extra beds actually)and it was just like new. Very clean. Great decor. The pool, hot tub,
and volley ball court were perfect. Pool area well equipped with chairs, lounge chairs, floats. The elevator was quiet and came in handy.

Down side-it's a bit of a walk to the beach with a little one.
We rented umbrellas and chairs in advance because we didn't know if this would be available. In fact, an umbrella and chairs as well as a boogie board were there. It would have been nice had we known this in advance. We also rented a "beach buggy" (wheelbarrow) to help us cart our load to the beach.
Some of our crew took advantage of the free surfing lessons and enjoyed it. The other place was too far away to be practical.
It really was a wonderful place to stay-this was our first trip to the area. Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The only issue we ran into was with the pool heat. We were told during check in there was nothing we had to do to turn on the pool heat, it was already done. However, the heat was not on. I called and was told, it was fine. We finally took a look ourselves, and found that the switch was never turned to on, it was off the who weekend. The pool finally was warm the day we checked out.

Our stay at Isabel's Hacienda was one of the best vacations we can remember. The rental home was everything we could possibly hope for, and more. We look forward to many more years of going back to this destination and this particular house. Everyone's needs were accounted for. The elevator was perfect for our elderly parents, the game room, pool area and volleyball court were well used by our children and the huge dinning room table was used by all. We were more then pleased by everything and it helped to make our vacation a very special event.

We have stayed in this property in the past and love the things this home offers us on our vacation. We will definately stay here again in 2009.
All in all, we love this property and will continue to rent as long as it fits the vacation budget.
Thanks to Seaside Vacations for years of OBX vacation enjoyment!!! You can't beat a Seaside vacation home for sure! The linens and towels being included is a huge PLUS, makes it less you have to bring and take back!! Thank you again to Jennifer at Seaside for her great assistance. Jennifer made the process smooth and easy. Its very obvious that Jennifer knows her stuff!!

We've stayed at other Seaside Realty Rentals in the past and have always been enjoyed working with the staff. They are very quick to help before and during the visit (we've never needed help after).
We stayed at another Seaside property last year (2007) and preferred that one to this one. The pool here was smaller and the pool table wasn't very good. We also didn't like having a bedroom on the kitchen/great room level.
But overall, we love the location, the house was clean and the elevator really came in handy after trips to the grocery store! -

WOW!
It was me and a 9 of my closest friends at the house. We had a blast. Close to the beach, close to the highway, great neighbors, a time not to be missed. The house was clean, well stocked, and the people at the office were nice and helpful. The only down side was the grill, but we rented a more manly one and it worked out just fine. I hope to get a house that is just as good next year!
