This beachfront home situated in South Nags Head is a warm and lovely vacation retreat! Views of the ocean and the quaint Outer Banks Fishing Pier and even the sound and sunsets, along with a gorgeous wide and nearly private beach help to make this one of our favorite repeat houses. There are many amenities, indoor and out and the decks and swing and hammock are the perfect places to contemplate the next activity or to just relax and nourish the mind, body and spirit! The location on this stretch of the Outer Banks is the best: The National Seashore, walking and biking and dunes and no congestion but only steps and minutes away from everything else OBX offers! In addition, the owners of El Sueno and the staff of SeaSide Vacations are responsive and helpful and go above and beyond everyone else in the area! Thank you to those of you with whom I spoke...your work was much appreciated! Yikes, I certainly wish I were there right now!

The house was in a great location. Right on the beach. The house was clean the the layout was convenient. The furniture seemed fairly new and in good shape. We had a wonderful time.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our vist at El Sueno - excellent accomodations, well furnished, great location. Espcially liked the pool room and the loft room which allows our many family members their own space during some ot the rainy days. Was disappointed in maintenance however. After calling them (on Thursday) about a sink where the drain had to be manually opened and shut, they came and disconnected it, so the sink didn't work. Plumber never showed, not did handyman return as promised. Not a relection on the house itself - we will stay there agin, but on the maintenance support.

We had a wonderful time at El Sueno for the second year. Tropoical storm alberto threatened to rain on our week, but went out to sea Sunday night. We shopped alot and a couple of the guys went golfing. We ate at the Colington Cafe on the recommendation of the Bakers and were very pleased, the food, service and the atsmophere was outstanding. Looking forward to returning next year.

We think this is the nicest house on the beach with many amenities, great access to the beach, and good location near the pier. We thought housekeeping could have done a better job in cleaning before we got there, but they were responsive to our calls.

We all had an excellent time at El Sueno. There were 4 generations of our family here. The owners of this home thought of everything to make their guest feel at home. Sunrises on the deck with a cup of coffee were magnificent. The hot tub and hammock swing were enjoyed by all. The views of the ocean were beautiful. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

We stayed at El Sueno and absolutely loved it!
Main Highlights:
1. The views could not have been better, especially from the living room, which is basically a full wall of windows.
2. Boardwalk led directly to the beach off of the main living level. Loved being able to "run" back into the house for food, potty breaks, etc..
3. Kids loved the Pool table!
4. Tv's in every room, living room had new 52" flat screen.
5. Only 10 or so houses down from the Nags Head Pier. We walked there every night.
6. Beach is really nice. At high tide there is not much of a beach, but at low tide, it is nice and wide. Able to find lots of seashells.
There were lots more great things, but basically we highly recommend this house! I spoke with the owner directly before renting, and he was so nice!

This is the 4th summer we have returned to this house. It is ideal for our family accomodation wise. Being directly on the beach is perfect for the 5 grandchildren. The house is large enough for the children to play and the adults to have their privacy. El Sueno is well equipped, furnished nicely and everything is always in working order. Gigi from the rental office is great to work with. Already looking forward to next year's vacation.

The Seaside Vacations staff were not too friendly, so we got off to a rocky start. But the house itself was excellent. It was well-stocked, clean and with modern furniture and appliances. And of course its best feature was the ocean-front views. Clearly the owners of the house take pride in it, and it showed. Exterior needed some minor maintanance, but overall the house was in excellent shape. Even when we had a problem (broken door knob), the maintanace staff showed up within a few hours to fix. Overall would recommend "El Sueno"!

This is our ninth year at El Sueno and we find that the amenities provided in the house contribute to our wonderful stay in Nags head. From the pool room, to the DVDs available, to the bicycles, to the hot tub. We find Seaside Vacations very responsive to the things that aren't quite right. This year they were there immediately to repair the door lock, and back subsequently to see about replacing it. That said, we are disappointed that the disposal has been removed, that the taped window in the loft had not been repaired, and that the balcony from the loft for the second year is not useable. We notice deterioration in the house, side doors, hot tub exterior, etc and we hope the owners will continue to maintain this wonderful vacation home.

In response to some of your concerns, the owner made some great updates.
1. The disposal was removed because the city of Nags Head said that we shouldn't have a garbage disposal with a septic system..
2. The window that was taped because of damage was replaced. (it took several months because it was custom made)
3. The loft balcony was completely rebuilt this winter and is now open as before.
4. Replaced all the steel doors with fiberglass doors (salt air is hard on steel)
5. A new hot tub cover was installed to replace the worn one.

we've stayed at this property for the last 7 yrs, and we love it. its in an ideal location for us, with full access to the beach. when we decide to stay in we always play billiards, get in the hot tub,watch movies that we bring or movies from the well stocked library already on the premise. we had 2 concerns that we reported on surbey sheet that we turned into office. 1)the sofa has seen its better days, and the pillows in the bedroom off the kitchen were flat and very uncomfortable. we had to go out and buy our own after the first night stay.

El Sueno is in a great location with a relatively quiet beach and not too far from groceries and dining. The layout worked well for us. We had two families and one set of grandparents, so the bedroom layout was great. The little loft off the main living area was a great space for our kids to play in view and ear-shot of the adults. The bathrooms were modern and clean. The furnishings were nice, including the ample kitchen supplies (we cooked almost every night). The beach access was great, but the outdoor shower and fish-cleaning station could use some attention (it was cluttered and a little "icky"). However, we loved having the boogie boards and bikes available and the hammock for naps. We also found the hot tub relaxing and clean. Overall, this was a great vacation home that we plan to come back to.

Our stay at El Sueno was great! We had five couples, one with a child, and a single adult. The layout of the house was perfect, we never felt cramped. The house was clean upon our arrival and everything worked. This house was close to everything but maintained a quiet residential feeling. The hammock and deck swing were great for naps. The hot tub worked great, but needs to be updated. El Sueno was an absolutly perfect house for our weeklong stay.
