    Additional Location Information

    The Phuket Island Region

PHUKET with its beautiful beaches and idyllic offshore islands, enjoys all year round temperatures of between 26 and 36 degrees, making it ideal for enjoying the many activities 12 months of the year. The rainy season (Summer Season), runs from May until the end of October, with the last 2 months having the most rainfall. However, even in the Summer Season there are still long periods of sunshine each day. The Summer Season is a nice time to visit Phuket as it is quieter, and the weather can still be glorious!

PHUKET - things to do and places to go

GOLFING: Phuket has many first class courses with standards of facilities undreamed of elsewhere. Caddies are provided at all courses, and green fees are surprisingly low.

SAILING: with so many interesting islands offshore, and warm sea temperatures all year round - what sailing enthusiast could resist? Why not try a SUNSET CRUISE?

CANOE ADVENTURES: in Phang Nga Bay, you can have a fabulous Day Trip out, exploring the mysterious landlocked lagoons, hidden away right inside some of the islands in the bay! A Guide will help you navigate your canoe through narrow passages and small caves. A great day out!

BAMBOO RAFTING or WHITE WATER RAFTING - Fabulous adventures

KHAO SOK NATIONAL PARK - a pristine Tropical Rainforest surrounded by stunning limestone Karsts. A good variety of tours available, from a 1 day tour, to a 3 days and 2 nights tour.

ZOO AND AQUARIUM - both the Zoo and Aquarium are interesting and fun trips out. The kids will love the Elephant Show, the Monkey Show and the Crocodile Show!

PHUKET TOWN - is like a mini Bangkok and fascinating. We have detailed a 2 hour Walk which takes you around the Market, Chinese Temples, old colonial-style Mansions, and the heart of the Chinese Quarter. We've suggested a good Restaurant for lunch too, up on the hill overlooking Phuket town & out to sea!

PATONG - Patong is famous for its beach with every type of water sports, but possibly more famous for it's outrageous nightlife! Take a late night stroll through the busy streets and you're sure to see some of the "beautiful" Lady Boys! Good for shopping too!

TEMPLES - Phuket has many Temples, but the largest and most important is Wat Chalong - only a 15 minute drive away, and well worth a visit. On the way you could also visit the huge Buddha which is in the middle of construction, high up on a hill overlooking almost all of Phuket. It's quite a sight!

TEMPLE TOUR - We have put together a Tour which takes you to two fascinating Temples in Phang Nga - one is right inside a cave and the other is set on top of a mountain. It is a full day out, and great fun.

PHUKET FANTASEA - the ultimate Night-time Entertainment on Phuket Island, which is sure to delight the whole family! A breathtaking Las Vegas-style Theatrical Show, with state-of-the-art Special Effects!

PHUKET IS WELL PLACED FOR VISITS FURTHER AFIELD - with excellent local Airlines, busses and trains:-
    * BANGKOK is definitely on the "must do" list - with endless places to visit, including The Grand Palace, The Floating Market, River Cruises and much more.
    * CHANG MAI in the North, with trips to see the Hill Tribes, and the famous Golden Triangle where Thailand, Burma and Laos all meet.
    * ANGKOR WAT in Cambodia - a very interesting and historical site with many Temples.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++
    RAWAI & NAI HAAN
RESTAURANTS - We have many really good Restaurants close by, some within easy walking distance. You will find a list of all our favourites in your Villa. Two of our favourites do an excellent (free) Delivery Service to all our Villas - great for enjoying on your outside Dining Patio - and one or two others do a free "pick up from your Villa" service! We also have many other excellent Restaurants & Bars within easy walking distance.

PROMTHEP CAPE - just a 5 minute drive away, has stunning views, and is a perfect spot to watch the fabulous sunsets.

MASSAGE - Massage Salons and Spas are very popular in Thailand, and a great way to unwind and relax. You can even enjoy a Massage in the privacy of your Villa/Studio.

    THE NEARBY BEACHES & ISLANDS
NAI HAAN BEACH is great for swimming and snorkeling!
RAWAI BEACH is the place to catch a Longtail Boat out to the many offshore islands.
BON ISLAND, CORAL ISLAND & RACHA ISLANDS are all just a short boatrip away, with superb beaches, great snorkeling and lovely beachside Restaurants
PHI PHI ISLAND - Thailand's Jewel in the Crown - These islands are what dreams are made of. Visit beautiful MAYA BAY where "The Beach" was filmed. Make it a mini adventure and stay overnight at one of the Bungalow Resorts right on the beach. You can catch a Ferry from Phuket Town (approx 3 hours), or take a Speedboat from Rawai Beach (approx 30 mins).

KATA, KARON & PATONG BEACHES are much busier than Rawai or Nai Haan, but have lots of exciting Watersports - for instance Jet Skies, Paragliding, Water Ski-ing and Windsurfing.

SHOPPING - there are many small grocery shops and banks etc locally within easy walking distance, or a 20 minute drive will take you to the larger Shopping Malls near Phuket Town, or the fabulous new shopping centre, Jungceylon in Patong.

DIVING AND SNORKELLING: The Andaman Sea has some of the best dive sites in the world, including the prestine SMILIAN ISLANDS. There are many PADI DIVE SCHOOLS nearby, with fees far lower than found in most other countries. We can even arrange a "Free First Lesson" for you to try out this exciting sport!

ELEPHANT RIDING or HORSE RIDING - It's great fun to visit the elephants and go on a trek up in the mountains near Rawai. The views are great too! Or how about a gallop on horseback along a Beach!

PLUS, nearby we also have Go Carts, Shooting, Atv's, Gyms and Sports Centres

THAI CUISINE - Thai food is renowned for its quality and diversity and for being as much a feast for the eyes as for the stomach! COOKERY CLASSES are held locally too, so why not learn how to cook your favourite dish so you can enjoy it back home?

THAI PEOPLE - there are so many good things to be said about Thailand, and the local Thai people are definitely to be included on the list. Always friendly, always smiling - a joy to get to know.

A wonderful time in a wonderful place

Left on 01/25/2013 for a stay in January 2013

I found this villa and the one we rented next to it on trip advisor and I have to say I was a little worried upon arriving as I did not see them first hand before renting them.
But I have to admit that the helpfulness of the staff who quickly respond to you emails for whatever question you have is really comforting.
As we arrived on a saturday afternoon the staff had arranged for us a luxury minivan for the transfer from the airport for a price even cheaper than some taxis would have charged you at the exit of phuket's airport ! It's a very appreciated service.
About this villa I have to say I was very very happy it was beyond what I expected. We were warmly welcomed by Phil who showed us around the house and all the aminities they arranged so we wouldn't have to run to the supermarket upon arrival (food, drinks...)
The villa is very well equiped and spacious, the pool is sunny in the morning which is great as it is way to hot in the afternoon in january to stay in the sun too long.
The two studios were more than appreciated by my mom in law and aunt who could have rested peacefully and not being disturbed by my nieces in the morning.
Phil, Chris and their team are very helpful to any enquiries you may have before, during and even after the stay.
So I do recommend it here and will definitly come back asap.

Great to have our own pool to relax in.
We loved the quite location, a great place to relax away from the noiser areas of phuket. Nai Harn beach was one of the nicest we saw.
Would recommend hiring a scooter for the duration of your stay, chris etc are happy to help organise.

      Must go again asap

Left on 12/16/2010 for a stay in December 2010

We visited Coconut Paradise at the beginning of December 2010. When I arrived Phil was already waiting at the villa for our arrival. He ran through all the islands delights and also supplied a brochure with all the information in plus contact details in which saved us alot of time.
We pre organised our car which was also waiting for us at the villa.
Nothing was ever to much trouble and they always made themselves available at any time.
The villa itself was in a lovely location and slightly away from the main tourist steam, but close enough if you wanted to sample the lively nightlife of Patong. I found the villa to be very clean in an intimate private surrounding, they even managed to get the pool to the perfect temperature. My only complaint is that my visit was not long enough which is why were hopefully going back in 2011. Thank you Coconut paradise

      A Villa of our own

Left on 12/03/2010 for a stay in November 2010

We choose Coconut Paradise for its good reviews and Rawai location. Sue and Phil were able to accomodate our party of 4 adults, 1-20 year old and a 5 year old. The place is as it was in the website pictures. Frankly we could've hung out all week at the private villa pool and be happy. If you do want to expore the island and the near by Nai Harn beach, a car is recommended. Otherwise Sue and Phil's recommended tour guide Pla was great! She even volunteered on her own time to take us to an out of the way restuarant in the midst of the sea.The massage therapists we had from their list of recommended therapist were also great! Food and little grocery store is 5 minutes walk away and if you didn't feel like going out - take out was another option provided. If adventurous, right out side of the small lane are street vendor for BBQ pork on a stick and the corner store where the lady makes great thai breakfast of minced pork congee. We are definitely looking forward to a trip back!

      Perfect family holiday

Left on 10/15/2010 for a stay in February 2010

We have just returned from a wonderful 8 nights in Coral Island Villa. The villas are in a great location between Rawai and Nai Harn beach - an unspoilt corner of Phuket. It provided ideal accomodation for our young family with everything we needed to prepare food for our baby, while our 2 year old adored the pool which had plenty of shade in the afternoons. The villas are modern and clean, my only slight grumble is the hard mattresses found everywhere in Thailand !
The owners Sue and Phil were extremely helpful and friendly, providing us with information about the local area - we enjoyed the elephant ride and many of their restaurant recommendations. They kindly organised car hire for us and a day excursion for my father and his wife. Having a massage in the privacy of our villa was also fantastic and their local tailor did a great job of some made to measure clothes!
      We will definitely return!!

      Family Celebration at Coconut Paradise

Left on 05/12/2010 for a stay in April 2010

“Volcanoes, Civil unrest, Riots & delayed flights …………..could not stop us from coming to “Paradise”! Arriving at midnight – Sue & Philip were here to greet us ……. beyond the call ……..showed us around and settled us in after a grueling 26 hours travelling!
After a good nights sleep – Sue & Philip gave us a conducted tour of the delights to come. We had booked ALL the villas – 23 adults and 3 children! As Birthday Parties go (celebrating 3 Birthdays!!!), what a corker, made all the more enjoyable with the help, organization and recommendations of Sue & Philip. Dramas, excitement etc all taken in their stride, made it one of the most memorable 60th birthday parties ever!!!
If we have any criticisms – there was so much choice of good things to do and so little time ……..
We visited from all around the world ……. New York; Perth, Australia; Sydney, Australia; Singapore; Samoa; Shropshire, UK, Manchester, UK; and London, UK. Some for the first time, and all went away with Happy Memories.
We had so many highlights it would fill the rest of this book, suffice to say, we did it all! Canoeing in Phang Nga Bay, Elephant Trekking (what a (ma) hoot!). Go to Bon Island and meet Dawn – that is a wonderful day out ……. Coconut Pina Coladas and great food!
Music night at Friendship Beach – Sue booked us a fantastic table ……. what a groover Sue………..dancing the night away!
A great holiday and if we don’t come back – I’ll eat my hat, coat and trousers!
Sue & Philip – you made a great holiday fantastic – thank you, thank you, thank you.
      We will return.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Cocunut Paradise. We stayed in little Coconut1 which was clean , tidy and very comfortable for a couple. Our studio looked out on a lovely pool and garden which was lit at night.Sue and Phil were welcoming and helpful. Big things come in small packages

Left on 09/18/2009 for a stay in September 2009

The villa itself was just what we needed. Air-conditioned, clean and located next to a fantastic pool, which is particularly enjoyable at night. It is in a quiet location, within walking distance of the seaside village of Rawai, where most the restaurants are located, and the beach of Nai Harn. Both are lovely locations and away from the noisyness of typical Thai holidays but there is still enough to do. Although the beaches are not really for swimming on Rawai beach itself you can get a boat to one of the many beautiful islands surrounding Thailand. These are well worth the trip and are relatively inexpensive. The tour, provided by the lovely hosts, Philip and Sue, is extremily useful and their suggestions of restaurants should be acknowledged. We suggest renting scooters to get around since they are cheap (around ?3 per day) and walking any distance in that heat is horrible.
