Guests are surprised and amazed at the spectacular Nanaimo views that await them from the moment they step into their inviting Nanaimo Bed and Breakfast.

Three hundred feet below is the sight of Departure Bay with BC Ferries sharing the waters with Harbour Air seaplanes, sailboats, fishing boats, kayakers, and pleasure boaters in Nanaimo, B.C.

And a short distance behind the Bed and Breakfast (B and B) is the beautiful Linley Valley with a labyrinth of fairy tale west coast hiking trails and views on Vancouver Island.

Neil a...nd Vivian have retired from almost three decades of airline and restaurant businesses and invite you to their Nanaimo Bed and Breakfast to share the ambiance of their dream home in Nanaimo, BC, Vancouver Island.

This Nanaimo Bed and Breakfast has wrap around views of the harbour and islands are balanced with homey ambiance created by four fireplaces, formal living area, guest floor which has its own West Coast theme lounge, bar area and billiard table.

The Bed and Breakfast (B and B) also has three decks available for guest use, including a private deck off the Pacific Room, a deck with Jacuzzi tub and view off of the billiard room, and a deck for el fresco dining, weather permitting, off the kitchen area.

Breakfast is served in formal dining room featuring delicious home cooking. For the business traveler, there is high speed internet, fax, copy machines available. For traveling comfort we also have laundry facilities available for our guests.

Check in time is 4:00 to 6:30 pm.

Chandelier Room

This room has a luxury queen size bed with an allergy free duvet and pillows. Down filled pillows supplied on request.

The large Chandelier sets the mood for this romantic Bed and Breakfast in Nanaimo. Curl up with a book on the wing back chair and ottoman and enjoy the view out the window.

Cotton waffle robes hang in the closet for guest use. This room is joined by a large en suite featuring soaker tub, separate shower and separate toilet. Fresh flowers and exquisite bath products are supplied. Hair dryers are installed in all bathrooms.

Harbour Room

Newly completed Harbour Room is a private suite that includes a sitting area with gas burning fireplace with built in T.V..

This area has also a hostess bar with sink, microwave and bar fridge with bottled water, juices, tea, coffee and microwave popcorn. Curl up on the loveseat with a good book or work at the desk with internet connections.

The bath has a deep tub and a gentle rain shower - lovely spa products include shower gel, exfoliating gloves, lavender bath salts and shampoo and conditioners. From the queensize bed you can look out over the harbour.

Guests once remarked sitting on the deck of the Flying Cloud that it reminded them of the Amalfi coastline - Nanaimo is beautiful in summer with its deep harbour, hilly residential area, mountains in the background and smaller islands dotting the marine basin. Flying Cloud is nestled 300 feet above seal level and with ocean views in front and the Linley valley out back with the deer that are part of the neighborhood. Eight minutes to downtown where the small old city center named one of the prettiest streets in Canada. Shops, restaurants, galleries and theater the core of this area. Seaplanes land in front of these buildings - a short 12 minute ride from downtown Vancouver or the International airport. Parks and hikes all within this area - Bowen park with the Millstone river running through it and Beban park with many recreational facilities for family - swimming, skating, golf, fitness tracks, outdoor fields. Something for everyone!

Family package for families only - no 135 night stays for couples - voids the family package as they share bathroom with children's room

Family Package

We have two rooms for families with a shared bathroom. One room for parents is called The Pacific and for children, Goldilocks.

The Pacific Room is a queensize bedroom with outside deck overlooking the harbour. There is a desk with chair opposite the bed and internet access. There is a designated bathroom located down the hall outside of the Goldilocks Room. Both the Goldilocks and the Pacific Room share a bathroom and is intended for one family group only. The Pacific Room is 125 per night.
The rate is $135.00 and $50.00 per night per child eight years of age and older. Taxes are included.
