The home is situated on a large corner lot in an established and very friendly upscale development in prestigious North Nanaimo and is within minutes of beaches, parks, shops, malls etc & everything that this vibrant city has to offer. Nanaimo is also ideally situated for exploring the island.
Within 5/10 minutes walking distance from "the Boardwalk on Rutherford" a cluster of rustic shops and businesses including an Artisan Bakery, a Korean Tea House and Restaurant, a Craft and Gift shop, a Hairdressers and Day Spa etc etc.

Rental fees
- Extra Person surcharge - $0 / person - Per-Person Adjustment - for 7th and 8th person, charged per person per night or per week. i.e $20.00 per person per night or $125.00 per person per week (Under 12 years No Charge, 12/17 years charged at Half additional person rate i.e $10.00 per night or $60.00 per week) Maximum occupancy 8 + 2 under 5 (to occupy travel cot and toddler bed or similar)so 10 in total.
- Security/Damage Deposit - $485 / stay - Security Deposit - Payable on arrival either by cash or cheque.

**Please be advised that booking in the High Season (mid June to mid September are a 7 night minimum with preferably a Saturday change over day.
NO EXTRA CHARGES ARE MADE TO GUESTS FOR CLEANING IT IS ASKED THAT YOU LEAVE THE PROPERTY IN A CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION, SHOULD EXCESSIVE CLEANING BE REQUIRED THEN A PORTION OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL BE CHARGED FOR THIS PURPOSE.
A Deposit of 50% is required when booking and the balance plus security deposit no later than 30 days prior to the commencement of your stay.
Cancellation Policy.
For cancellations more than 90 days from dates a full refund of the deposit (less $50.00 cancellation fee) will be made.
For cancellations less than 90 but more than 30 days from dates the deposit will be refunded (less one nights rental).
For cancellations 30 days or less from dates the deposit is only refundable in the event of the property being re-booked for the dates in question or at the discretion of the owner.
Travel insurance is advised.
Be advised that any additional charges incurred will be deducted before any deposit is returned.
The Security Deposit will be returned within 10 - 14 days depending on conditions found in property on inspection.
The rates are for up to 6 persons (maximum occupancy is 8 + 2 under 5's) there is an additional charge made for the 7th and 8th person. This charge is $125.00 per person per week, or $20.00 per person per night. Under 12 years there is no charge, 12 to 17 charged at half rate i.e. $62.50 per week or $10.00 per night (18 and over charged as adult)

Thank you Marilyn we had an excellent time it was a great place for our family to use for my Grandaughters wedding shich was at Pipers Lagoon which is so close to GeorgiaView.
It was also to be able to have the suite so my son,daughter in law and grandchildren were able to be with us.
Sorry I had to leave before I got to thank you in person but you do have a beautiful place and everything that is provided was absolutely perfect.
Also we really appreciate the extra you went through to accomodate our motorhome it made our stay awesome.

After having to call to find the correct address for the property, it was barely ready in time for our arrival.
The managers are the owners and live down stairs in a separate studio which was not made apparent at the time of the rental. They insisted on a $500USD cash deposit for the rental which we were barely able to come up with on move in. However, there was never any contact with the owners to see how we were doing or if there was anything they could help with. Lousy hosts. In fact, I called them mid week to let them know we would be leaving early on our final day and wanted to arrange a checkout inspection and return of our cash deposit. They said they would call back but never did, so I recontacted them and was again told to expect a return call regarding check out, which agian never occured. I eventaully had to go down to their studio and insist they come over to discuss the deposit and arrange for an inspection. My deposit was eventually returned but it was quite difficult to have a conversation with these so called hosts.
In other homes I have rented, the owners have always had a nice basket or book for optional tourist activities for the area. Nothing like this was avaialble here.
The kitchen was nice but had very cheap cutting knives and the only cutting service was a marble cutting board. Not the home of some one who cooks.
And in the bathrooms there was not a single towel bar to be found. No where to hang wet towels.
Also, no screens on most windows and only one celing fan in the master bedroom. Hot weather, which may be unusual in Nanaimo was uncomfortable. No aC either.
Not a tourist vacation home from my point of view. -

This was a perfect home for our family vacation with our three grown children and their families.
Marilyn met us when we arrived (and when we departed) and was attentive to our needs. She provided extra beds for the baby and 3 year old.
The view of the Georgia Strait from the home was lovely. There was a neighborhood park nearby for our granddaughter.
The gas fireplace gave a cozy ambience!
The master suite and bath were a nice retreat after busy days.

Our extended family had the opportunity to stay in this home. We had traveled from Nova Scotia & Ontario for our sons wedding. This home offered so much space and comfort. It was such a great find. We were able to spread out over the living room for TV watchers, the deck for quiet space and the kitchen/family area for shared times. Everything in this home was as the pictures showed and we were all very pleased to have found such a great spot. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Stayed here for 1 months in July 2011 for my sisters wedding so it was a home away from home coming from Ireland. Great place very nice house, the views are amazing. The whole family loved the house, plenty of space for the kids to play around in. The only 1 down side was that there were no fly screens on the windows so on hot nights couldn't open the window. I would stay here again if I'm ever in Nanaimo. Marilyn and her family were very friendly and helpful. Thanks a mil for putting up with us
