Welcome to our guest house nestled in a peaceful wooded setting in Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. The entire guest house is for your exclusive use. The guest house sleeps up to 6 people with 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa. Wireless internet is included. A net book can be borrowed by special request.
Our guest house provides all the comforts of home with a full kitchen which is fully equipped with coffee maker, microwave, glasses, dishes, utensils and cooking pots. Nanoose Bay is located on a peninsula on east side of Vancouver island just north of Nanaimo and south of Parksville. Our guest house is nestled in the woods yet only a 5 min drive to the beach where there are numerous water sport activities and fishing available. The area is known for its many pristine hiking and mountain biking trails (for all levels of fitness) many that include beautiful waterfalls and ocean views.
The nearest large shopping complex is only 10 mins away and includes movie theatres and a wide variety of restaurants. Also within a 10 min radius is the world class Fairwinds golfing resort and marina. A 15 min drive takes you to Parksville, which boasts a number of tourist attractions for families, including Coombs marketplace. Horseback riding is only a few mins away from our guest house. Take a day trip to BC’s capitol city of Victoria which is approximately 2 hours away.
For those of a more adventurous spirit there are the world famous Horne Lake caves for spelunking, and bungee-jumping, zip lining and high ropes at Wild Play in Nanaimo. Nordic and alpine skiing, snow shoeing and tubing at Mount Washington is just over an hour away. Explore Long Beach and Tofino a few hours away on the west coast where Canadian surfers ride the waves!

I had such a good experience at the guest house. There were four of us ladies having our annual getaway and it was perfect. I was met at the cottage upon arrival and shown around, made to feel completely welcome. We didn't see Cherylann until we left again but I know that had there been any problems she would have come down from the main house to help out in whatever way she could. The cottage was clean, quaint and perfect! We used the karaoke machine, played the guitar, barbecued, laughed and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. I hope to go back next time I visit the island!

This place is so wonderful. When we showed up, Cheryl ann and Kelly were there to welcome my family with open arms. Their hospitality was wonderful, always there for us when we had a question and ensuring that we were having a wonderful time.
Inside of the home we were greeted with a lovely batch of fresh eggs, cheeses, juices, teas, and fresh muffins. That was quite a lovely surprise! There are lots of great VHS and Dvd's (and a little stereo that hooks straight to your iPod for a little outdoor music if you want).
The home was cozy and the beds were wonderful. We spent most of our time hiking in the area or Bbqing on the deck :) The forest surrounding the area is so quiet and humbling. The hiking trails and the views are wonderful and there is a waterfall about an hour hike away.
Amenities were great. Everything we needed was there. We had a small gathering of two families for an afternoon while we were there and they absolutely loved the place as well.
There's nothing that I would change about this home. It was a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay there again in the future!
