A Little Piece of Heaven
My party of five family members stayed here over Christmas 2010. We all are annoyingly picky over accomodations, but could not find a single fault with our choice! Both the main house and guest house are neat, clean, well-furnished, and very comfortable, including the beds. The superb layout gave we five adults privacy. No amenity is lacking for both personal comfort and cooking--we are impressed. Indoor and outdoor lighting has been well-thought out and very good. We stayed here in the dead of winter (including rain) and still enjoyed the beautiful landscaping. The very private backyard boasts an inviting hot tub, gorgeous choice of plants with a Zen garden, and decks just made for great outdoor living--grilling/eating and sitting. Greeter/agent Dori provides the right touch of hospitality and information about the area's dining/sightseeing.
The property is within the city, allowing for both walking and a quick ride to downtown. We took in a local movie and good Napa restaurants. The sights of both Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley are not far off and can be done in day trips.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely. The place quickly feels like home. How many times can one get such value for the money! We look forward to another stay--hopefully this best kept secret won't be rented! Otherwise, I'll have to lie in my next review.

Napa Valley Wine Experience
Hi Paul & Bill
We would like to thank you for letting us rent your Bungalow in Napa. Your Bungalow was as described, it was great. Very well maintained and Beautiful. Everything we needed was at our finger tips, great job guys. Dori was a superb Host. She answered all our questions and gave us some great tips. Everything was in walking or driving distance. We had the best of times, walking downtown Napa, doing the wine Train, traveling up and down Silverado Trail along with Route 29, tasting and sampling wines from many Wineries and taking in several wine Tours ( we purchased a lot of wine and shipped it home. We had one great day in San Francisco. We did alcatraz, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Chocolate and the Cable cars.
Thank both of you Very much

Amazing stay in an amazing house.
I had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. The owners have thought of everything. The grounds and hot tub make the property zen like. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The owners and property manager are very nice and accommodating. I will stay here on future visits.

Late Summer in Napa
House, yard and guest quarters were fantastic. There was nothing we needed that wasn't included with the house. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Perfect vacation home. Bill, the owner, was very communicative and easy to work with.
The neighborhood isn't the greatest but at no time did we feel unsafe.
The property manager, Dori, promised us VIP wine tour tickets that we never received. She also specifically asked us to write something "nice" about her in the guest book, which we did not do. Her behavior was at times very unprofessional and was the only negative aspect of our stay.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend this home. It was perfect for two families as we each had our own space but also plenty of places to hang out and visit.

Owner
Hello Jennifer-
We read all reviews and take them to heart. We usually contact guests just after their stay to ask them what went well, what didn’t and what suggestions they might have to make our vacation rental even better. Many of those suggestions have been implemented. So, we took great notice of your review since we’ve never received a bad review since we opened two plus years ago.
First, we would like to thank you for your positive review of the bungalow and yards. We take great pride in providing comfortable and clean accommodations as well as a yard that is well manicured.
Second, we were quite surprised by your comment of our property manager, Dori. We have never had a negative comment about her. Reading our reviews, you’ll notice many of our guests speak of her with highest regards. Most have found her to be helpful, kind and informative, all being done with a smile. We have shared your comments with her.
We want to thank you for staying in the bungalow and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Best regards,
Paul Cotten

Fantastic place to stay
Our experience with Napa Vacation Bungalow exceeded
expectations from the very beginning. The rental
process was simple, and any questions I had about
the property were answered immediately. It was a
nice way to start what was to be one of the best
vacations we have ever had.
I chose Napa Vacation Bungalow based on the
terrific website, photos, and stellar reviews -
and, when we finally arrived, the house was even
lovelier than expected. It is perfectly appointed,
and we did not want for anything. Everything we
needed, from kitchen supplies to bath amenities, to
entertainment and internet access, was provided.
We were met by Dori, the property manager, when we
arrived. She was lovely, and gave us a thorough
description of the house, the area, as well as
suggestions for where to eat, and local activities
that we might enjoy. She was there when we needed
anything, and her bubbly personality was the
perfect welcome to our arrival.
Location is everything, and the house is situated
in the perfect spot. A short walk to downtown Napa,
which includes the developing riverfront, a number
of excellent restaurants and wine bars,
entertainment, and a public market; and an easy
drive to the heart of Napa wineries (Oakville, St
Helena, and Calistoga). Sonoma, the coast, and the
gorgeous Alexander Valley/Dry Creek region are all
accessible in under an hour (depending on which
route you take). And, after a day of exploring,
wine tasting, galleries, and shopping, there wasn't
anything better then returning to the house to cook
and enjoy dinner outside under the stars.
Incredible attention to detail, gorgeous decor and
landscape design, peaceful solitude, and a great
location made our stay unforgettable. It was
perfect, and we can't wait to return!
