this cozy cottage was perfect for our annual girls' weekend. way cheaper than a hotel and we had kitchen facilities. we loved walking to aBC for breakfast and to Gott's and the Oxbow Market for evening meals. it's a short drive to the outlet mall and it's a great home base for wine tasting weekends.
the backyard is wonderful for just hanging out in the evening. we had fabulous weather the weekend we were there.
walking up the ladder in a towel was an "adventure"...it certainly made us giggle. :-)

We stayed at Frog Hollow april 8 - 10th. We found the setup ideal for a travelling threesome. 2 bedrooms allowed for some privacy. The upstairs room is a little tricky (steep ladder) if you don't want to use outside steps to get to the bathroom (also after wine tasting all day). Does have a washer and dryer and a full kitchen. Location is a few blocks from restaurants in Napa - easy walk.

Minneapolis, MinnesotaPerfect Napa Getaway!
Left on 11/08/2012 for a stay in November 2012
My mom, sister and I stayed recently for a Napa Girls Getaway and this house was perfect! It was uniquely decorated, just the right size and fully furnished for a comfortable stay. We spent two nights at the house, while enjoying the town of Napa, a local restaurant (Celadon) and a wine tour through Platypus Tours. We easily walked to the grocery store (Safeway), Celadon and the ups store was conveniently located 0.2 miles away for easy shipping of our wine on the way out of town. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable, homey experience in the heart of Napa!

Frog Hollow House is so charming and it is conveniently located in the heart of Napa! We absolutely loved it. When you first enter, you are greeted by a laid back, California farm house style. We loved snuggling up with a bottle of wine and turning on the fire place. It is both luxurious and down to Earth.
The upstairs bedroom is so neat, you use a ladder to get to it or you can enter through the back porch balcony. It is perfect to enjoy coffee in the morning before a wine tour. The downstairs bedroom is quaint with a "shabby chic" style and a nice bathroom. The kitchen is also adorable and the house comes with so many great amenities, like a laundry room.
Finally, the yard is so beautiful! They really did a wonderful job with the landscaping. The patio is a perfect place to share a bottle of wine and enjoy dinner from the grill.
This house is perfect for one or two couples, I would definitely recommend it to friends staying in wine country!

Lovely historical updated house with great access to Hwy 29 (the main route in Napa) and Oxbow Market in downtown Napa. Perfect for the 2 of us - could add another couple. Spacious backyard with 2 eating areas (we didn't get to really use since we were there for only 3 days). House was totally equipped for a relaxing stay.
Our first time to rent a home instead of an hotel - process was very easy. Look forward to staying here again when we return to Napa. -

My husband and I stayed here for a delayed honeymoon, and we loved this house! The front porch is wonderful for relaxing evenings, and the expansive backyard is perfect for spending time with friends. The close proximity to a park and downtown Napa is such a plus. The house is very well kept and includes all the basics. We would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to Napa!

Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed at Frog Hollow last week and had a very nice time. It is a small cottage but has a nice back yard with a grill, which we used several times. There is a small bedroom downstairs and a small bathroom. The second bedroom is upstairs and to get to it, you have to climb a ladder or else enter through the outside entrance. We had a couple in their 20s so they used the larger upstairs bedroom because it was easier for them to climb the stairs. The weather was nice while we were there so it was not really an inconvenience to go outside to the upstairs bedroom. It would be nice to have at least a half bath upstairs to avoid climbing the ladder or going outside to the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs deck is not quite as shown in the picture because it needed to be cleaned up a little. I think the cottage would sleep 4 better than 6. The owner, Soni, was very easy to deal with. She answered my request for rental quickly and the rental agreement process was also easy. The week before we arrived she emailed the code to the door and instructions on what to do upon checking out. I would stay at Frog Hollow in the future when we return to Napa.

Clean, comfortable accomodations near the heart of Napa. Convenient to wonderful restaurants, wineries and all the Napa Valley has to offer. The only complaint we had was that the larger of the 2 bedrooms was difficult to get to for us, all of whom are over the age of 50...either you had to climb up a very steep staircase from the livingroom (only way to go down was to go backward) or to go outside the residence, up the back stairs accessable from the outdoor deck. As it rained half the time we were there, it turned out to be a bit inconvenient for those of us who needed to make nocturnal visits to the rest room. Other than that, it was more than adequate for our needs.

Frog Hollow is an adorable, comfortable vacation rental. The house itself couldn't be better -- comfortable beds, great backyard, and equipped kitchen. Add on top of that its proximity to restaurants, shopping, and my new favorite place, the Oxbow Public Market. The owner Soni was very quick to reply to emails and wonderful in the weeks leading up to our stay, forwarding emails to me of various events going on in Napa during our stay and offering a number of restaurant recommendations. None of us was ready to leave at the end of our vacation. One final note, I would be remiss to not mention the robes -- talk about luxurious. Thanks again, Soni, for such a great place!

We loved this house! Very cozy and comfortable with lovely little luxuries like hotel linens, fluffy towels, two headed shower, and even bath robes. Across the street from the pretty park and a few blocks walk to downtown Napa. Our favorite part however was the gorgeous backyard/patio/grill area which is perfect after spending the day at wineries, picking up a couple of bottles and groceries at Oxbow Market, and enjoying a wonderful dinner at the house.

There were three of us who shared the Frog Hollow and each of us loved it. The upstairs is a large loft that runs the length of the house. The main bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom and the kitchen downstairs. The kitchen had all of the amenities and then some. You could walk to downtown in about 15 mins, esp in the nice weather otherwise it's 5 min drive to Main Street. The street is very quiet and the backyard is spacious with seating and beautiful landscape.

My husband and I went to Napa for the first time with a few of our friends. It was the best vacation we have taken in a long time. Frog Hollow was perfect! Soni was so helpful and easy to work with. The property was adorable and had everything we needed. It felt like a home away from home. It was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed having wine/cheese on the beautiful back patio and the location of the cottage was perfect. Since we traveled with friends, we loved that we could all hang out together. If we were to stay at one of the resorts/hotels, we would not have be able to do that. We will for sure be coming back to Frog Hollow the next time we visit Napa!

There was a group of 5 of us who stayed in this home for a few days in august to celebrate my birthday. We had a lovely time. The house was in great shape and extremely clean. We found it to be more spacious then we had originally thought. It was very close to downtown so we were able to walk to dinner every night. The backyard was amazing, large, and private. I would certainly recommend this house to anyone!

The FrogHollow house was the perfect home away from home for us as we visited wine country. The house is charming and comfortable and has a great back yard for sipping on wine any time of day. We absolutely loved the place and were quite sad to leave even though we were moving on to our next destination. While there were only two of us who stayed, it is a perfect place to stay with 4 to six people - would have been an ideal place to stay with another couple. We plan to stay again next time we visit Napa. You can walk to the nearby restaurants and it's not a far drive to Sonoma and other wine country areas. I highly recommend this place as it makes for a much more enchanting experience than a hotel in Napa.

Frog Hollow was the perfect place to stay for a trip to wine country. The owner was very accommodating. The house was a great choice especially since we stayed for six days. Renting a house made it easier. We were able to make our own breakfasts or fix a bite to eat if we didn't feel like going out for dinner. The house was neat and clean. It was also well decorated and comfortable. It has one bathroom so I would consider it perfect for one couple or close friends/family. The location of Frog Hollow can't be beat! We can't wait to visit the area again and stay at Frog Hollow.

We stayed here on our first trip to Napa Valley with another couple. The house itself is located on a quiet, picturesque street where almost every property had beautiful roses in full bloom. The house is cute and comfortable. It's also very close to the wineries and great restaurants. It's really not that far from Sonoma as well. The town of Napa itself is very nice with lots of fully restored and well-maintained Victorian architecture. I would definitely stay here again.

Left on 04/25/2011 for a stay in September 2010
My husband and I stayed with another couple in this cottage during our first Napa experience. We found it on Tripadvisor, liked the pictures, and gave it a try. We would most definitely return to this B&B; if (when!) we return to Napa again.
Soni, the owner, was excellent to work with. She was prompt in all correspondence before and after our trip. Since this was our first time to Napa, we asked her some questions beforehand about various wineries and tours and her advice was very helpful. We had no issues are check-in or check-out... everything was exactly as she had told us.
Frog Hollow has a great location within Napa. It is close to the downtown (although it would be a bit of a walk- we always drove) and so close to the grocery store and restaurants/shops.
One comment I have is that there were four of us staying at Frog Hollow (two couples) and I felt like it was just the right size for us. Adding two more adults would have made it a bit crowded in my opinion (just taken away from the amount of "free space" you have)...kids would probably be fine though. Additionally, there is just one bathroom which was no problem for the 4 of us, but having 6 people get ready in the morning could be a bit of a squeeze.
Overall we loved Frog Hollow and would definitely recommend it to anyone we know going to Napa. It is a lovely house and we look forward to the next time we can stay there! -

We joined another family for a weekend away in Napa and all - including one toddler - just loved this beautiful cottage. I found myself wishing it were my own! It was impeccably decorated with a warm, welcoming feel. It was simple, clean, and uncluttered. Heated by a old-time stove and replete with thick blankets, soft chairs, and a terry cloth bathrobe, it felt very cozy. Lights are on dimmers, which is so nice. The beds are very comfortable and luxuriously made. Because it was rainy, we didn't get to take advantage of the back yard but that may be one of the greatest features of this home: a perfectly manicured lawn providing a beautiful setting in which to relax outside. The shared bathroom would be the only limitation. It wasn't a problem for us but might be for some.

We absolutely loved this adorable cottage style home in the heart of Napa! We were in the area for a friend's wedding and decided to make it an extended trip to explore the Napa Valley region. We wanted something more cozy and intimate than a hotel, but more private than a B&B.; Frog Hollow House was the perfect fit! It was cozy, well equipped in the kitchen, clean, cutely decorated and even had spa style robes! The centralized location made it easy to get out around town and take day trips further north to check out wineries and the other little towns. We would definitely stay here again!

If you want to stay in a place with character, and to enjoy a quiet, peaceful location which is still convenient to Napa, Frog Hollow is the oasis for you. It is just a few blocks from either the freeway or downtown Napa, next to a small park, in a neighborhood of classic little bungalows. The private backyard is lovely and fenced in - we enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine on the back patio. There were numerous little things that enhanced our visit and made this a good value - the comfortable bed, well-stocked kitchen with goodie basket, laundry facilities, off-street parking, lots of windows and light, and charming decor - to name a few. This was perfect for a romantic getaway.

Left on 10/16/2010 for a stay in October 2010
A group of five girlfriends and I traveled to the Frog Hollow for a birthday getaway. We enjoyed our time there immensely! Soni was super easy to work with, and, the pictures were true to the house. It's adorable cottage-like house located on a quaint street in downtown Napa. The backyard was amazing -- perfect for home cooked meals as the sun sets. The kitchen was also very condusive to cooking at home, which is what we wanted after a day of wine tasting around the valley. The location was perfect for us as we had a rental car -- which in my opinion was necessary. Downtown Napa is within walking distance as well, which was a fun way to spend one day -- visiting tasting rooms, restaurants and the Oxbow Public Market.
The only drawback was the noise of the house. Because we had six people staying, once one person was up the morning, we were all up. The loft upstairs is cute, but can be noisy when people are walking around, etc. Also, the only way to get up to the loft from inside the house is by using a built-in ladder. You could also use the back stairs, which we did, but it was a surprise to us that there was no staircase to get up/down inside the house. Minor thing!
Overall, I would highly recommend the Frog Hollow!!! It was perfect for a getaway with friends, but would also be lovely for a couple or two. Thanks Soni!! -

Brooklyn, NYHome away from Home
Left on 05/09/2010 for a stay in April 2010
When my fiance and I reserved our stay at frog hollow we were drawn to it for its reasonable price and great location for first ever trip to Napa Valley. We had heard a lot about the romantic spa experience that Napa is known for, but couldn't justify the price of any that looked interesting. All the cheap chain hotels and motels just seemed too impersonal for such a special trip.
However, what made a lasting impression, was not the economy, but was really how comfortable, well appointed, and definitively cozy the place was. I am a New York City architect so “country” or “Americana” style is not usually my thing, but aside from a few tiny details the over all decoration of the place was old time cottage and very nice. It was a little like staying at a favorite older aunts home. The location really was fantastic as we were able to be picked up and dropped off for our chartered wine tour with ease on one day and could walk everywhere down town – the galleries, the river front, Celedon, a great little bakery – ABC I think – and through quiet residential streets with adorable victorian and arts and crafts homes and incredible gardens on another.
Soni was so friendly, easy work with and accommodating – letting us leave our car in the driveway early on the wine tour day.
We made more use of the wood stove and kitchen than expected when our second day was very cold and rainy forcing us to stay in side for most of a day. We were so at home in Frog Hollow that we made tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, curled up on the very comfortable couch, and watched a movie just like home. Not at all what we expected for our trip, but a great relaxing day mid way through an otherwise adventurous week.
All in all I would say this vacation rental is perfect for couples who aren't looking for an ultra luxe spa type stay and prefer the casualness of a home like atmosphere or it would be absolutely perfect for families or longer stays in the Napa Valley. -

My husband, young daughter and I enjoyed our short two night stay at Frog
Hollow House. The house is cozy (and well-warmed by a pot-bellied stove in
the living room) and very comfortable - the sofa and chairs begged to be
lounged on and the bedding was equally comfy. The upstairs "loft" bedroom
runs the length of the house and is quite large - plenty of room to sleep larger
parties. Loved the hotel-like amenities, too - coffee, tea and mini bar-style
snacks in the kitchen and robes, fluffy towels and soaps/shampoo in the
bathroom. We will definitely be back!
