Saratoga, NYDream House with Fantastic amenities
Left on 03/13/2011 for a stay in July 2009
We rented this home to celebrate our marriage and it was the most beautiful place to be, very spacious for all to have their own getaway! We had a catered dinner by one of the owners that was absolutely superb. I wish we placed this review sooner, but life's to-do's distracted us.The view of the vineyard from the veranda was breathtaking, it was very private, and the pool was glorious. Its extremely comfortable, relaxing, and clean. We plan on coming back for our five year anniversary.

I rented this house for a long girls weekend. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of space. The house is beautiful. Very well decorated and comfortable. The Jacuzzi under the stars was amazing.
The location was perfect, since we did both Sonoma and Napa. I would highly suggest starting your morning at Domaine Carneros!!
Can't wait to go back! -

Left on 10/06/2009 for a stay in September 2009
What a beautiful home - the photos on the website really don't do it justice.
Great location, wonderful surroundings, peaceful, homely and beautifully
decorated, homely and comforatble - what more could one want? We had
everything we needed there.
We enjoyed relaxing in the swimming pool (although it was actually a bit too
warm) and the jacuzzi every day and when it was time to leave at the end of
the week we really didn't want to go. It was a perfect week away. We received a
warm welcome from the managing agent who was very helpful and advised us
of good wineries, restaurants etc to visit. I would recommend this villa to
anyone visiting the area and I would love to stay there again. -

Indiana, PAA wonderful week in Napa
Left on 10/04/2009 for a stay in September 2009
My family and I, including three adult children, and two friends recently stayed in this lovely home in Napa, CA. The overall ambiance of the home is wonderful; we could have been in Tuscany. Beautiful landscaping, great pool, well appointed kitchen. We did a fair amount of cooking and everything we could have needed was there. Outstanding weather, proximity to vineyards, and great wine all contributed to an excellent experience. I would certainly stay there again.

Dallas, TXgreat place, great location
Left on 08/06/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Our stay at the Napa Vacation Villa was almost perfect. We really loved
everything about the home: location, amenities (loved the hot tub after a day
of wine tours/tastings!, ambience. The only problem was that one of the 3
bedrooms wasn't air-conditioned. This may not normally be a problem, but
the week we were in Napa the temperatures hovered in the 90s. Even keeping
the curtains drawn didn't do a lot of good. Having a ceiling fan or a floor fan
would have made a tremendous difference.
The site managers were great. We met both of them and they were friendly
and helpful and most accommodating.
Other than the air-conditioning situation, we totally loved the place and would
love to stay there again, should the occasion arise.Response from Thom Thompson - 09/06/2009

We appreciate the guests bringing this to our attention. We have added a fan in the 2nd guest bedroom.

Bay Areasomewhat good
Left on 07/28/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Stayed with my wife and golden retriever for four nights.
With only two of us we couldn't take full advantage of the homes setup, which offers two complete living arrangements. This should be a really attractive feature for two couples.
The home has fairly nice grounds, small grass yard in front, nice pool views in the rear and a peek-view of a vineyard from the upstairs living area.
The home is tastefully decorated and certainly has the Tuscan feel which is advertised.
There were a few small issues like a two broken fans, one wouldn't turn on, while another wouldn't turn off. The nicer of the two BBQ's didn't work. Pool net was broke (I'd make sure the quests could skim the pool), deck chair broke, several lights burnt out. Maybe to be expected with a vacation property, but fixable.
Our biggest problem came with the heat. Our stay coincided with a triple digit heat wave. When we arrive for our 4pm check-in (11am check out?) the home was hot. The cleaners were just leaving so we assumed they had not used the air conditioning while cleaning. We soon learned the air conditioning wasn't keeping up with the heat. We called the real estate person tasked with managing the property and were told they were sending somebody out, but they never came. We thought this might have had something to do with it being a weekend. We spent about 48 hours in dreadful heat, night and day. Hard to enjoy yourself in this situation.
The heat did calm down by our last full day, but we mentioned our disappointment to the real estate person upon check out. I thought maybe we had a price adjustment coming our way, but it wasn't offered and it's not my style to ask.
Too bad really, close by is great food shopping (Whole Foods) and a good gym. Home owner Thom was easy to work with. The home is down-valley so it's close to the Bay Area with an up-valley feel.
Overall, somewhat good, but we weren't treated fairly in the end, so I'll use a different property on our next Napa vacation stayResponse from Thom Thompson - 09/06/2009
Owner
We pride ourselves on our high standards and as our properties are occupied by guests 95% of the time we need our guests to let us know if anything needs attention. I want to thank the guests for bringing these issues to my attention
We have made the noted repairs: the ceiling fans are now working (only one was in need of repair, the guest was unaware of the location of the wall switch that controled the other one)The AC had a clogged filter which was replaced and it is now both systems working fine. I was unaware of the guests dissatifaction until after the fact. The guests had my direct line and I would have appreciated a call so that I would of had the opportunity to correct the problem in a more timely mannor. -

We loved our stay at this beautifully furnished home in Napa, California. The upstairs has a large living room/dining room/kitchen area, a master bedroom with a beautiful view of a vineyard, and a bathroom. The first floor has two very nice bedrooms that open out to the outdoor living area off the pool, two bathrooms and a small living area and kitchen. We spent a great deal of our time sitting by the pool, in the spa, or in the outdoor living area. The home is conveniently located on the far east side of Napa but is close to Highway 29. Yountville and St. Helena are a very short drive and we loved Napa's Oxbow Public Market and the area on the river.

We had a fabulous time in this charming and cozy house. The pictures don't do it justice. We were celebrating a friends 40th birthday. The weather was terrific and wine tasting venues were not crowded. After a full day of wine tasting, we truly enjoyed unwinding at this lovely house. It was very clean, beds were comfortable and had all of the amenities one could ask for. If and when we return, we will stay at this Villa again. Oh yea the hot-tub was terrific and the pool had some crazy lights. The only caution is the house is located on a curved road, when you pull out of drive-way you better get after it...

There were three couples sharing your house and it was perfect for our needs. All of the bedrooms and baths were perfect for three couples to share. The property manager was very helpful in every way. We enjoyed the pool and spa each day after treking around the local wineries. The location was convenient. We had a wonderful time.

Left on 06/08/2009 for a stay in March 2009
We enjoyed staying in this home and felt it was represented fairly accurately on website. The home is in heavy residential area but house has a good deal of privacy despite being on a busy main road. Negatives were the washer and dryer were not working which we were not told about til we arrived. Also, the house has in most areas been nicely upgraded. However, bathrooms were dated and not same quality as rest of home especially the nice but small kitchen. The outdoor deck where barbeque was had no chairs or tables so we never used this area. Positives were that the house is clean and in good condition. The pool and spa were very nice and had comfortable lounge chairs around them. The location afforded a lot of privacy while being quite near grocery stores, gas station, shopping. It is a peaceful getaway though it is at least a half hour drive to most restaurants we wanted to go to. Owner was a pleasure to deal with.

The home was beautiful! The location was perfect--convenient to shops, yet a feeling that we were in our own private vineyard.
The house was very comfortable--so we decided to stay in one night and cook our own dinner and enjoy the surroundings. It was our best night in Napa! -

I found this place on VRBO.com. I've never been steered wrong on VRBO before and this was no different. The house was immaculate, fantastic kitchen and appliances. The rooms were lavish. The property was very close to the main road with shopping and grocery within a 5 minute drive. Perfect place for a big group doing some weekend wine tasting.

I have to say we were amazed at the warmth of this house. We have stayed in lots of rental houses, some quite new, and none have drawn us in quite like this Villa. Lots of room, great view, close to Napa with a feel of being out in the country. We were comfortable just hanging out. Every amenity and very clean. Everyone that came by had the same opinion. Will definately return!

I hesitate to review this property on line because the more people that
find out about it, then the secret's out! Great vacation, beautifully
decorated home, wonderful swimming pool, and very very comfortable
beds. Thanks to Thom and his staff for taking such good care of us.
We're coming back again....only 1 hour away from San Francisco,
We felt like we were in Provence, Tuscanny & Napa all at once.
Biking, hiking, grilling great food, and did I mention the wine? -

Highlands NCA wonderful part of a Napa experience
Left on 05/25/2009 for a stay in March 2009
The villa were the accommodations that were a part of a trip we won at The Collective Spirits Wine Event held in Highlands, NC.
Making the arrangement with the owners was flawless and they were accommodating with an early check in. Upon our arrival we were met by their representative who went over the entire house with us and encouraged to call her if there were any problem.
To drive into the parking area and see the house was so exciting. It is just beautiful and in a perfect location. All the bedrooms have their own private areas which makes it very nice and can provide some alone time if you want it. The pool area is a great place for morning coffee or a place to unwind at the end of the day. The kitchen is well equipped and, along with the living room and dining area, provided the perfect atmosphere to cook and dine and commiserate with one another.
I would recommend this accommodation for anyone, whether it be several couples as we were, or families for the perfect spot to locate while exploring all the wine country has to offer. -

Wow! What a beautiful home! We took more pictures of the house than the vacation. You'll see why we you get there. We didn't want to leave. Secluded and yet close to the wineries, restaurants, shopping, etc. We would do all our activities during the day and then enjoy the villa in the afternoon/evening hours by the beautiful pool. We definitely recommend this place to others. I'm planning on coming back.
