We stayed in one of only 2 rooms with any view of the sea, which was from the balcony and looked down the private path between the seaside properties to the very small beach. There is nowhere to sit close to the beach other than on the path, as sand is absent at high tide. It's fine if you just want to swim then go back to your room. The room is much in need of a makeover to bring it up to current expectations. Positively, it was very quiet and close to nice small shops and the owners were pleasant and helpful. WiFi was good.

The Hale Maui was immaculate with everything anyone would need. The apartments are quiet, cozy and affordable in a great location. The Hale Maui is mere seconds away from the ocean after a walk down a nice garden path to the beach where you can swim, snorkel, watch whales and turtles or a gorgeous sunset! A couple of farmers markets and delis, a beach park and coffee shop are within a few minutes walk. The family atmosphere and hospitality provided by the ownews only adds to the positive attributes of the Hale Maui. We hope to return soon!

Wonderful people Marika and her family. They make you feel so welcome and enjoy talking w/ everyone. Hosted a BBQ and introduced all guests. The apt is comfortable, you have most all of the conveniences of home. Their place is very relaxing and I would suggest it to any of my friends and family. Warm, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Lots of local things to do close by as well. I will return one day soon I hope.
