This one bedroom one bathroom condo has been taken down to the studs with all new sheetrock, new tile, new doors, new stainless appliances, new granite, new custom wood cabinets, new decorator furnishings, new flat panel TV"s, new stereo, supplied beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, the list goes on. Our interior finish is 5 star quality and only steps to the ocean.

Why stay at one of the expensive resorts when you can get your own condo for a week at half the price? David was a great host, he answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns when we booked the condo and before we checked in. The place was "move-in ready" when we got there, complete with cookware, small appliances, and even beach gear which we found very useful.
The complex was very quiet and although older, seemed very well-maintained. Our condo looked great, the renovations gave it a very modern, clean and comfortable feel. We relaxed on the beach deck every evening, and Kaanapali beach with its miles of sand was just a short walk down the road. The condo location was great - we walked to local restaurants for breakfast and dinner every evening. We didn't really use our car unless we were going on a tour in another part of the island! The snorkeling would have been great directly in front of the condo, but the unseasonably high rough surf (very rare this time of year according to all the locals we talked to) made snorkeling in that spot a little unsafe for non-experts so we found plenty of other places on the island for that.
The only issue we had with the condo was that some ants decided they wanted to stay there too - we did find some ant killer under the sink that took care of them for the rest of our visit. Overall it was a wonderful little home away from home - thanks for sharing it with us David, we had a great time! -

This condo was very clean, top quality upgrades, wireless internet that worked very well,in a building 7 of a 7 building two storied resort setting. The bed was excellent, the kitchen very well-equipped for people who make heir own meals while away, There is a pool in the complex, lots of tropical plants and for the most part very quiet, As the resort is older, there are some condos under renovation and that was a problem for a few days as tiles were being installed int the next condo to ours.. Grocery stores, weekly market, coffee shop were in walking distance. The water was extremely high eliminating the beach in front of the resort when we were there so we could not swim there so drove to a great beach 5 minutes away.
We would be happy to return to this resort on another visit. The beach situation makes the place not so conducive to a family with children. It is a lovely place to sit on the lawn and watch the sunset or watch for whales...very enjoyable.Response from David L - 04/09/2012

The guest stayed at the condo when the condo next door was being remodeled and it is now finished! The tides are out 80% of the time in front of the complex allowing for easy swimming and snorkeling. A few days each month the tides are in along the shore line. There is a beach park one block away that also has children playgrounds!

This condo was the perfect choice for our stay in Maui. It was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and well-priced. We appreciated the Wi-Fi, David's book of tips about the area, and the beautiful location. We were able to watch whale in the waters on the observation deck in the complex.
There was a very nice beachwalk not far from the condo. A car was needed to visit the towns around the area.
Our favorite was the Coastal Trail that went from DT Fleming Beach to Kapalua Beach--a great hike!
If I get to Maui again I would definitely try to stay here! -

We are at the end of a two week stay in this condo and I don't want to leave. We want to move in.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo. The high end touches like tile, granite, new stainless steel appliances, quality quiet ceiling fans and comfy furniture from the recent remodel made our stay on Maui perfect. The high end updates in this unit make it a real bargain. It also has a feature quite rare on Maui - an air conditioner. We found that 95% of the time, the trade winds blew cooling air through the unit but if the trades died down, we were very grateful to have air conditioning available.
The condo was spotless when we arrived. The cleaning person really does a great job. It was so well stocked with just about everything we needed to make this condo feel like home. There were even 3 sets of snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach mats and big fluffy beach towels available for us to use.
We love the location just north of the Kaanapali Beach area. There are so many great dining options nearby. We really enjoyed China Boat's $7.99 lunch special, the panko crusted fish at Okazuya, sunset meals at aloha Mixed Plate, pancakes and fried rice at Gazebo, watching the Feast of Lele from Betty's and Ono Gelato's lilikoi gelato. Our favorite dining surprise was Star Noodle. Great pad thai.
Snorkeling at Honolua Bay was just amazing! It has one of the biggest coral gardens we have ever seen.
The owner of this condo, David, was a pleasure to deal with. He was wonderful at answering my questions and working with my available dates. We could really see the love he has for this complex and Maui in his attention to detail in his condo. I would love to come back to Maui and stay in one of his rentals again.
