My favourite location for accommodation on Maui is Honokowai - it is beautiful, & close to lahaina and kaanapali. And this condo (which is more like a top floor, big, 2-story townhouse) is the best place i have had the good fortune to stay in the 'hood. It is well taken care of, the kitchen is big, the lanai is huge. The view and location are unbeatable - of all the condos along this strip i have stayed in, the beach out front outshines them all. Also worth noting, the pool has a hot tub attached, which is quite rare. The bbqs are great and a great spot to meet the other folks in the complex. Everyone will describe nearby snorkeling spots (there is a great reef right out front) and tips on restaurants if you aren't cooking at home. (Mala, Star Noodle, Choice Health Bar, Mama's Fish House - all amazing for different reasons).
There is 1 b.rm on each floor, and a sofa bed in the lvg rm - the space is large enough that you'll always have space, even if you're filling up the beds.
The condo is steps from the best healthy grocery store on the west side, Honokawai Farmer's Market - it has a farmer's market in the parking lot several days a week and lots of house made items inside, organic produce & full grocery store. Its next to a great coffee spot, and a surfboard rental spot. (The last time we were there, we supped with huge turtles, and watched manta rays swim back and forth in front of the condo every morning.)
Further south is Kaanapali, miles of beachfront walking, beaches, hotels with open restaurants, whaler's village (shopping center). not too far from the condo you'll find the most popular fish market on Maui, called The Fish Market, and one plaza over, a supermarket with everything you'd need. I can't wait to be booking my next stay at Beth's condo - it ws amazing and I hope you have the chance to experience it too.

It is always great to know my guests love our condo as much as we do! Our condo is warm and inviting and a real home away from home, and I think our guests really respond to that. Of course all of that space with the cathedral ceilings doesn't hurt either. And we agree, Hale Mahina is the perfect location in West Maui, the best sunsets, tons of turtles and whales to watch, and easy to get around.
