Monte di Dio is a quiet 4th-floor apartment (55 m²) with a balcony that overlooks the garden. The living room (16 m² - west facing) gives out onto the balcony and is furnished with a double sofa-bed, a table and 4 chairs, and a corner cabinet. The kitchen (7 m² - east facing) window looks out onto the yard. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, 4 stove elements, an electric oven, and dishwasher. The window in the master bedroom (13 m² - north facing) also looks out onto the yard. There is a double bed, wardrobe and armchair in this bedroom. The second bedroom (7 m² - north facing) has two single beds and a wardro...be (it is not a closed room and there are no windows). There is a washing machine in the laundry room (1.50 m² - east facing) and a window that overlooks the yard. The bathroom (3 m²) has a bathtub with shower, sink, bidet, and toilet. Additional Location Information

The apartment is in San Ferdinando (more commonly referred to as Pizzofalcone). The neighbourhood’s many palaces, such as Palazzo Serra di Cassano, seem to insulate the area from the city’s noise. Nonetheless, you won’t have far to go to find a bustling and lively atmosphere—just head to the alleys that lead to the Santa Lucia district. Monte di Dio is conveniently located between the Chiaia neighbourhood and all its boutiques and Via Toledo, just minutes from the Royal Palace and Naples' opera. If you are interested in exploring Naples’ islands they are easy to get to as the port is only a short distance away.

  A good escape from the hustle and bustle

  This apartment in Naple's historic centre is reasonable value and very convenient for exploring the city core. Located in an older building on a smaller street, the entry through and inner courtyard ensures a quiet respite from the chaotic hustle and bustle outside. A terrace overlooking another inner courtyard with garden is also a welcome oasis of calm.
  
  The apartment itself has really only 1.5 bedrooms since the 2nd "bedroom" is an open alcove. However, the living room also has a sofa bed and can be used as an enclosed sleeping area as well.
  
  Overall the apartment has all the advertised facilities and was reasonably comfortable and functional. The major appliances were a little older and the location of the clothes washer somewhat inconvenient but all worked reasonably well.
  
  Access to and from the apartment by car is a bit challenging if one is not familiar with traffic in european urban centres. There are 3 conveniently located parking garages to leave the automobile during your stay. Day trips by car outside the city are not recommended from this location. As of June 2012, there was major construction by the major downtown arteries for new subway lines. No firm date is set for completion. This adds to the difficulties of driving in the core.
  
  However, the apartment is a short walking distance from the port, with ferries to Capri, Ischia and the amalfi coast. The train station is further away, requiring a bus or taxi to get there.
  
  The Locappart representative in the city was most helpful and available anytime by cell phone for information or assistance. Overall, a reasonably good value for an urban stay for a single or couple.
