Villa Del Sol was a spectacular home and the pictures on the website did not do it justice in any way. It was far more spacious than I imagined and had so many living/gathering areas that my family did not have time to use them all in the week we were there. The villa was very nice--well cared for, but the best part of it was the exquisite setting and the grounds. They were off the charts! The house felt very formal and the caretaker was fussy about everything. He made sure everything outside was immaculately kept.Given the price of the villa, I was surprised that there was no daily housekeeping or suggestion of a cook. When we travel to the Caribbean and rent similar properties, we always have helpers supplied. The Villa was beautiful & amenities outstanding! The proximity to the pretty, clean beach was great. We went to the beach each morning and built sand castles, gathered shells & enjoyed the water. We went to the beach each evening & enjoyed the most lovely sunsets. We swam in the wonderful pool several times each day. Enjoyed lunch in the awesome outdoor dining area. We played bocce in the yard. The grounds were stunning & meticulously groomed. Waterfall & koi ponds delightful. We enjoyed sitting on the comfortable outdoor furniture as we enjoyed the amazing views. Inside the villa everything was over the top lovely - elegant decor. We especially enjoyed the theatre room, the sound system, the piano, the showers, fun candy drawers, the spaciousness, the outdoor areas. The caretaker, Rob, was attentive, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed good food, shopping & spas around Naples. This was definitely a luxury retreat that my family and I, ages 1 to 56, thorougly enjoyed!
