My husband and I stayed in May for our 17th anniversary. Everything was very nice. I really have no complaints except that the bed was a little small for us cause we are use to a king size. Loved Nate & Rhonda! And even skipper!! Lol. Everything was clean and there were fresh flowers waiting when we got there. They have a real God-given gift of hospitallity. Loved every minute of our stay! If we r ever back in Nashville, they will be getting another call from us!!

We came down to the area for a concert and found this place and decided to stay there. We rely enjoyed it, and were very happy we did. The little cottage was very nice and very clean and cozy. We enjoyed walking around the farm every day, watching the wild life. Staying here you are out in the country, but also just a short ride to shopping and restaurants. We also visited long hunter state park, very close by. We also so went horse back riding close by, which was very fun. Nate and Rhonda are the nicest people you could meet and had some great conversations with them. We also had a nice fire outside at night.Nice porch to sit on and a grill to cook out on as well. Our only regret was not staying longer, we will be back to try out the other cottage and cabin. Highly recommended.

I truly hated to leave to head home! The property was beautiful in a simple country way. If you are looking for a relaxing, clean, close to Nashville sites, but away from the city life too, then this is it. The other two cabins were booked and Rhonda was honest about the size of this cabin. This worked out just fine since we like to explore during the day and have a comfortable clean place to rest at night. The hosts were delightfully charming.. I believe my husband found a kindred spirit in Nate. The cabin was spotless, a light on waiting for us w the heat running to chase the slight chill in the air away. We loved the privacy, loved the scenery...everything! Rhonda even had a notebook of interesting sites, area grocery and restaurants along with directions, phone numbers, even their story of the farm and family. Very thought out in every way. The hosts of the property were gracious, informative, delightful and yet never intrusive.

If you are looking for a quiet, cozy get-away, this is the place to stay! The calico is small, without being cramped or crowded, pleasantly decorated and with all the comforts of home (microwave, coffee maker, television and DVD player). The pride and love that Rhonda and Nate have for their business and property shows with beautiful surroundings that are well maintained, clean, and inviting to all. We consider ourselves lucky to have had the opportunity to speak with both Rhonda and Nate on a few occasions during our stay, what great people! We are already planning for our next stay with them later this year.

From the moment we met Pam & Tim we felt like we had known them for a long time, so friendly and warm. Nate and I enjoyed our conversations with them and thought how nice it would be if they lived nearby where we could visit occasionally. Thank you for your nice review folks! We look forward to having you come back. :)

I made two recent trips to Nashville and had the pleasure of staying a Rockhaven Cabins. The first was a romantic getaway and concert event. Rhonda told me from the start the only cabin she had available that weekend was The Calico Cottage. She was honest regarding the size and amenities of the cabin and even sent me information on other lodging in the area, should I have decided it wouldn't work for us. Because of her honesty and just sweet nature, we went ahead and booked the Calico. It was a small quaint cabin but had everything we needed and then some. Rhonda was even kind enough to give us some farm fresh eggs for Saturday morning's breakfast. It was the finishing touch and we haven't had eggs that good since! The next weekend was a girl's weekend getaway and we stayed in the Magnolia Cottage. The Magnolia was quite a bit larger and just as comfortable and beautifully decorated. Rhonda and Nate went out of their way to make us feel like family despite never meeting us. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and have recommended it to all friends and family. I feel as if I have made friends for life and can't wait until my next trip to Nashville!

Our cute Calico Cottage was wonderful! Coming from the hustle and bustle of Chicago, we truly enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful location. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the porch in the mornings! The cottage was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed! Nate and Rhonda have a fascinating story and we are grateful to have crossed paths with them! We will definitely be back!

Rhonda and Nate have the perfect place to relax but also being convenient for Nasville touring.
My sister and I stayed in the Calico Cottage and it was perfect for us as we were spending a lot of time touring the city. Had all the amenities we needed, was comfortable and enjoyed the front porch to watch the geese, listen to the birds and 'chill'!
Highly recommend staying here! -

New Carlisle, OhioAnother great visit to Rockhaven!
Left on 02/22/2013 for a stay in December 2012
I stayed at Rockhaven not long ago with a friend, we rented Uncle Pete's Cabin. I came back by myself for another visit to Nashville this month. The only rental they had available was their little Calico Cottage. Since I had stayed on this property before, I knew I had nothing to worry about. The Calico is small and compact, but well designed. The bed was comfortable, the surroundings are quiet, and peaceful. This place is just beautiful, even in the winter months. I felt safe and secure behind the Powell's security gate, and I had control of getting in and out with the remote gate opener they provide. I don't know of a cozier place to stay, and I would come back in a minute. Rhonda and Nate are professionals, not only at designing and building their rentals, but in the way they care for their place, the rentals are always immaculately clean and so comfortable. Their southern hospitality is outstanding. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! I look forward to coming back in the summer when I can enjoy all your pretty flowers.

Ruth is such a sweet lady, so complimentary and nice to talk with. We talked a lot about our love for beautiful flowers. She showed me some photos of her flower gardens and they are amazing, she definitely has a green thumb! Thank you Ruth for coming back and for your comments about our place!

This little cottage was just right for my husband and I- it was absolutely spotless and furnished beautifully. We truly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to anyone who prefers privacy and quiet to the typical hotel atmosphere.
