      Melbourne

Experience all Nashville has to offer in this leafy hideaway

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We are from Melbourne australia and together with one of our adult daughters we flew from Vegas to Nashville for a week.

The home is an easy 1/2 hour from Nashville city in a beautiful treed area called Pasquo not far from Bellevue and the start of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The area is now just as famous for the popular and must visit Loveless Cafe (Tennessee homestyle cooking at its best) and Chaffeys Barn (show and dinner) each 1 mile away.

The home is on 5 acres. Recently renovated, the time we did spend inside apart from the bedrooms was the living area as we ate every morning- and the nights we were home- on the back patio to experience the cool morning breezes and warm night air (having arrived from a cold Melbourne winter) whilst eating cheeses and sipping on a wine or an ice cold Tennessee beer.

Supermarkets and shopping are less than 2 miles away and the area is not short of fine dining either (can reccommend 360 about 15 mins away & Mere Bulles about 20 mins away) and many other cafes and restaurants.

The historic town of Franklin and the beautiful village of Leipers Fork are only half hour away too. Must visit places.

We did al the must do tourist things in Nashville but we also loved some of the local sights such as Belle Meade plantation,Belle Meade area, Cheekwood Botanical gardens.

Downsides? Well could not think of many to be honest. Internet wifi would have been good but my wife loved seeing me not check my emails daily.

In short if you want a 5 star hotel experience go and do that and pay for it in Nashville. If however you want a home away from home not too far from Nashville that you cannot get to where ever you want and see whatever you want but far enough away from the city that you can start to experience something of Tennessee living and hospitality in a semi rural environment then I cannot reccommend this place highly enough.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is in perfect condition and was set in a beautiful, wooded area. The house is nicely and comfortably furnished. Great kitchen and plenty of room for everyone. Great place to get away and relax. Wonderful environment for families and kids too. Convenient to nearby stores and restaurants. Our host was wonderful, helpful and very pleasant. We recommend this house for sure!
